can you link it?
Sure
Specs Case: Anodized Aluminum, E-coating Aluminum or Acrylic Weight bar: Brass, surface sandblasted process Structure: Tray-mount Compatible with most 60% PCB, including DZ60 rev3.0/DZ60 RGB-ANSI/DZ60RGB V2/GH60/Wooting 60HE PCB, etc. As seen in our video in the photo gallery! Weight: Aluminum case approximately 0.8 kg
The one that says gatreon Magnetic orange linear switch
BTW the best plate ks20u is fr4 right or polycarb?
they arent the ks20u
this is what kbdfans is offering
this is the ks20u
i dont know all the difference but the ks20u has a white bottom with dual rails i believe
you can decrease the key sensitivity for a typing profile. definitely recommend it if you tend to rest your fingers on your keys while typing
I tend to rest my fingers on keys while playing âWASDâ
Noticed I was moving forward when not wanting to
lol
So Iâm trying all different actuation points
i just forced myself to get used to not pressing at all while i rest on wasd
after a week or two i was able to use 0.1 actuation and still rest on wasd without accidental inputs
hey can i get some help with buying keyboard parts for 60he module
buy module, case, switches and keycaps
I just do .2mm since .1mm is annoying for a lot of games
anyone know of any poly cases preferably with a brass weight that support wooting 60?
Poly?
poly carbonate
Tofu Acrylic is the closest I can think off
you sure thats it ?
what else?
idk lol
Sorry for interrupting, what kind of mounting system are you guys using for your boards?
thats all you need haha
regular tray mount
I'm torn between burger and o-ring
gummy mount imo
just as a disclaimer, gummy o-ring will not give you a bouncy typing feel
try both
True
its kinda annoying disassembling a gummy o-ring too
whats the proper way to take out your plate and pcb in gummy o-ring?
maybe im just doing it wrong
anyone play valorant?
imo the best way is to take a switch puller and pull on the plate in-between the 4 keys on each side of the spacebar (super and L alt, r alt and menu).
Do u get accidental presses on 0.2mm
i dont on 0.1
I thought people used like 0.6
No
i use 0.2
But I have 52g springs
I ordered L45
on l60s i dont get accidental inputs on 0.1
Yea its just nicer on .2mm for me
What type of gummy ring are you rocking
I use a switch puller and grab the little circle to the right of the space bar. That way you don't risk bending or breaking a switch cut out
Indeed, it naturally doesn't give you a bouncy typing feel, but you can make it happen
Personally, when I was using plate foam with gummy mount I had a hard time getting it in and out, but at the time i just took out 2 switches from the bottom row like windows key and right ctrl, and pulled up both sides with my thumb
this was with PC plate ofc, like Pops said, dont wanna risk bending or breaking a switch cut out, even worst, the plate
So I run with no plate foam at all, prefer the sound and how much easier it is to take in and out
sounds like a keyboard to me
I think you should use that yeti to record instead of your phone
Or whatever mic that is
you guys think there's a chance jade switches will ever get dual rail version?
not impossible
maybe like a recolor
dug through the net and all and figured jades have slight wobble and think i can be patient enough, kinda want their bottom out aspects without having to deal with wobble and buying them twice đ
there isnt a switch with 0% wobble
i bet
yeah i agree
the jades have significantly less wobble
realistically dual rail vs no dual rail doesn't matter
some of the tightest switches right now don't have dual rail at all
if you want even tighter than current jades i'm not sure you're going to find much beyond maybe buying raptors and stem swapping lekkers where it's actually that fraction too tight
are you using jades right now already and find them not tight enough?
nah I am considering getting them
oh then just buy them if wobble is your worry. Jades aren't wobbly at all
just read that they have slightly more wobble over raptors I think?
nah that's not true at all
but seems like they're fine after all
i have both. Jades are far tighter
raptors are only tighter if you do the stem swap thing but then it's actually too tight and there's a slight artificial tight feel when you push down
well it's more that jades are already tight enough
i can't imagine wanting them tighter, they're already good
once you go past a certain point then you're just creating a switch that's going to feel 'stuck' sometimes like a raptors with stem swap
jades it is then, do you maybe have ks-20us too and/or know how they compare in this aspect?
nah don't have ks20u, but they're fairly similar from all reports of stem tightness
gotcha
mainly just have to decide if you want 3.5mm travel + sharper sound vs ks20u sound and 4mm travel
yeah i love shorter travel switches
the jades are probably the best HE switch out rn
the stock spring is a little light so i spring swapped it
do the switch pads included with aftermarket plates effect pretravel like they say they will?
cuz ive seen a few people in here with switch pads on their mod list, but also people saying it doesnt work..
so im a bit confused
Should it be possible to make my wooting sound good with the stock case and PC plate and lube
And with good I mean without rattle
And thocky
Becouse friends of mine told me it was almost impossible

