Similar but a little poppier
they have silicone inside them
I think I've found the switch I'm going for thanks
do tell
I donāt want to mix sets cause I know thatās a pain to do
or so people have said
Lavenders
yessir
Well GMK Nines is basically Boneyard (and Boneyard r2 is coming soon)
Just mixing and matching of any two sets really.
Boneyard does include a 1.75U space bar in its forties
It doesnāt really matter anyway, I just use 65%ās 1.75U RShift now.
good hanging out w you guys
does it matter what silicone kit i use to make a mold?
@median spade sorry to keep bothering you, did you need long pole stabs for the jades?
Nope
https://kbdfans.com/products/gmk-black-snail?variant=41764305535115
This just opened up. Looks beautiful.

what keycaps are those btw, im sure you have said b4
GMK Symbiote
im keepin my eyes peeped for some good legit gmk deals!
anyone got any recs for switch pullers
how were the lavenders
They're great, similar to Jades, top housing I think makes the most of the difference
do u prefer them over jades?
Little deeper, more poppier
Titanium alloy Full Titanium alloy construction makes the opener very light yet extremely durable. Thin yet durable legs Titanium alloy makes the thin legs resistant to bending and deforming. Can slip between the case and the neighboring switch without scraping the case. Short claws The claws are...
Idk yet, I'll type on them over the course of the week and over the weekend and see, I most likely will, plus they're also cheaper
theyre a little too quiet for me
do u think i should get jades?
Itās 4.50 for 10 right
does this damage the housing>?
havent had any issues with it
Yeah
Really up to you, I don't think they're that quiet
You still streaming?
Yeah they are much cheaper than jades
Nah
I was abt to say haha
Thank god I didnāt impulse buy jades
What was it like
The factory lube is good, or thick as Tirade said lol and stem wobble is good, little deeper and poppier than the Jades
basically the same sound as Jades but a lower pitch
Howās shipping
Ah
Can you clip a sound test for me?
U live in us right?
How much was it?
Yea
$27 for shipping lol
31.50 for 70 lavenders is crazy deal
Damn
šš
18.66 for me in FL
Might be cheaper for some of you cause DHL considers me "Remote Area" and charges more but depends
Swagkeys
when it comes to cases for the 60he, is the tofu60 redux the cheapest metal case or are there other options?
ya figured
Same in MA
Same here in TX
US base probs and then the 27 for the "remote areas"
kbd news gets you 1.54 cents off LMAO
YUHHHHH š„
just ordered a white alumaze
the demons took over
lolz
ill prob just use the ones i have now, gmk amethyst clones
mmm
ye
just cheaper and from aliexpress LMAO
getting my beast x 8k thats the purpl and white version sometime soon i hope
osm worldwide been fucking me over
i got a Beast X Max in black
if I use the Jades, do I need to adjust the analog curve (when emulating controller) to 3.5mm travel distance?
or I can just leave it at 4mm like actuation point?
Oh it arrived?
well, no, I ordered one
any.
discord needs to stop
ā> any.ā*
what happened
they made it so > turns into whatever that is
- too
ā*ā
- itās just annoying
š¦
there should be an option to format and to not format messages
- yo momma
italic and bold are fine cause those use one before and after
what do you even call this? what is it for?
sounds annoying
Beastx mini in lilac for me
anyways back to kb modding
this is for quotes
I have the glorious switch puller and that seems to work pretty fine. It was also pretty inexpensive.
Any switch puller does the job really. TXās design is just great in general, thatās why I recommend it every time. š
The only switch puller Iāve seen that doesnāt rely on pinching the top housing or denting and/or scratching the plate.
well.. the one ithat came with my keychron q5 was Ass so.... while it does do the job. Id rather hire a contractor
.>
given that i dont even see sensors on the images you send who knows. as i mentioned the other side of the pcb wasnt posted in here
The other side of the PCB solely has those HE sensor and LED combos.
could be their he sensors are I2C so they do the ADC internally
I2c can have like 128devices or smth but you lose the benefit of the control of ADC since it would be in the package of the sensor
define expensive
the multiplexer we recommend has an avg of like 70-75 cents if you buy a singular one
and it already goes down to 55-60 cents often when getting 10
As in thatād be the reason they went with those HE sensor X LED
Hmm, are the HE sensor + LEDs cheaper then?
sensor + led is cheaper than the combination id imagine
i havent seen the combined version on the free market yet (although i also dont hunt for finding out)
The HE sensor is tiny, even the combo is smaller than the LEDs in Wootās boards
yes we mainly wanted nice and bright RGB
and for bright you usually want a slightly bigger package so the LED doesnt wear itself out unnecessarily
as in sinking heat better
oh makes sense
Why does the pcb look wet
although im not even sure how much it saves cause the components are tiny to begin with
like a coating for spills I think
Ah
Woot has it over the entire PCB, ATK just the top
Would you want it to coat the entire board?
ideally yes
Odd but probably cheaper ig?
