keychron, jade mini e, fox do not work not because of a different polarity, but because the magnet is rotated 90 degrees and the magnetic field is located near the LED, and not directly under the sensor. By the way, is it really true that the geons fixed their magnet and it is not so strong? It’s difficult to measure this on wooting lol, it would of course be better visible on a keyboard/keypad that shows raw data 😭

Eh, it’s a different foam pad. You can’t use the prebuilt’s foam pad with a PC plate but you get fitting foam with your PC plate if that’s what you want to know.

So best course of action is module foam in tofu case with the module itself since it’s PC

No, the magnet is not the same. I think Raw HE’s and presumably all short travel switches from Grain Gold have a stronger(?) magnet. I tested this with a Black Knight stem in the Raw HE housing and it didn’t reach 4mm on Analog Monitor (tests were done after recalibrating of course).

You can use 4.0mm in Wootility with Jades just fine. It’s a bit confusing but the slider in Wootility is percentage rather than millimeters. So if you set Jades to 4.0mm in Wootility, they’ll actuate at 3.5mm or so in practice. 🙂

The bottom housing of Raptors and Black Knights are identical and the top housing of the Black Knights is tighter than the Raptors’. Unless you’re going for aesthetics and want the red top housing with the black box stem, it’s not really worth doing.

So I’m very well versed in this. The Dash switch as is can not lift the Cerakey spacebar. At minimum an L60 spring can be swapped in and it will work. However when you pop in a heavy spring (100g) it’s a night and day difference with the Cerakey spacebar. The 60 rebounds weakly whereas the 100 has a nice positive snap back.

@harsh dove I had a thought about lubing springs/top housing, would it work better theoretically to lube the springs with super lube them put a pretty heavy lube of 205 on the ends of the springs to make sure that the rebound sound isn't as loud?

I guess this is mostly an HE switch specific problem but Im trying to figure out what I can try

I feel like lubing the top housing wouldn't really tackle it fully as I think it's mostly spring noise, even lubing mine with super lube I still kind of notice that scruncy rebound sound cause of the weight of the stem

No need unless you plan to use 3rd party keycaps that aren’t of quality. If you use Wooting’s stock keycaps, non-long pole or stock stabs are perfectly fine.