Hey everyone, just looking for a little clarification on the 60HE PC ISO plate. I just wanted to check I've understood correctly before ordering that the standoff in-between enter and backspace is in a different position on the newer ISO 60HE+ plate/PCB vs the older ISO HE60 PCB? Are the standoffs moulded in to the PC plate or are they screwed in separately?
What do you have currently?
A 60HE? A 60HE Module? A 60HE+?
Hey which foam should I use? The stock silicone or the poron?
But which one sounds better
(but seriously, no one has demos comparing the two, and I'm too tired to unscrew everything again lol
Was shoed away from tech talk, not a wooting product but figured Iâd ask donât want to be castrated.
Anyone know if Boog 75 module fits in other cases besides zoom 75? Canât find a list like there is for 60HE compatibility. Milky Green is a little too neon green for me.
Want an olive color case that will work for an HE board. Trying To finish a 3 keyboard collection for these keycaps, 80HE is the 2nd one and is going to be my black case.
My 60HE is an ISO one from the first batch that moved over to the ARM chip on the PCB at the end of 2022
No holes in the PCB for stabs, plate mount only on my board
Then this bit is for you. Basically the standoff near the enter/backspace cannot be screwed in, and will flex slightly.
Personally I never noticed this being an issue through months of testing.
Yeah I read that part. Itâs just a bit ambiguous if it will fit at all and I wanted to check đ
So the PC plate wil fit in the 60he+
And should it be possible to make the lekkers Less rattle and the stabelizers to and make them a bit deeper
Not possible
PC plate will fit but won't change the function of your switches or stabs
So lube does the job?
Bc I can get mods for about 80 euro and then I can still get the 3080
mounting differences mean you won't find compatible cases for the most part
it's a unique situation with 60% cases where a ton of them are tray mount with same mounting setup. with 75%/80%/full size etc the mounting is different so case swapping isn't really a thing outside of niche scenarios
Cool thanks Iâll reach out to the producing company ask if they have plans for more colors in the future then and hold off.
For wooting imo poron because it makes the weird magnet sound more subtle where silicone makes it less subtle @frigid lodge
BTW for ks20u is polycarbonate better or fr4
isn't that preference?
i don't mean to sound like a jerk
if only this artisan was a keycap set; the Holy60 compressed https://shop.atelieraxiom.com/products/rk-01-blanc
damn boi that look so good
pretty neatttt

Somehow you picked the one color of like 30 they donât have
ah
Well even then for the HE module you can only use case with no knob or screen
where did you find this
You can check out the sound test i did
thank you so much for this what a blessing
product link is above the pic
"if i remember correctly"
thank you
I mean you could but why? The stock foam pretty dense and feels up the case
Yeah, I just switched them, and I can tell haha
Also I dropped a screw down here, wish me luck finding it
As soon as I post about it, I find it lol
isa it okay to film the switches ? i ordered the raptor he switches im gonna use the lekker stems with the raptor switches i was curious if i could film the switches ?
Anything is ok, but filming them would be a waste of time and money
The v2 lekkers have super tight tolerances. So do the raptor switches I'm using
Oh, you have the V2âs already?
I ordered a Wooting 2 for my better half, and it comes with the v2s
no stem wobble, really
Interesting, last I checked the V2âs only come with the 80HE and then later on for the other wooting boards
Yeah, IDK. they seem like really nice switches now
I have a strong feeling those are v1s
weren't those really bad with wobble though?
Yeah
Yeah, these actually feel nice to use
I was thinking about trying out the yellow lekkers at some point when I have cash again
the perks for me didn't do anything lol
Me neither. Dont need a bigger keyboard
I have no use for free l45s
You didnât wanna try the new switches?
Revamped*
I mean I can just buy it anytime and will have those now too
but yeah a free pack of L45 was like well this will rot in a drawer or something lol
I was just about to say that lol
Hehe
gaslightin
@median spade think abt it like this, we are more financially responsible than him!
Theyâre free lol
If bought during founders campaign
I imagine the lekker v2 are just wahtever tolerances they made better on jades but open bottom
since the stem is the same
I mean thatâs what I imagine, which in a weird way makes me sad but I still wanna try them lol
Are switch filmS a must or a plus to sound
See the answer you were given before

good evening keyboard modding chat
Did you just assume my timezone?
Yeah what the heck man
It's mid afternoon!!
Well you were right, it's evening here
Bro? U okay it's just a question u know idk if 22 euro is worth spending on a switch film is it that hard to give a response in ur opinion
It's 5 oclock somewhere đ
Huh