I think so but more exp prob
yes
Makes sense
actually I donāt think the ATK is a coating
but yeah i imagine ATK went full cost saving with the PCB
if its coating id be confused about the strip left uncoated
yeah exactly
but if it is flux itās also on the opposite side of the HE/LED where there is no component
so idk šš
also found what looks like multiplexers on the ATK board. they just use x8 ones not x16
also talked with jeroen about matrix analog solutions and you could do it like traditional switches but you lose tons of time and cant scan the keys as fast
apparently youd basically have an enable pin (so even more pins) and then you can basically enable/disable each sensor 1 by 1 and read it 1 by 1
Anyone can suggest what good keycaps are there to replace wooting 60he original keycaps thatās better than it
define better
is there a list of all he switches that are compatible with the wooting similar to list of aftermarket cases?
thereās one in #šŖāmodding_faq the latest post
tho it probably does not cover all compatible switches
how did i miss that lol thank you
Like more smooth to click as the original feels sticky
or your keycaps are dirty if they feel sticky to the touch
id be confused how our factory lubed switches would be sticky though
I bought a pc plate for 60he+, if I wanna use this with a metal case do I need the silicone standoff rings because I don't have them
Hey guys, I am looking ot buy a tofu60 case to mod my soon to come 60HE. On some website there is an option to add a wieght bar in the case, it's purpose is just to add weight and possibly gain stability right ?
its purely weight
thanks !
Donc avec le logiciel tu fais le firmware compatible avec le PCB ? Si cāest ca cāest insane
no
Had this one before, was unhappy with the fonts so I sent it back and got the GMK WoB instead
I pretty much paid the same, for KDBfans it was 87 base + 40 for the international kit and the GMK WoB including the international kit was 145
I'm usually not that picky but I really felt like it was too much money for the font quality kdbfans offers
Also I'm German and happy to have contributed to my own economy
Now I just need some accent keys to flash it up
er are you mixing up sets here?
he linked gmk black snail
yeah black snail is gmk, it's not pbtfans
Ahhh good
Misunderstood, good choice then, PBTfans isn't good
Overpriced and bad quality
I mean I got PBTFans in first place because I thought it'd be cheaper but having received it and unhappy with the legends quality, I did the math and the WoB from GMK which includes the NorDEUK kit costs me the same lol
Almost the same, it's like 20 bucks difference
I've been using a BoW set from GMK for the past 7 years actually and got excited because I thought pbt double shot, good quality, not, back to GMK š
But yeah due to COVID and inflation, everything is really expensive, I paid I think around 90 for that set from GMK 7 years ago
Will never go white again though, that's my life lesson with keycaps, especially abs
Although GMK had themselves some horrid faulty white ws1 and WS2 sets, probably due to COVID and supply issues
In 2021
WS1 and WS2 turning into Hennessy
YIPPEE!!!
Where did u order from im guessing ur American cause of the dollars
I bought them off Divinikey
The material quality is actually really good, they are anyways the only ones who make proper PBT double shot, others are mostly sub-dye
But yeah I got the set this week and the legends are just too upsetting for the money I paid for it, even though technically it's better than all the ducky OEM pbt stuff for 60 bucks which isn't much cheaper than actually a PBTFans set
But then I saw that with the international kit, I ended up paying 130 for the PBTFans and the GMK is 145 so I decided to return the PBTFans and get the GMK set
Which is actually manufactured in Germany, has much better QC, the best legends from any manufacturer, nice colors and double shot. Only downside is ABS
it's mostly just their mod keys that sometimes have issues
that's why i recommend people get the symbol mods instead of alpha mods for pbtfans
Yeah but they have terrible QC, some of my alphas were also skewed, you have to be lucky to get a good set and for that the price is way too high, that's not the case with GMK
I mean the key cap material is great and thick but looking at the graphics and alphas i thought "I paid 130 for this, no thank you"
The Ć for example from my international kit looked like an A with bunny ears
I'd take such a kit for 5 bucks not not 35
God also knows where kdbfans has their caps made, there's no video or info on their fabrication
They probably switch factories for the best price and then charge their name on it, at least with GMK I know where and how it's made
Touch typing is great because I never look at my legeneds, I just like GMK for the sound and it being abs
^
If GMK made blanks Iād buy em
My touch typing isnāt the greatest, I have a bad habit of using my index on spacebar for some reason but I still donāt need to look at my board
I love touch typing
I just dont believe in myself enough to not glance at my keyboard every 5 seconds
Been typing on these Lavenders all morning, Iām definitely liking that deeper poppier sound
Think ima gonna switch out the POM with Alu plate when I get home and see how that is

