https://help.wooting.io/article/177-putting-your-60he-module-together
Put them on the standoffs to cushion sounds a bit.
So you finally have your awesome new 60HE Module, but you're not entirely sure how to put it all together? Let's get started! What's in the box Opening the box
Well if I had any thoughts about canceling the Fjell itās already picked up and will be here Monday damn lol
Ooh i see thanks!

i would imagine its just foam switch films
ive got some
plastic? probably not. foam? feel like it could help with the sound maybe. worth a try since films are cheap so
How is that compared to the Lekker and ks-20
i dont have them on hand but allegedly theyre the best magnetic switche son the market rn
i c
much better sound wise and feel. Less wobble and they sound closer to a proper mechanical switch
@static tendon
Are there any other Hall effect switches on the market that I donāt know about? Iāve seen red and black ones but just canāt remember the names
Also what are you favorites so far?
Assuming the Jades
Jades for sure, but raptors are also good
I think the jades donāt really do the frog justice
Yeah I'm a bit surprised here and think raptors have been the best in frog tbh
I just put jades on the stab keys, raptors werenāt doing it there
But yea the raptors are real nice
will say tho the jades def sound more like mx switches
Oh idk raptors sound a lot like a gateron switch
But jades do sound like a lot more like youād expect a long pole to sound ya
Only complaint I have about jades really is what I knew I would, and that's the spring weight being light as a feather
I swapped the spacebar one to the L60 spring already, and will do the other ones eventually
Yea very light
The jades in the frog with that plate sound like pebbles hitting it. Almost like real jade. Guess they are named right lol
Does anyone know if Klippe T has sharp pointy corners like Tofu Redux? Redux is otherwise perfect but corners make it uncomfortable.
Oh never thought about doing a spring swap between the L60s and the Jades. That does sound kinda nice to avoid accidental presses
Do you mean the edges?
yes
u cld actually use rubber and tape those ends
the GH60 seems alright same with the Alumaze
in the pic of the website looks like it does
yes the edges are squared
oh so they arent pointy like the Tofu i c
yes it does
personally i donāt really see the difference with the klippe and the tofu
basically the exact same case
Thanks for the help - no Klippe T then š„²
Klippe is tall af
front height
they have the same typing angle, no ?
i think the klippe t might be 8 degrees
the tofu is 7
They are similar cases. The Klippe is a higher quality case but is more expensive. 1 degree difference in typing angle.
u can check the other compatible case list
or if u want u can get your own mod in and tape the corners
i donāt think
iād buy a klippe t
the quality difference is very slight
but thatās just me
Having owned multiples of both I feel like the Klippe finishes are much higher quality
i love the tofu but i do want to explore more cases, i was looking into a blade60 or an fjell
Fjell is even better. Same typing angle though
ah i see
yea, the fjell is very good
should have my wooting by thr end of the upcoming week
very excited.
This is the second Tofu Ive had that showed LED fading or weak anodizing in areas. Ive never had that problem witu the Mekanisk cases
Already have Maze64 in white, Tofu Redux + Freebird60 in black š„² Noticed I prefer higher case with cherry profile caps.
OOF
is the fjell 8 degree typing or 7 degree typing angle
ahh, is it the same with the redux ?
8
8 I believe
OOF to high for me
I never purchased a redux but I dont imagine they changed the finishing process. I could be wrong.
Freebird60 and maze64 are lower angle
I was looking into the cyberspace case that was made but its sadly only for the 75% or 65% which sucks
Maybe mojo60 youāll like cause itās round
im running the Tofu redux
i had the issue with my other tofu case, they advertised that the anodizing was better on the redux, iāve had mine for 4 months and i havenāt noticed any fading, again i might not have had mine long enough.
i wish i could get a blade60 in stock, theyāre always sold out
Dont theyhave the USB port exposed for the tofu
One of my favorite cases for the 60HE most people have never heard of or seen. It was a very limited run case that looks like a Fjell (same shape and shaped bezels) but at a low front lip and 5 degree typing angle
no itās not, thereās a cover for it you can remove though
what is it
i mean upon installation
For the board
Thats actually pretty rare
It's actually on my desk right now
no i donāt think so
Tofu60 Redux case with Geon raptor switch cases and lekkar stem, lubed with krytox 205 g0
So its just me LOL
ig i pushed the module too low
Thats hella nice
What is this one called?
Jeez, fjell is $300?
possibly
yep.