Itâs not
switch films dont really do much on HE switches
We've just had those same 3 dudes lately asking the same questions for 2 weeks on end now lol
Okay thank u that's what I was looking for
I was going to say good afternoon but that just sounded off
Fair point
And damn u stept out of bed with the wrong foot
I can't tihnk of many times I've said good afternoon
This is the first time I'm going to mod a fucking keyboard and I have some questions and ? Is it that hard for u to say yes or no but no u go out of ur way and say See the answer that we given u before damn i just asked it to some more experienced people what there opinion was
i meant the 80he itself
Huh
wait what
Bud you need to take a deep breath and relax, nobody here is trying to cause trouble except yourself
^
Ive been replying to you a lot of the last week or two and there are no issues asking a ton of questions, I encourage it, but continuing to ask "Is it worth doing X?" "Is X better than Y" or "Should I spend the money for X?" are all questions that no one can answer for you. As Ive mentioned, what you like might not be what I like and what I hate may not be what you hate. I can't tell what you should do.
Also, a lot of the question you have asked are addressed in the FAQ, which has been linked for you a a few times already.
Q. Do I need to film my switches and which films do I need to buy?
A. Films are primarily used to fill the gap between the top and bottom switch housing and reduce "housing wobble" but the Lekker switches typically have very tight housings and most users do not experience an issue with wobble. There are currently no confirmed films designed for the Lekkerâs and while some users have been able to cut and modify films to fit the Lekker switches, the results have been mixed. The most common issue with currently available films is that they do not fit correctly around the Lekkers larger slider rails. This results in the films becoming âbowedâ or âwarpedâ and increases the potential for poor film installation.
I editted it 3 times for typos and still found some so I said screw it. I suck with mobile phone keyboards.
also did u ever try the salvation again?
i meant helping
steel plate?
spacebar wasw being weird too
did he try the 60he or an MX pcb?
It had 2 very loose leaf springs on the left side lol. When I removed the old PCB it must have really loosed them because I could twist them with my fingers
Ahhh thats what it was
Happens a lot on salvation for some reason
Mine does it periodically
i changed out all the screws on mine
never did that again
i would not go above carbon fiber for the salvation
FR4 is a good middle ground but the bottom row besides spacebar sucks imo
I mount mine with just the 2 top mounting points
i dont use the 2 on the sides
Yep. I took it apart and tightened them down really good. If it happens again I'll throw on some loctite. I went ahead and swapped the switches over to some lubed L45's and reassembledsthe stock board as it'll be given away during Keycon. Then I ordered a new module/pc plate which should be here this week.
i see
Try it with Carbon Fiber or FR4
u're gonna like it a lot more
Steel is just not it in alu cases imo
Did you also try tape mod?
me and cam use 1 layer of it with no foam in our salvations
only time steel works is gasket mount
and the plate being heavily isolated from the rest of the case
i didnt mind steel in the stock case
I didnt do any mods. When the module gets here I'll try again with the Jades (I'll be lubing a new set this week) and then I can try a few different mods. My goal is to have 3-4 great but different sounding boards for Keycon along side some stock and stock tuned boards.
tho overall out of the plates I used, carbon is my fav
yeah foam, and plastic eats a lot of the resonnance and bright tones that come with steel
so it's not bad in the stock case
sounds good
What config of the 60he do you actually main
just curious thats all
the one he feels like that morning
feel wise salvation easily wins but honestly that carbon fiber gummy o ring tofu is pretty damn good
typing on the salvation is way better tho
it is like that huh
It changes weekly it seems. Last week and this week its been the Noxary case, with Kanketsu caps and Frankenraptors. Its a really muted sound and feel that Im enjoying a lot.
i feel ya
I might change my config again as my pbtfans abs caps will arrive soon and those are deeper than GMK
That noxary case was the x60 yeah?
might try PC Plate again or go for Carbon once again
Bottom row alphas and spacebar is kinda weird on FR4
In the salvation
I did buy a second Frog mini and will be giving it another shot this week/weekend with as POM plate and some Jades
i like the spacebar tbh
did you try the frog mini?
T60