i truly appreciate that you do this!
GMK Redline is such a good looking set
thats a nice case
If your keyboard is going to have tail lights on it, you need to put redline keycaps on it.
Bottom should be a license plate lol
Deeper and poppier donāt seem to go together in my mind. I missed the streams. What do they sound like?
And curious how @stray tiger might compare them to the stem swapped raptors
Id sday its around the same pitch, but a bit more hollow/poppier. If I had to describe it Id say like this https://youtu.be/IgzyaEz4mC4?si=FVlB2fR6gV8E5M1Z&t=36

Closer to a jade but not as sharp. Not really deeper, but snappier
I dunno it just triggers me when I look at the keyboard,I might as well get dots then š„²
Gotcha. Yeah Iāll try to catch a stream or sound test at some point but Iāll probably pass for now.
Thanks for tip
Save up for a frog mini and Alu keycaps instead
Iāll see if I can make a more proper sound test when I get home
I have the VOD up for the stream but I feel like it doesnāt do them justice really
Looks nice but the legends are a tad too dim I feel, especially when wear comes into play later
Omg it has a license plate as well š
Thatās awesome
Which is the case?
Guys what sounds better the foam that comes in the default wooting case or the foam that comes with the tofu 60 redux
there should be a GMK set with the german license plate font
The wooting foam dose look thicker but idk if I should use it because itās a little to small and dosent fit completely in the case
very good font
That'd be awesome
the 0 and the 9 might be a bit difficult to do tho
All our ears are different but to me, slightly deeper pitch, same sound, and poppier
Bottom Out š
Top Out š
like popping bubbles sound
Yeah
the bubble wrap switch
Holy Case Ping
the backspace wtf
His leaf springs gotta be loose
the case is not it
can't find the clip for frog mini
sounds alot better
Guys what sounds better tofu60 foam or the foam the wooting comes with?
What's like the lowest profile case I can put my wooting 60he into?
The wooting foam is thicker but dosent fit in the case itās a little bit to small
So idk what is better
any foam?
Alumaze
Itās 4 degrees
No

L_ock
Has anyone tried the asceni stabs for his wooting?
If thatās what the case sounded like, nobody wouldāve bought it. That isnāt the case though.

maybe someting went wrong
Pretty impressive a block of alu sounded like a tin can
That video shocked me a bit ngl
Mine has only ever sounded like that when the leaf springs came loose
Pretty sure Tenturo and Tirade can attest to that too
Is the ping even like that when a leaf spring comes loose?
Well not really because that video sounded like the ping was consistent across the entire board
Also in terms of depth / height from the ground?
Whereas if a leaf spring comes loose, itāll usually be pingy on one side or the other
yeah exactly
Yeah the alumaze is pretty sleek
Has swappable feet too
So can go from 4 degree to 7.5
be based, use no case. just the pad that comes with the module.
0 degree typing angle >>>>>
What's the stock case's spec?
this how mine sounded tbh
it's why i did not use it for my 60he anymore lol
get frog mini better
I know tirades did but it was a loose spring
Yeah frog is noice

It was the best case for 60he
we had a soundtest with jade
Definitely
but went MIA
Damn
but I gave up as it still doesn't sound close to mx and just using a freebird60 now
nah
where the unikorn at?
Don't remind me
what caps ?

-$1000
Did you have a pink or black one I canāt recall
Yoink! mine now

Theyāre nice man, I like em
I'm slowly started to get interested now
^^^^
Not a proper one beside the one on stream
dam could of put 60he on r1 korn
Iāll do a proper one when Iām home
yeah but 60he in korn would still be bad

and then you would have had to dremel
actually it probs won't go well oring
someone basically did it here but they made a custom case
trying to find the thread

