hey, im new here and im planning to buy a 60HE+ and mod it. So i have couple questions... im planning to go with Cerakey keycap set and everglide sticky rice he switches, but the problem is what kind of springs is recommended with ceramic keycaps since they are heavy? The original Sticky Rice actuation force is 40g and the bottom out force is 50g straight out of the box

Many of us here with multiple modded 60hes will tell you the stock stabs are more than good enough.

Stab swaps don't really accomplish anything. Just need to lube and tune the stabs you got.

Here is what im getting and what I have to upgrade the 60he, I bought, tofue 60 redux, wooting lube set, and wooting set with the painters brush, ect. I also bought o rings for burger mount, gpl 105 keyboard lube, a stem holder, and i also got foam liner for inner keyboard. and I will be doing a tape mod. Is there anything else that I should get to make it sound the best? @pastel vigil

It's all preference, there is no set guideline on how to make it sound best.

Feel is just as important as sound, too.

Yeah so jades are roughly 30gf - 50gf and L60s are 40gf - 60gf

In theory, you be with someone as they record a sound test, and it will sound different to what you heard in person. Then you can take that exact board to your house, and it will sound different than what it osunded like at the owners house. There's just waaaay too many factors, sound tests are not really informative in the way people think they are.

Brass absorbs the vibrations better than alu (hence why many custoim keyboards have big heavy weight inside them), so it deepens the sound a littel. But the puny littel weight available of the redux wont do much in that affect.

Yes i did but tapping on the case and typing on a keyboard are different thing. The difference will get less and less once you add stuff like sound dampening and burger mount, essentially isolating the Typing assembly from the case.
What the video is showing off is more like the difference in case ping. Airborn Vibrations (sounds that come off you pcb assemlby) will not be impacted as much by a small weight (like the one used in the redux)
I never said that it would't make a difference, just not a huge one.

Sticky Rice is meh in terms of sound from what I’ve heard so far, further testing will be done soon by Tirade.
They could possibly still have sensor issues as well.

So def try the dual rails if you got the funds

You’ll probably notice like the rest of us who have tested that they’re basically just lekkers with more stability

yes you will have to sand the pc plate

you will have to first figure out which direction you need to sand, and how much you sand.
to do this, first assemble the stabilizers, switches, and keycaps
and then use tools to reach and push around the stablizer housing until stablizer goes down smoothly

you can attach layers of tape on the side of the stabilizer to fill in the space

but i recommend going slow and doing multiple tests between sanding to avoid having to do this fix

Is this confirmed? I ask because Sanders mentioned early on the 80HE would also be gummy mount capable and I assumed you would need to remove the plate dampening to do that (this information could no longer be valid but it was mentioned on stream)

It is not confirmed, this is just based on my assumption after watching the recent video because he had it separate from the PCB and it basically looks like a modified silicone pad for gasket mounting. But based on its design, it appeared to be required for the gasket mount. (In my eyes)

Yeah anytime something like that happens with tech, check all cables/ports and other hardware. Do a reset. Check drivers/updates and what not