Itâll be here today
right i forgot different timezones
honestly i love how low the frog mini is and stuff
i kinda wish i picked it up
I tried it like 2 years ago with an aluminum plate and L60's and it wasnt my jam. I sold the plate but kept the board. Now I've got another coming but trying some different options
I tried to get a black one and impossible to get now
for frog mini
since geon stopped producing them
Yeah theyâre pretty OoS everywhere
ye i could only find silver
damn
I think cafege has the last remaining silver ones
yep
did geon sell otu on his site?
Not sure
i mean i wouldnt mind any color besides silver
silver sucks for me
I donât own silver so perfect for me

ye cafege price is a bit interesting
Lmao
it's the people who lurk and operate in silence
Hello guys i got a question ! I made a custom of my keyboard with Tofu 60 and custom cable but i got problems with some keys when i press the letter Z cause my keyboard is Azerty sometimes it doesn't work so when i want to move but i press another button like spell on Valorant i stop moving and i need to stop press z and press again to move. And it's the same with my T sometimes when i talk in game it's not working when press in continue please help me !
not kidding as I got 4 dms from people who haven't posted here
it has to be
we should gatekeep our secrets
and they were like "i saw you used frog mini with 60he"

I need a silver board, pretty much the only color I dont have, but it'll happen.

i have 2 silver boards but they are old and they made me hate the color silver
I have these switches but idk if they are compatible on the wooting
I have one silver board which is my Haus
keycaps will work 100%
The switches were too big for my hyperx keyboard

Leg me edit that
why is it always the cheap keycaps with cool designs
I have these Keycaps
unless it's the new keychron some how
they allow for mx and he pretty neat
But they are too big for my hyperx tkl keyboard
wait what
Keychron Q1 HE is a full metal QMK wireless keyboard with Magnetic Hall Effect switches. These switches offer precise actuation, rapid trigger, and adjustable actuation points. Connect the Q1 HE with up to 3 devices through Bluetooth for seamless multitasking across Mac, Windows, and Linux.
yeah this one
No i mean what's the difference in sound
unless they just copy pasted wrong
they must've
tho it would be crazy
to have both a normal q1
and he if u want to
that'd be crazy
absolutely mental if they did
it probably is as the Akko mod he can do both
south facing leds interesting
Can you mix and match at the same time or only do all HE or all MX?
Must be a typo because that picture doesnt show a PCB with 3/5pin sockets
i mean even if you cant, you can probably order a Q1 plate and pcb and put them in here
and just hotswap the modules
that's still pretty neat imo
easily
they do but the price difiference not worth it
i already have enough keycap packaging as is so i don't need another one
it's $199 barebeones and only $20 more for switches and caps
for me its more of a room difference
kind of scam for barebones
it always was like this with the Q1
the switches will be needed anyways so eh
i dont think you can put jades in this can u
probably not
Did you pre-order the Q1 HE?
me i didnt
I didn't either
but it would be cool
They do have the ugliest keycaps. I really wish their barebones was cheaper.
i like the 60he because of the layout and the salvation is a good case for both MX and HE
I just spring swapped all the switches and put it in a tester so I can compare springs and then threw out the keycaps lmao
I just want arrows on my 60HE
I did (I need to understand competitors) but they are currently about 6 weeks behind schedule and they have made a few changes to the design since the kickstarter,
that'd be a 64HE
Yeah that would be the only reason Iâd get one
Sure that works.
Ive owned 3 Keychron boards in the past and while they are good, the front height / overall height is horrendous for me. However its needed to hold the batteries.
are they really high?
yeah I did notice that as their own site says shipping late march for kickstarter and and then april fro everyone else
but then the main site says shipping in may
This is the last email I got, which talked about the second delay
lmfao
oh oh
Nice, just got to buffer out the scratches
nice photoshop
So can anyone tell me the general diff in sound between fr4 and polycarbonate and which could go best with ks20u
Best is what you like. I havent either so canât comment.
Well I just need to know how the sound compares and how they bot affect the sound in a different way
i think there are videos on youtube with fr4 vs pc plate but not with the KS20u
Look up aetospace engineer explains keyboards, he goes over the difference between all the plates
I can't find any good ones the mics are low quality so all the plates they tested sound the exact same
what gasket should I order for o-ring mount?
Sound tests are a lie anyway
Graveshift S 30-50a
like i can just go with anything between 30 and 50?
Yes
Higher is harder
i see
they won't be accurate to how it sounds irl but if the sound test is fair then you can compare the sounds
of both plates
Too many factors, when its in your hand you might prefer the other one instead.
hmm true
Sound is complicated when they are this many variables which affect each other.
comparisons are still possible but yeah you may prefer the other one irl
I personally go for feel over sound. Its gonna sound how it sounds.
my main point is that you can compare tho.
You can, but its not really all that informed. Thats just me though. Yall can do what you like.
ive only been using gaming keyboards so ive never felt a good feeling keyboard
yeah i guess.
Feel is also preference and you just have to try it out to see what you like. No other way really.
Someoneâs mushy is someoneâs stiff.
wobble is part of it too yeah?
Switch wobble? I guess so, but generally almost everyone wants less wobble.
Wobble can create issues. But so can be going too stiff/tight or too lax in your build.
yeah the friction feeling i'm assuming
which keyboards have you owned in the past?
Just wooting keychron and razer
HE is the future I dont see a point in having another keyboard atm
which razer kb?
yeah i'm getting my wooting in may
yeah you got the names right i guess
was hoping you had the huntsman TE cause i wanted to know if its switches are considered wobbly
One full one and then tiniest they got
yup
Hi ! What's the best site for ordering keycaps in FR-ISO? thx
Giving up and using ISO-UK
Or going to ansi
I have already ordered my keyboard đ
Yeah youâll just have to browse Amazon or aliexpress and see if they have anything
ISO already poorly supported as is let alone French or any other specific language
Feel this. Would be fun to have a sick MX keyboard but don't see the point of spending money on it. It's not going to be used. I use my HE for gaming and I have a Keychron Q5 Pro for work. If anything I would swap the Keychron with a Wind X98 but it's impossible to buy so there's that.
If I had to go into an office for work id maybe have a typing optimized mx one
But i use my 60he for everything and its great to me dont see the point in switching between gaming and other uses i like to get used to one thing
yeah that's kind of what my q5 is to me. I've done some mods on it and it feels good and is silent which is what I was going for in the office. Only reason why I'm going back n forth is because I need a numpad for work