2 peeps
Discord search lmao
And my spacebar sounds echoey on stream
I got a new audio interface and I had forgot to set it up before stream
So the audio isnāt the best
I found Tommy
oh that
Oo whatchu get
New 4th gen Scarlett
@harsh dove Listening to you sound comparison for the lavenders it sounds like the jades have more āairā when pressed if that makes sense.
I could see that
Magnetic Switches manufactured by Grain Gold:
GEONās Raptor HE
Latenpowās Magnetic White/Strawberry (reversed polarity)
Latenpowās Magnetic Strawberry V2 (reversed polarity, box stem)
Hejinās Magnetic Teal/Yellow
Hejinās Black Knight (box stem)
Hejinās Rice (closed bottom, box stem)
Neoās Lavender Magnetic (closed bottom)
GEONās Raw HE (semi-closed bottom)
I feel like I forgot one.
You did
Yeah you forgot the one
Guys what sounds better in a tofu60 redux the foam the redux comes with or the default wooting foam
I'm using the foam of the redux. I like it tho
it fits good in the case too
But I have the acrylic version. So it's not metal
Yea I did notice the wooting foam is smaller but the wooting foam is thicker
Yea that is true
I mean, why not try both and compare. Not a big deal to swap between the foam
True
im running into clearance issues with the durock v2 screw ins and im using the pc plate
any way to solve it?
Wait dont you mean GUGU Black Knight Magnetic
Need them gugu switches
Buy some and test them out for us. I can already tell you how they sound though but at least you'll get a box stem
Lmao
Not sure if GUGU is the ābrandā even, saw another listing as Axel by Hejin or something.
Box stem FTW
Already ordered
They donāt look very promising though
use tx
better
Gonna sound like a plastic cup
I had some sent to me 2 weeks ago but wasnt allowed to take pics.
Tx can have some tolerance issues with the wooting pc plate tbh
yeah
i read that too
was about to say
I personally havenāt had issues but I know they exist
so what kinda stabs do i go for then
Swagkeys knights
if my durocks can barely fit
Now you can right?
and when they do fit they get compressed and dont move right
Durock should fit no problem tho
What are these knight stabs I keep seeing?
Yes
These are the best stabs at this price point. It uses new silicon mold technology to reduce any ticking. Comes with both spacebar wires and has 5 sets of housings+stems. A better durock stabilizer at lesser cost.Ā Each pack includes: 6.25 wire x1 7u wire x1 2u wire x4 Stems x10 Housings x10 Washer and screws x10 Stabil
Now I dont have them. Was sent to me to test
Nah, durocks same width as APs
then gg
U did
Durocks fit fine
ik alu can use tx
Did I measure the durocks? Lmao I donāt remember
Theyāre the same width as APs.
i gotta push the plate in really hard for it to fit
Yeah
won't pc be same as alu in terms of tolerance ?
Oh okay
and that ends up pushing on the housing and results in the stems rubbing against the housing and inconsistencies
im also using the jades so will those stabs fit them the knights
Dont know what to say, Ive never had a Durock not fit and I havent seen mass reportings or tickets come in of them not fitting.
If itās the standard cherry spec cutouts then yeah @cyan zodiac but the pc has more flex which can cause the stabs to bind if itās too tight
they didnt fit properly on both the alu plate and pc plate
Durocks are the same width as TX APs, 6.80-6.85, Cherry spec is 6.65.
Yeah thatās odd, just like Tirade said tho, havenāt seen people say anything about durocks not fitting
Maybe its the version? I've only tested with v2's so my testing range is low
Yeah I just have V2ās aswell
Iām pretty width wasnāt changed
but again, if the plate material is flexible you can force them through.
he did
but it ends up pushing on the sides of the stabs
and stems end up rubbing on the sides of the stabs
Do the 45s sound quieter than the 60?
yes, thatās exactly the same as with staebies.
and APs.
yeah
its very annoying and incosistent
On paper, just not compatible. In practice, can be fine, can be not fine depending on plate material.
had issues with both idk