Gotta love my hobby
i want to buy a new case for my wooting
ive checked for new cases as well
but i cldnt find any
i didnāt know the wooting wrist rest fit this perfectly on the redux, might buy one
i found this
I bought the alumaze, but it hasnāt come in and Iām considering other cases should I switch?
kprepublic had nice stuff
Better than on alumaze
return the alumaze if you dont like it or refund it
I now want one very bad lmao
this is a preference question. alumaze is great, but if u want something else get something else.
thereās no real issue with the alumaze though lol
Meteorite grey E-coating Redux...really nice and yes wrist rest is bang on same size
I just need something low profile, is the alumaze considered tall?
no, very flat i think
the typing angle is pretty low to my knowledge
it comes with adjustable feet, but the base typing angle is 4 degrees
alumaze is one of lowest angles you can get besides that one aliexpress case that is 0 degrees
0 ?? ššš
i bought one in black and one in Quartz wrist rest
0 degree keyboard seems odd... I feel like keycap profile would make it look bad
It was called the Sentraq High Profile case. It came in 3 versions. All aluminum, all acrylic or a combo of both. This was over 6yrs ago though so good luck. I think there was around 50 made haha
50/50 version looked great. The acrulic ring around the middle was nice.
i pray one day we get customization on the wrist rests and alumaze
if i could get a maroon wrist rest id buy it right now no hesitation
And here was the acrylic version
im praying for one of those uhh futuristic keyboard cases that has a LED display on it that is 60%
and can be used for the wooting 60HE
That one might be tough as the 60HE doesnt have a connector for any extral displays.
well we're getting a white wrist rest and a white alumaze eventually
this litearlly just looks like a fjell lol
u dont need one if it is in the board, like uhh a multi type C extender
There are quite a few gasket and top-mount cases that you can use for the 60HE with a custom plate
what is even different about it design wise
wouldnt be surprised if they make even more colors tho
Yes, just much lower height and angle. Mini fjell
yea i was gonna say, a bit smaller than the fjell as well i believe
tofu redux is much improved from the normal tofu we've had for years
@copper pulsarTry tis
Hi all, welcome back to another ClickClack Groupbuy! From one of the studios who weāve worked with before, Vertex, weāre pleased to present their next project Arc60 ā a stylish 60% designed around another Geometry concept as always. We hope youāll enjoy this as much as we do! Without further ado, we would like to intro
my fjell will somehow already be here on monday because dhl goes crazy
yea, thatās what i said. the anodizing is definitely better
Yeah my black one I was impressed
nvm
dhl shipping is elite, got my tofu in literally 4 days after i ordered it
life, death, and dhl being fast af
Holy60 Keyboard kit Explore a new dimension in design and functionality with the keyboard case, Ā we are excited to present the Holy60 case, featuring a lightweight design philosophy. The overall weight of the case is approximately 220g, crafted through CNC machining with each surface individually processed. This marks
i still plan on trying this.
theoretically possible if it could tap into the power and data line of any board, but it would require a multi type USB C cable and soldering straight to the board. however I dont think it would work with how much power HE draws. only other way is for it to have its own display cable and port but that would look odd imo.
real, praying they give my 60he+ module to dhl šš½šš½
It still works but u cld also Route the cable into a different format or ig solder
its one way but its painful
Or replace the key and make a make your own
LED switch and have it stuck into it
have it still work as a key while have it as a moniter or have a wireless
Thing going into the module or soldered while being powered from the power draw
well the thing is that the board itself has the USB port on it, so the screen would need to somehow tap into that, either that or use some sort of extender that the board and screen connect to, but that would increase the size of the case a lot.
Yea
Dont forget it depends on the LED too
wdym?