lol I want too, I already checked if it starts and it does
Iâll wear one of the old WW2 helmets we got laying around lol
go ride it (without as helmet)
hi !What is the difference between switches pls ?
get the 45's for better lighter press, but real upgrade is jade switches
from what I read
Jades be good
Anyone have any cool case suggestions or options for Wooting80HE yet besides wooting options?
L45s have less pressure to press compared to L60s but all lekkers sound bad tbh the best switches are the ks20 dual rail and the gatreon jades ks20 for thocky sound and jades for clacky sound
What's that case?
A tofu60 redux is the best case on wooting by a mile
Salvation
I don't think they have a version that fits 80HE been seaching
What switches are you trying to compare?
Going to do a tofu 60 redux, blank keycaps and jades on my wooting when I decide to mod it
for now ordered ghost case and the zinc alloy silver from wooting but wasn't sure if anyone had any other suggestions or mods they plan on doing or are looking at
The options in cart are the Lekker V2
I didn't see 80he lol
the revised versions of the original lekkers, the revisions should be better tolerance iirc
so less to no chatter which the lekker v1 had
and the stem wobble should be reduce if the revision is made
Tbh I think your only options are wooting then @mild shuttle
Thanks bro
There isn't any 3rd party case for the Wooting 80he
Thanks you two
Because of the layout and TKL layouts in general, thereâs no standardized layout. So therefore no standardized cases. There may be 3rd party companies that decide to make cases for it, but only the future will tell.
wait did you bring 2 modules and one case? xd
Ones MX
Don't plan for mods, only do mods if its needed đ
honestly based from the sound test I heard from the wooting page, 80he sound pretteh gud
Wait till you hear mine
Ima put mine in cardboard
đ
Thanks, bought the module and cases because I wanted the G Jade switches, now just seeing what else I can do with it.
Nvidia theme
Need that Amazon Prime board
The brass weight should say âFastest Deliveryâ
Gosh i cant think of jokes xd
Made from recycled Amazon products
If you already bought L45s I would do a spring swap with the l45 spring in the jades

Not too much diff tho
jades are like 30-40 grams i think
i dont really know how to read this 30壍7gf but I do think it meants like 23-37 grams?
idk xd
30+-7 - 50g
It's a 50g end compared to l45s 45
me when learning the quadratic formula
Yeah I got them for free with Module and Jades, so switch the Lekkers springs into the jade?
thanks for tips fellas
If you want less weight if you want the springs to be harder to press then just leave them
I personally prefer the minimum amount of weight but it does make for typos if your actuation is too high
If you do do this I would recommend a universal actuation of 3 mm on your typing profile
But for gaming it's awesome
so for fps, you need the l45S better but for better sound the L60s, exact ?
No. Neither is better or worse for either. They have 2 different spring weights and whichever works best for you is something you have to test for yourself.
Also there is no best or worse switches, there is only which ones you like better or worse.
Yes tbh all lekker suck equally for sound
He is saying that as his opinion. I quite like my lubed lekkers
kk thx !
I also don't currently use Jades in any of my boards as I haven't found a combo that I like with them yet.
Fps less spring weight is usually better bc easier presses less fatigue
But sometimes more is better since the heavier the spring the faster it can come back up
I meant travel case
45/50 is usually pretty good
Silver looks clean
Yeah I like my switch tape modded lekkers
I assume if I want different spring forces I can just swap out the springs right? I wouldn't need to buy whole new switches?
Correct and spring packs will be available soon
I know I can for normal switches, just not sure how special the wooting ones are
Ty sir
Lekkers really donât sound that bad, itâs just the stem wobble for some (imo)
Doesn't filming a switch help with stem wobble? Or am I wrong
That helps housing wobble not stem
^
Ahh
is that a FROG
đ¸
does the wooting fit in the frog case?
ohhhh
ITS A FROGGIII
does the geon plate fit the wooting pcb?
WHA PLATES
WHAT PLATES!?!?
No
Theyâre gasket mount plates