Yeah idk how I got mine to work , I noticed the pc plate pins bending where the stabs go but it never affected my stabs
SW Knights are much slimmer and fit through without force.
are they available in eu?
I got them from Delta Key thanks to Cam
Found an old pic of mine
With pc plate and tx ap
Those plastic pins bend inward
But I never had issues
Also, youāve selected long poles.
nah
yeah i got jades
i need long poles right?
Not necessarily
Are they out of stock on DeltaKey? Prob cheaper shipping if not.
Depends on the keycaps youāre using/going to use.
š
How much is it from swagkeys themselves
can be fine, can be not. Itās just at the verge of being not so usable I think.
Yeah definitely
Which is why Iād advise against them
Even tho theyāre great stabs
I have seen a lot worse
Yeah
i got these
Are they easy to take off/loose?
I think non long poles will be fine, but if you donāt plan on changing your switches anytime soon just get long pole.
š
yeah nah im fine with the jades
i had the raptors
but ended up not liking them
cause of the open bottom
yeah, then just get long poles
Specs: Silicone material Diameter 4.8mm, height 3.5mm, screw hole 2mm, thickness 0.5mm Sold as one package contains 6 covers It is used on the standoff of mostĀ tray mountĀ metal cases.Ā Function:Ā Ā Anti-static, anti-short circuit, noise reduction Compatibility One pack (6 covers): Tofu60, Tofu65, A60, GH60 aluminum case
anyone know where to get these from?
Better pull that plate up son
thing with long poles is that if you change your switches to 4mm travel ones, your stabilized switches will still be long pole yk?
use plate fork
yeah
but then i still got the durocks
or i will just buy new ones idk
G2 playing well as a team. G2 vs Faze, exciting next stage. Was actually rooting for G2 against Mouz because Stewie2k filling in for Hooksie this tournament. @stray tiger
Stewie only NA person still alive in tournament now I believe.
so the SW Knight stabs are 100% free of clearance issues?
Yeah, they eliminated TL last night. Was a good match
Are the L45 generally an upgrade?
Upgrade from what?
L60
Do you prfer 45 gram spring weight or 60 gram?
None have been reported and as long as youāre using standard cherry spec stab cutouts for your plates then should be fine
i have the wooting pc black plate
Will be fine then
So L60 are kind of like mx browns, a little heavier and L45 are like mx red?
Cant answer that for you. Basically if you prefer a heavier press stick with L60's, if you prefer a lighter one go with L45's
Are these the clip ins are screw ins
Uff hard to tell, I owned mx browns and MX red / silent and could not really tell what I prefer since browns had the tactile bump
Great match indeed
I would say theyāre ran upgrade in feel, potentially. But same switch except for spring.
Theyāre very light and free, as a switch.
But there's a reason Wooting ships it with L60s and not L45?
I guess then the L60 are probably better for typing and gaming like browns and reds like L45 only for gaming mainly
I mean maybe but itās pretty much just all preference.
Yes and no, there must be something that's generally more versatile
I think eventually theyāve talked about being able to choose. But idk
Lighter is easier. Idk what you mean I guess. Iām not interested in getting that deep in it.
I guess can't compare it with a brown which is 55 anyways
I believe those were my screw ins
So I guess it's like an MX black
I was planning on getting tx clip ins to do o ring mount
what weight are the lavenders? same as jades?
They are 52g
thanks
Idk if clip-ins will be much better than screw-ins for friction/o-ring mount
I got plate mount for mine.
I saw the the screw ins interfere with normal o rings
you need a thinner one i think for it to work
The screw in and clip ins appear to have same housing
I have both the small and medium o-ring
Idk you can prob definitely get it to work
But I have clip-ins and I bought the plate mount cuz the module screw-ins werenāt really compatible enough with my attempted configuration
I havenāt yet tried the clip-ins or the plate mount ones tho TBH
just using the screw-ins without a key in backspace

