So I just ordered a 60HE+, getting it Monday.

I’m thinking of modding it if I really like it but considering I bought a full keyboard instead of just a module the price is starting to feel a bit… intimidating.

I’m thinking it might be worth reselling my Wooting, I can get MSRP for it very easily where I live and ordering the module and parts to then build a keyboard.

This is what I’ve come up with, looking for validation if it’s worth, any comments, better prices, mods I should do etc etc.

I know I’m asking for a lot but the help would be greatly appreciated, want this to be my end game keyboard :) <3

Not much you can do tbh, just use poron instead of silicone with the PC plate and some solid PBT keycaps and it's as close as you are gonna get.

on the issue of pbt+abs im gonna assume that means that either 1) the two different colors of keycaps and different materials or 2) the outside is pbt while the inside is abs (cause it double shot) or vice versa

Ive had all the cases except the frog mini. I did like the alumaze a lot, but hard to beat the salvation. I was using gummy oring mount in the alumaze.

The height of the tofu and memanisk are not for me.

The low profile of the alumaze is really good.

Im not the best one to ask for sound, as I just care about feel for gaming haha and the salvation has a nice non fatiguing feel. Both sounded great to me though. Orings you can get from graveshift. You will need the small size. I used 40a hardness in the alumaze and its still a little tight.

Search in here though and people have talked all about it. Best way to take it back out of the case and what not

I tried that the shifting of the O rings were to much when i inserted my PCB into the tofu case

I pre placed it on the stand off's on all 5 posts

Then when u shift to adjust it MOVES entirely thats why i recommended running that method so its easier and it won't get too far off

For anyone wondering, you can add Swagkeys Knight Stabilizers to the list of unproblematic stab upgrade options. Pivoted to them after starting with TX AP stabs almost a month ago.

Some wobble with my Jades, nothing too horrible. Threw Geon stem spacers on and was good to go.

Figured I'd put that out there, since as far as I know I'm the only person that's used them with the module.

It’s by design that they unfortunately can’t change until they move to only screw in stabs in the future. The holes have to be the size they are now due to supporting plate mount stabs as well

Dashes are solid, same exact thing as Gateron Jades , just a different stem color

If you’re in a rush and need switches, those are fine, otherwise I’d wait for more to come out

OEM is undoubtedly heavier than Cherry, they are bigger. Those amounts may seem innocuous until youre working with a wobbly stem and a 0.1'mm actuation

1.3 to 1.0g

When youre talking a 0.1mm actuation, with wobbly stems, and .3g heavier OEM keycaps there is a lot of error

By no means is 0.3g a massive difference, unless youre pushing the limits and need perfect accuracy at 0.1mm actuation

Springs are 60g stock, a .3g weight isn't going to do anything.

If people can use cerakeys with 60g springs, then it's not going to be noticeable with plastic.

Okay, for me its less about the weight and more the height with the OEM, the Wobbly stems were the problem with the 0.1mm actuation. The two combined made accurate 0.1mm impossible

In a 40 man moving end zone battle royal in unreal im pressing keys constantly and doing incredibly fast edits, i preferred the 0.1mm actuation for additional speed but needed to ensure accuracy and no accidental presses

I totally get that you prefer the height of Cherry keycaps to OEM (I do as well), but you having accuracy issues at .1mm with one profile vs another isn't a Wooting problem or a keycap problem.

Hence the 2.0 switches with a dual rail

If there was no problem, there would no lekker 2.0 necessary

The V2s won’t match stem swapped raptors, 20Us don’t either. It is true that the less stem wobble, the more accurate it can be which is unique to HE boards. I personally haven’t experienced keys actuating accidentally when resting my fingers but more so when fatfingering. 😅