Material wise-
POM and Alu
Yessir
alr lmk how it goes
The best
wait you gonna do a stream?
Well if I do, I gotta stream it respectfully

I feel like GMK symbiote would look decent on here
the playstation set would look good too
Ah yeah duh
dualshot
Why didnât I think of that lol
Very nice
TL:DR for people who didn't know which plate to pick and didn't want to watch a vid
I'm going with fr4 for a balance of clack and thock
The modding faq is actually super thorough thx thockfather
what do you guys consider to be the better switch? the gateron jade HEs or the geon raptor HEs?
jade
is it just better in sound or does it have better feel and gaming performance too?
sound preference
is all

so theres just no difference betwen them besides sound?
sounds and feel are all preference
i like having a shorter travel switch and i like the bottom out sound and feel of the jade
so thats why i bought the jades and not the raptor
so the actuation is the same, the stem wobble is the same, the pressure is the same, everything besides sound and feel are the same?
Has anyone here used Swagkeys Knight stabs in a build yet? I know TX and Staebs have had some issues with plate fitment.
its an HE switch so you set the actuation to whatever you want, the jades have ligher springs i believe. i think both the jades and raptors have minimal stem wobble.
raptors are orange so it effects your rgb colors
my bad i meant to say usable travel distance (i.e ive seen switches that only travel for up to 3.5mm instead of 4mm)
i use pure white for my rgb mainly so thats not good
i guess jades have less usuable actuation but it hasnt really affected its usability in-game for me
ah the jades only have 3.5mm right?
i doubt anyone wants to set their actuation in the 3.5-4mm range
yeah
ah yeah i mainly want to set mine to below 1mm so as long as the springs arent more finicky just cause they are shoter it sounds like jades are better
but ive heard that jades make white rgb slighly blue-ish is that true?
when i set my rgb to white, it does come off kinda blue but thats because my keycaps are blue so i cant really answer that question
also raptors have stronger magnets in them that could effect how it interacts with the sensor
mm ok ok, well ig ill buy jades for my 80he. since they only sell in packs of 70 and 10 how many should i buy?
stronger magnets? so does that mean they are more sensitive or they just have more resistance orrrr
its more of a calibration issue
I believe that I saw on Reddit that this was more of an issue if they're installed south facing
not sure but just look it up on google
Haven't confirmed myself yet.
mmm ig thats why they arent officially recognized by wooting
gotta install them north facing ig
since they only sell the jades in packs of 70 and 10 how many should i buy?
cause im gonna use them in my 80he but ive never used an 80% before so idk how many keys they have
ight then im just gonna buy 90 and hope it works out
From what I have gathered, new Gateron switches are retooled to not have interference when north facing so no reason not to as far as I can tell.
as long as i can keep my clean white rgb then im good
90 is probably what you want, you'll have a few extras but that's probably for the best anyway.
yeah just in case any break or i wanna frankenswitch something
I have jade switches on mine right now and they are hands down the best
coupled with staebies lubed and it sounds awesome, I didn't bother lubing each switch, cause quite frankly I couldn't fathom the time
10 jades gone arrive couple of hours later for me. i'm excited to try them out
lubing can be tedious but 205g0 made my jades sound much more bassy
lubing the top housing where the stem makes contact made a noticeble differnce
gotta keep these pictures somewhere
Birth of the CamFrog mini
@harsh dove this is what my setup looks like when I'm finished
I keep my mouse pad on my chair
to help with dust?
Nice and tidy
does anyone have a sound test of hand lubed v stock lube gateron jades
POM would probably be the safest bet.. but what pairs well is up to what you like
I'm planning to combine it with jade switches
black pom, RGB is not bright
Yup
Ah dang didn't know you streamed last night. The frog turned out great looking @harsh dove how did it sound?
And which plate and switches did you try
oh he did stream it
i wanna see how it sounded too
@harsh dove when you can drop a sound test of it
Actually sounded pretty solid, Tenturo said he wanted it back
I did Jades with Alu plate since he said he never tried that
When I get home today
Iâll stream it again at some point because I wanna try the Pom plate and the KS20u (peaches)
Yeah it does lol
no u
Could be a fire combo
Embrace the shine
Could be sweet. I donât like the look of it (more of a pure matte guy) and guess I wouldnât like the feel (prefer more texture). But might have to try them at some point
But Iâm not really a full on keyboard enthusiast collector type
Donât need 50 keycap sets
Iâm too dependent on my side print shine thru since my keyboard is always shuffling spots on my desk
Had to publish it
ah
these have textures to them as well just not as much as pbtfans
i think thats good