Are the swagkeys stabs much better than def screw ins on the module
The with the key on it it gets stuck down lol
O-ring interfering with stab
But the switch itself works just fine
Lolz
wait so should i have gotten long pole stabs for my jades or no
Ur good
is the jade 70 pack factory lubed?
Yes
š
Stock module screw ins are great
Donāt need swagkeys unless you need new stabs or just wanna try something different but the end result is pretty similar
Alr I prob will try small orings
Shiiii
Gonna buy a Glorious Ice mouse pad so I can use while I have my zowie mousepad washed
Returned mine, wasn't worth coming from a GPX2 but the Razer Viper V3 Pro is a really good mouse šš
For those curious
100% White RGB with Neo Lavenders
Will look purple because of the top housing
So only the top housing affects the lighting?
Not only but yeah it does play a big part
Is it better to leave gmk caps on switches in stock or flipped when it comes to RGB?
Good to know
I won't be upgrading to any mices, but I'd say it's def worth tryin out
Maybe one day I will take a look at it
Buy and return
Like my dad always do
Lel
Lol
Only gaming mice I use is the hyperx pulsefire haste (1 wired and 2 wireless )
Well I was reading all about the 8k, all the new mice, lighter weight, new sensors and how much better they are but when testing it, the difference in performance wasn't with for me upgrading
To me, the improvements from 1k upwards are subtle at the cost of CPU load
You gotta try the viper v3 pro lol it's the best mouse out there
Are the keycaps white or purple on the bottom?
White, legends are white
It is but coming from a GPX2, it's subtle
Only ones not white are modifiers and spacebar
Pretty significant color change for how little the top housings were tinted then
GMK customer "why isn't my spacebar double shot š"
Is pbtfans good I heard it was the best pbt stuff but now I'm hearing the legends suck
You want your spacebar to say spacebar on it?
Thought so from your stream yesterday, it prob has an effect on the color
Oh definitely
Just returned a set, great quality, thick caps and horrendous legends
Iāll be swapping to Alu plate today most likely so I can show RGB with no keycaps
Why do people have a tendency to always count up 3 things?
And why does GMK have 3 letters
Tempted
āOmne trium perfectumā
"Pater, filius, et spiritus sancti"
Ancient Greek philosopher Pythagoras thought that numbers had deeper significance and that the number 3 was considered as the perfect number, the number of harmony, wisdom and understanding.
But yeah, just noticed again the counting up of 3 things hehe
Haha
And how everybody does that
It's probably the most obscure thing people pass on from one generation to the next for thousands of years
Yeah, number 3 goes back pretty far into history
Perfectly splendid
Nice š
just posted a vid, lubed the ws dash
@stray tiger you gotta stream more man it was fun watching you stream on twitch the other day
@errant oar link?
That's the plan. Hope to be launching the channel officially soon. Stay tuned
in general chat
Itās an actual psychological phenomenon called the ārule of three.ā Look it up. Itās real. Itās why marketing slogans are three words. āIām loving itā. āFresh, never frozenā.
Yeah rule of thirds
Thereās a lot of reasons itās used
Also applies to photography
Itās a pretty big thing. In christianity too - the father, the son, the holy spirit.
Yeah
also humans love looking for patterns
Just opened this, found out this picks up sweat and oil pretty easily if I'm looking at it correctly. Guess I gotta buy a sleeve lol
there are a lot of 3 word slogans but I can think of many 2 or 4 word slogans as well
Not at all from what I've seen
Nice
Pairs frikin awesome with artisan mouse pads
Nice, yeah I got a couple artisans
the coating on the white/black models is very different from what I've heard
Using the GPX2 currently
Donāt really care to get the viper, I know itās good tho
I got superglides on my gpx
not a fan of glass skates, they slow down real quick and wear down mousepads faster
especially v1 superglides v2 last a lot longer
Which ones
If you have ninja fx zero soft that one feels like it's made for the v3 pro
I wanna get the Otsu v2 when it releases, although I've heard it's not much different from the original
was also gonna get the new shidenkai but they're redoing all their speedpads to be better
Uh lemme double check lol
I have the Hayate Otsu Mid XL and the Hayate Kou Mid XL
Kou is one of their newer ones
Tbh not a fan I feel like there are better surfaces if you want a hybrid pad like the gr sr se
Not really a fan of how zowie pads look tbh
And Iām a shill for Japanese made products
artisan is very nice, from the unboxing to the quality of the stitched edging
Yeah
You can notice the quality soon as you touch it
But yeah different strokes for different folks, thereās tons of pads to choose from, Iām happy with my pads
Veni Vidi Vici
If I ever go back to cloth it'll be my artisan zero or a new artisan pad
But glass pad supremacy all the way
the LGG pads are very nice too
Just about anything made in Japan is like 15x better 𤣠but for me it's artisan zero supremacy
Zero so slow for me
yeah I'm using my Saturn Pro over my zero because I can't get all the hairs out of my zero so it perma looks scuffed
how long have you had it mine only happened over like 2 years of use
Around 3 years I think almost
2.5 maybe
Also haven't used it for the last year mainly
Just here and there
i don't have pets either but my arms are pretty hairy
Glass pad supremacy šŖšŖ
hell na unusable without a sleeve in humidity
Mine screams til I let him in lol. The little criminal
Just wear a hoodie
lol I used to put my artisan pads (specifically) in the closet in their boxes when I wasnāt home so my pets would walk all over them and so dust wouldnāt fall onto them while Iām not home
im just gonna wear a hoodie in summer hell na
/long sleeve shirt
Inside I don't have issues
I also used to have an AC unit in my room
So my room was like 16c usually
also it's just way too fast for the games i play
damn you like your room cold
put me at 21-22c I'm good
Your prolly using a heavy mouse with a light mouse it's much better and you can always boost your sens & dpi
Bro tracking must be such a pain
And yes I play tac fps with it too
Your sens is prolly super low
Try getting a zero and boosting your sens
what's that in edpi
That's fairly fast for most games
Idk edpi stinks
so much easier to calculate
yo I need to get this
Edpi is like your dpis ratio to in game sens
I think he knows what it is, heās just asking what 25cm/360 was in that calculation
Cm/360 is far more universal
So if you have 400 edpi and sm1 else has 400 edpi with same mouse and pad same glideage even if your sens and dpi are different
yeah it doesn't work across games like cm/360 but who cares when you just play cs anyway
I don't just play cs, as do most people I talk to about sens
yeah I know how to calculate edpi need a formula for cm/360
I'll find a conversion rq for cs
here's mine
yeah any other game aside from tacfps i'm playing 1600 mainly
For cs it's usually around 1500-1700
Even tac fps I main high sens
It just feels way better
But also the only tac fps I play lately is r6 so it's not as unforgiving with high sens
Yeah I use 1600 on everything tbh
I also donāt play any tacfps
Mine varies a lot depending on how good my wrists feel/how good my mouse control is at the time
Fair
It's basically never below 1600
bout to be playing like woxic https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X8zvifx67iU

