All I'm saying is that with the currently limited switch options (which are the biggest contributor to sound) you don't have the luxury of picking a specific sound profile. You really have 2 choices and neither are clacky or thocky.

I have more HE switches than anyone else in this server most likely and while yes Jades do have a bottom out sound that lends it to sound more clacky than other HE switches, it's not a clacky switch. KS20U's sound the same as Lekkers, in fact they are the same, with just a little less stem wobble. They are not a thocky switch.

The polarity is reversed and while there is beta firmware available to try and support reverse polarity switches, there havent been any that work without issue yet.

the loudness comes from the closed bottom (magnet hitting the bottom) so any open bottom switches should do just fine like the raptors but keep in mind if you use rgb the raptors are red switches so its gonna make everything look a lil dimmer and more to the red side of things

also did you check out the sticky rice switches maybe thats something you would like (has great rgb diffusing and sounds okay )

There really isnt any necessary rule to how many layers of tape you could use, but proof being done, the maxed out effect from the tempest mod tends to add up to 3-4 layers, after 3-4 layers there isn't really any noticable difference.