Any recommendations for my next keycap set
I like purple and i really enjoy my lighter colored caps i got
I saw a few that i really liked but finding iso-de support is a nightmare
is it normal that my jades turned my white led tint extremely bluish?
like not even blueish white, its staright up blue..
Yes, the Jades have a blue bottom that the LED shines though
yeah its normal, but its way worse if you have them southfacing
it really bothers me đŚ
you use rgb keycaps?
no, blanks
do you have the switches southfacing or northfacing
north
i mean it sucks in both but even the lekkers the white wasnt really white
cant really do white with rgb leds
yea, but it was way closer to actualy white
i dont think you gonna be able to do that as i tried that myself
it kinda works not gona lie
You better not lie
thing is, that the bottom housing is a bit visible, even without the leds on
so i guess thats it
I wish it would sound and feel bad, so I just ditch it, but its not
Just replaced my L60s with the Jades (Two HE), and wow. This is really great. Coming from Gateron Clears, the L60s were worse for me then the Gateron Clears but these Jades... Man they feel nice. Sooo much less wobble, this is great. It also sounds pretty nice. (It was worth it to buy a used keeb to replace the switches.)
Already had O-Rigs on the Keycaps with the L60s, was a nice little upgrade, with the Jades this also feels great.
My fingers hurt tho, had no switch/ keycap puller, pulled them manually after unscrewing the top plate.
You are a beast
my finger tips still hurt, and more then 20 mins have passed.
was pressing the clip with a metal ifixit tool, and pushing the mout from the bottom
i ordered a second wooting he module and i ordered the tofu redux (acrylic) with the geonworks raprot he switches anyone have experience with the raptor he's ?
yea i saw people do that and they love is whats the diffrence with only raptor /lekker stem
thank you, do you know where to get carbonfiber plate?
Less stem wobble, housing had nice sound, stem solid and hits housing with good sound. And I love the l45 spring
Little bit of not a perfect match on probably like 5-10% of the stem swapped raptors tho
So itâs not perfect. But when it works, itâs quite nice.
anyone got any recommendation on where to get keycaps that works with the wooting two he?
Almost any keycap will work
i see, do you have any sites you would recommend?
my first time ever changing keycaps, i've always used whatever comes in the box
Curious if anyone has tried an o-ring mod on the wooting module with diff stabs?
It says the screw in stabs get in the way but you could replace them with clip ins. Just wanted to see if anyone has tried that before I order an o-ring
Yes, I suggest clip-ins or better yet plate mount for gummy o-ring mounting. Some users says screw-ins work ok for the case that they are using, but I don't recommend it personally as it can angle the PCB slightly
Thanks for the reply
I have o-ring with stock module stabs
But yeah some people doesnât seem to work. Idk
i would choose the s size oring if you're gonna go down that route
My issue with Screw ins and S-size O-ring is it angles the PCB in the Tofu
Like Tirade said
My 60he is coming in today
Any tips on what to do and what not to do
People already told me not to relube it as it's not worth the time as they are factory prelubed
Im new to keyboards that can be opened and hotswapped
I have some cat themed keycaps
Def will slap those bad boys on
Someone told me that thick Keycaps are not good for hall effect keyboards
These are pretty thicc
Tip #1 take peopleâs opinions with a grain of salt
If you plan to mod it, the #đŞâmodding_faq is a good place to start
Meh I use Medium with screwins and redux no angle issues
No plate foam tho
Think that might force me to use the small and get in the way
It wasnât staying in place at all with the small tho
Yeah itâs probably specific to using small, I didnât try with medium
Yeah medium, no plate foam fits nice
It kind of fits right in the stab ez
Gotcha
Yeah idk
Iâm just built different I guess
Meaning my standards are lower so I see no problems
Thatâs what I say about tx ap stabs