I think I read/watched somewhere that changing your sens can actually be good
It is
Instead of staying stagnant all the time
Muscle memory isn't really a part of aiming but last time we had this discussion I was flamed
My eDPI is roughly 600 at 70cm/27.27inch 360
"we" as in this discord not calling you guys out lol
changing anything makes your brain think more to adapt to the change, even changing your crosshair can do the same thing though
Yeah I think in the video I watched, they debunked muscle memory
Would have to double check
Changing sens a bunch and drastically is very good for improving mouse control
Yeah multiple aim groups and aimlabs research team themselves have done studies on it
Since my eDPI is between 600 and 650, depending on my mood, it's hard to do the 1600 sensor DPI and then bring it down ingame for high polling rates above 1k
And from anecdotal evidence from me, muscle memory does not effect aiming
I used to main 4k dpi before I realized polling past 2k was pointless
Yeah polling past 2k is pointless
those are two different things
Higher dpi helps properly saturate the polling rate
it does but the difference is minimal above 1600 dpi
I usually just match them as it makes it more consistent (in my testing and experience)
Ofc yes
But for effective 2k polling you need to set your mouse's dpi to at least 1200
But 3200/4000 dpi does make 4k polling more stable (not noticeable unless it's VERY unstable)
Yeah, it was a great video tbh
Yeah once I broke the muscle memory thought and started changing my sens by just how I felt at the time I improved rapidly very fast
It felt far more natural
Instead of being confined to this is my sens I cannot change it I will be bad
You can always develop muscle memory for different sensitivities, mine are practiced for 1200, 800 and 600 to 650 dpi
That's not how it works though it's a different motor function
It's motor memory which is more of a brain thing