Issues for everyone else except me
Yeah
I mean I didnât necessarily have any issues with the small o ring
Just didnt like how it sits
Man thatâs crazy cuz I couldnât use my Small at all
Just didnât even hold the PCB in the case lol
I remeber it being pretty tight but Iâll have to test again
Well cuz I kind of put the ring in the stab too
Yeah gotcha
Idk if others are going around it or not
Well thats a completely different vital piece of information lol. Which would also explain why the small o-ring didnt work. I dont suggest putting the o-ring inside of the stabilizers but now it all makes sense why you had no issues lol
Yeah that does make more sense
Iâd imagine most go around the stabilizer housing like myself
It just kind of fit right in there nicely
Who was it that had these keycaps
@polar girder
do the legends look good?
Like really close up
I ordered some ÂŁ10 keycaps dye sub and they look terrible
The legends have a blue tint on the edges
Iâm at work but I think they look good from memory
I donât usually check out my keycaps with a magnifying glass or anything tho
One thatâs this and different white one
And the legends look terrible without even looking super close
I love how xda looks
looks sure. feels nty
they're 10 euro what did you expect lol
also
Sad
Hi
Iâll keep these keycaps on
Does the keyboard support cherry profile keycaps?
When the wooting comes Iâll put the gentlemen ones
Yes sir
K
Would these work?
Anyone?
Yeah
Pretty much all mx keycaps should work without issue
You will have variance on keycap tightness and possibly warped space bars or misprint legends but that all depends where you get them from

Happens after a while to matte/frosted finishes
But thatâs prob better
Gives better grip
Yh
what can cause that my "A" key is significantly louder than any other key? same keycap, same switch etc
Any good keycaps suggestions for a mainly blue black setup?
you suggest this gap causes it?
Hello there I'm going to buy some tape for in my keyboard but is there anything I need to look for when buying tape? So I don't damage my pcb
For tempest mod just get painters tape
And is there a difference between masking tape and painters tape
painter's tape is intended to be removed, so it has weak adhesive (which is good)
Do you like the way that tape mod sounds? I feel like it makes some of my boards too poppy sounding. Depends on the switch and the plate of course.
do these work for the wooting
Please edit your link to remove the ? and everything after it.
And the answer to your question is yes
k ty
Anyone has any tips to make the wooting uwu quieter?
Foam?
Ear plugs
This your setup? Is that a glass mousepad?
Itâs a glass desk
Mousepad is on his chair
Just got a wooting 60he+ any keycaps recommendations I have no idea what to switch em to
Whatâs that black piece in the center? For design/contrast?
Idk
Cherry profile keycaps have been a popular upgrade option. If you donât have a budget, GMK seem to be a high end option to get. Otherwise you can search around on drop or novelkeys for some keycap options
My $65 GMK Tuziâs
Alright thanks
Mine didn't arrive yet but I did get this today
Just get any paper based tape scotch blue is what I use but it isn't better or worse than any other paper tape the main thing is the layers I would do around 3
How many keycap sets do you have at this time?
Yanno, I always thought about getting GMK Norse
Any colors your going for?
I aslo grabbed GMK Symbiote today cause I could no longer wait for a sale
and watch, a sale is gonna happen now that I bought them
Is gmk really worth it tho it changes so fast and not in a good way
Not at the moment
uhh about a dozen or so
And so expensive too
changes so fast?
Like the shine goes
That's part of the culture
Common abs problem ofc
If you say so lol
Lol well if buying GMK, you have to go into it knowing these things
I'm more of a pbt guy myself
Yeah there's great PBT stuff out there
Looks good feels good and stays good
ABS does have a larger color palette though
Give me smth to work with lol what colors do you like?
It does but tbh I'm kinda plain I just want monotone with some highlights maybe
Yeah I feel that
Usually some form of WOB
most of my stuff is grey
Tbh I never understood the appeal for brown or purple keycaps but ig it just ain't my thing
It's a nice shade of gray
Imo vibrant colors don't look good on a kb unless their highlights on black or gray but to each their own
Black white or a mixture of both
Just got home from a volleyball game, we lost badly :c
Nice to keep things fresh
Yeah this is my setup in the living room, and no I use a zowie gsr se gris and it was on my chair
The black in the middle of my desk is indeed glass
Thatâs funny actually. I very recently ordered a purple keycap set đ
I typically steer towards brighter colors
@static tendon
Purple bois
Porpol
Do your arms feel cold to the touch when first getting on the setup? Just due to the glass?
nahhh
its not cold over here
I just got both these sets
Porpol
And if you didnt notice, the yellow tape in front of the edge of my desk is double sided tape, my dad wrapped my table in some clear plastic wrap to keep it "cleaner"
I love darker shades too. @harsh dove keyboard really caught my attention but I noticed when I had black keyboards I typically always used my brighter colored ones
Even though it made it look worst and theres no point in doing it đ
Iâm sure Iâll own a black keyboard down the line but purple is gonna be my next theme. Iâm gonna get a large purple mousepad next to match my GMK Vaporwave
And thats why people keep pointing out to clean me desk although it aint even dirty :D (people think the bubbles are dust)
Lol that'll be cool

it's awfully noticeable on lekkers so kind of desire minimum of it