Huge thank you to the guys at NVIDIA, Ben Boudaoud, Josef Spjut, & Joohwan Kim. They were a big help, super big thanks to Ben as well for hel...
@marsh saffron
Was this
Had to find it lol
With at least 240hz monitor
I would agree at 144hz refresh
idk on my 240hz i simple couldnt notice a difference between 2k and 4k
Yeah exactly
Itās pretty minuscule
Itās not big
Yeah
yeah there are much more important factors for sure
for me i just cant notice it
maybe if i had 360hz i could but on 240 i just cant
Yeah fair enough
Kinda have to train yourself to notice tbh
Itās far from mandatory lol
Same thing with frame rates
But more than pointless
I'm using a 360 Hz Monitor and the biggest wow moment was more the Wooting than anything beyond 1k
if you are on windows, polling rate isnt really an effective way of minimizing latency

Well keyboard scanning and mouse scanning are not the same
Mines in my closet lol
that keyboard used to feel fast to me
Yeah idk what that means. Maybe it means the Wooting was a bigger upgrade than 1k-2k mouse polling
Idk
i think they mean it was a far more noticeable upgrade
Right
Yes, the improvement of going on mice 1k upwards is ever so slightly
Yeah between 2k - 4K is good for almost everyone
i use my beastx mini in 2k at 1600 dpi
Yeah same
2k 1600dpi
175hz OLED
Waiting for 240hz OLED but not a configuration I want yet
ive got xg2431
Nice
I ended up getting a good deal on a XL2566K
Should be released in 2025
All set until that 27ā 480hz OLED comes out maybe
eventually ill go 240hz 1440p oled, but im far too broke for both the monitor and the upgrade my pc would need
Fair enough
2k gives like a nice noticable a little bit better accuracy but beyond that it's really negligible, sure I can feel it but it's the same going from 240 to 360 Hz, don't really need 360 even though I can tell the difference
But that's just my perception
Yeah weāre all different and perceive differently
the only time i notice 2k->4k is that my mouse cursor looks smoother
i literally notice no other difference
lol
Thereās a cool study on how much FPS the human eye can see by BlurBusters
I'd assume that works till 1000 Hz
To tell the difference
Ah wow, that's crazy
Yeah thereās so many misconceptions about this stuff
Yeah it literally depends on person to person
"the human eye can only see 32fps š¤ "
Yeah lol
Also depends on if your eyes are staring at something static or tracking something
Pretty cool stuff
id imagine tracking something is better?
But some things are negligible, it's really hard to keep up 360 fps in games as well as working with 8k and the necessary DPI and for both the improvements are rather subtle
I donāt recall what they said exactly but they have a test you can do yourself here
Yup but to reliably tell it at higher refresh rates beyond 500 is already going to be really hard
I feel like as long as I get 160 Hz / FPS at least, preferably 240 at times it's fine, don't like to lower everything in the game so that it looks like poop
I won't willingly go back to 144/165
I have a friend for example who has a very low budget setup, he plays Hunt: Showdown with me while he plays at 30 to 60 fps and does such sick flickshots and general plays
But it's not like I can't play perfectly fine on it
There's people in the aimlabs discord with top 5 runs on 60hz
Yeah I think it's mostly comfort than skill improvement
Yup, I just mean, look at where we are right now, people chasing these insane specs
It's marketing from manufacturers and YouTubers that let's people chase upgrades for even the subtlest improvements
And you're gonna think you need that
To be completive
I'm all for it because it's awesome, but it's certainly not needed to become even one of the best players in the world
Yup, not against it, we all do it, it's an expensive hobby but lot of people believe they need it
I don't think it makes me play better but it looks nicer
even playing stuff like minecraft with a high hz screen and you just think damn this smooth
But I think, the whole HE and rapid trigger thing to me was a big jump for the past decade or longer I'd say
Compared to let's say going from 120 to 240 Hz
This tbh, I donāt buy it with the hopes to become a better player, I think thatās all BS anyway, it helps sure, but you yourself have to become better, not just the equipment youāre using. Thatās like giving a novice swordsman the best and sharpest sword in the world, doesnāt mean he will perform well with it.
I just buy it cause I like the technology and itās cool
I love having better tech because I just like it, and it makes the experience more enjoyable
Yep
Fully agree, just talking about younger gamers who think they need it and wasting money on upgrades that are unnecessary
All gear no idea as they say
Trillion tons š„²
I like seeing new tech
New tech is fun
And supporting it with my wallet to push it further
Plus Iām a tinkerer so Iām always taking stuff apart and learning more about it
Same
Engineering is fun
Indeed
Yeah like on a budget setup you can game just fine on a viper 8khz and a half decent mouse pad of any kind
Upgrades are mostly qol
Lol
Don't think it can be pushed much further, with mice technology we're already beating a dead horse I feel, something completely new or more significant change would have to come
Ftip mice go crazy
15g shelled mouse in the works
Or was it 12g
I forgot
Bigsly
Something futuristic like a silicone pad with a trigger based on deformation at the sensor would be the next step or an object you push stationary with incredible sensitivity which doesn't require you to wipe your desk like a cleaner
A new sensor that's incredibly accurate with less movement and more precision, magnet based hehe
Something that eliminates the scan of a surface would make all these fancy mousepads obsolete
sensors we have now are plenty accurate
it's hunting for that perfect shape
I'm down the mouse rabbithole too far already, I'm trying to find that perfect mech switch
But imagine something that measures distance not based on a scanned surface but the reading of an objects disposition
I don't see how that would be any more accurate then how the sensors work now
Well just like HE
Measured displaced electrons
Would be far more accurate than any optical mouse
In theory
Really loving the color of these lavenders
It's only 160, 27.2 grams
Lol, make it lighter
I think Iām good
Need to make it a little heavier actually. Add reinforcements for clicks
Got another one being made up. Need to cater to grip lil bit more
I think my mom said I could borrow them
Oh word
It's only 160, 27.2 grams
G-Wolves HSK Pro 4K
They should've named it G-Wolves JustTheTip
When mice will be so light
You'll break them after coming back from the gym
Like 12 gram mice
Looking hella sexy
But yeah looking forward to Wooting's HE mouse š
but first they need to figure out how to make HE tactile/clickies switches

Not sure an HE mouse would really benefit
I'd actually be more exited if they figured out a sensor that works based on that tech but that might be beyond their skillset lol
you can make it click it just won't move when you adjust the actuation which makes it pretty pointless imo
Exactly
but someone made a clicky HE
what's the point HE is good for analog the current sensors we have are much better at what they do
- you would either need magnets built into the mousepad or a metal base built into each mousepad, it's just a bad idea all around
Reupload cause that photo too vibrant for me lol
Full board sound test?
Sounds terrible
You donāt wanna hear it
Iām in the middle of swapping to Alu plate
Hopefully it sounds good
Otherwise back to POM
o
if i send an email in I should be able to get a 60he pc plate added to my 80he order right
Iād just order them separately tbh
Not necessarily, just needs a good idea
I'd assume they cancel it and you order it again, since they can't do much at the warehouse besides people like keycap vendors who actually ship stuff themselves
yesssirrrr
Thanks brother
Am satisfied
just feels bad paying like $34 USD to get a PC plate
My brother from another mother
Big bro!
It's ok I think, I've spent worse on accessories
The shipping costs are more painful
it's $20 without the shipping cost
See š
trust me I know all about shipping costs
Haha, me too but from the US to the EU, other way around