its a screen it just needs power and a connection to a PC
would just act as a monitor
but u still need some software
to change RGB or change the look of it
/display anything
unless its being coupled ig
depends on the type of screen, but theoretically your PC would just detect it as a display
i c
Few more builds and I will make a kb with all random switches lol
but yea itd be a good idea icl
Yeah that gateron pack was weird
No clue was the all clear switch is
North pole in glacier kaihl housing? Not sure lol
@harsh dove did you end up lubing the springs or anything on your jades? Wondering for when fjell gets here if I should do anything else while I have wooting disassembled at that time
or when im spring swapping the jades to my lekker 60 springs
i didnt think it could get worse than mice with holes
what the fuck
how else are you gonna lift the keyboard while you game
Now thats clacks
i like it
Jades and raptors sound good but i prefer Jades for all out clack
Yeah Iām loving the jades
Hows the rgb on the jades? I saw the plastic on top isnt as clear as on the lekkers
yeah how are you gonna slide it around
just get some tiger dots and the new artisan desk pad
perhaps chop the keyboard in half
Donāt use rgb myself so couldnāt tell you
maybe just use the pcb with tiger dots on it
oh i see
drill HOLES in the pcb
theoretically it isnāt impossible to cut out all of empty parts of the pcb and just have the threads of the pcb, you may even be able to get rid of the rgb threads
This is south facing too
60he is north facing on the switches by default so it would probs be even better than this
ooh that is really good especially since they are south facing hmm now im tempted
wanted to wait first to see if the 80he maybe comes with lekkers 2.0
From looking at them it's p clear and looks same as lekkers to me tbh
in terms of opaqueness
yeah thats great ill cop a pack soon ig
u donāt get it.
Holes on anything like that look dumb (Mice included) š
mouse holes are fine imo 'cause i'm a function over form guy and my hands aren't transparent so it doesn't make a difference there anyways
holes on a keyboard though? can't think of a functional purpose for that lol
looks silly to me
well jokes aside lets hear how it sounds
i do agree with mice though, we can have solid shells and good shapes
Solid shells > Swiss cheese mice
i mean if it's not flexing under normal use, and it's lightweight, and fits my hand, idgaf
i don't use my mouse as an artpiece or something
What's the problem with the Superlight 2 then?
oh its logitech thats the problem
Well get a Lamzu V2 4k then
its not necessarily only aesthetics but shape
Ok
maya is 43g with a solid shell and a great shape
see not everything has to be for fingertip users
But the V2 4K isn't fingertip?
I mean you can
Ah ok so the upcoming M3K
I just wish we could get some 7u going
So tired of 6.25u ansi itās ugly man
I've used ''heavy'' mice all my life though but we're getting off-topic now
65% would be ideal
65% I donāt like much myself but I know people want arrow keys
After using the 60HE i don't really need it but would be nice to have, it's not my endgame layout
My end game layout is like my Mx stuff which is 60% Wkl
Would be cool if wooting ever does 7u
Like this my work board and wish had same for wooting
numpad on the left side is odd
But a numpad can be purchased separately so it's honestly unnecessary
Yes but it's there for mouse space instead
Wish southpaw looked better
Just looks so odd, but probs because weāre used to the other way
Yeah for right-handed users it's ''better''
are you using alu plate ? for frog
Thank you for tagging
Pom as my alu one ended up pretty meh sadly
š
prob my pcb will come next week literally felt like a year lol
i waited 3 months for og wooting that was nightwarwe
Arrow Key debate seems dumb when you have fn layers
But but ādedicated arrow keysā
Nah I left em as is
64% is disgusting and is only used by people who āneedā dedicated arrow keys
fr
lol
just like how people donāt need dedicated f-row or nav cluster or numpad
most strategy games need the arrow keys
ok but you dont need dedicated arrow keys for that
Job was based on speed, accuracy, efficiency so having a numpad was a lot faster
for comfort yes but its not that hard pressing 2 buttons if they are next to each other
just a bit annoying when you need it all the time in a game
The numpad can be used for a lot of scenarios though
Yeah
Thatās why I said thatās the only thing Iād debate lol
Everything else can be solved with fn layers
Yeah
you can just rebind the bottom right cluster im game tho
not like youād be using those keys anyways
could do that too ig
Layers are for players
I'm so used to my fn arrows key even when I use my tkl or 65% I never touch the arrow keys
has anybody tried o-ring mount in an alumaze ?
It works, but doesn't do much
in any way ? or just the flex part
I mean fricition mount doesn't really work that much anyways unless pcb and board is designed for it
But just doesn't have much effect on sound for alumaze compared to tofu
š thanks
just wish that tofu port was bigger
Anyone here lubed jades? wondering which parts are beneficial to lube since I can`t really test it atm.
Doesn't do much for the flex part but it does remove the dead sound points you run into with standard tray mounting. Gives you a more consistent sound profile
A few people have.
Bottom housing , stem, top housing, springs
so just dip in 205 lol
Yeah, fill a bowl with 205 and dump em all in there
ty tho, appreciate the info
Okay, another question, thought on medical tape on the magnet itself to reduce the bottom-out ping?
Not a horrible idea. As long at it doesnāt cause issues and done cleanly could be sweet
Iām going to try medical tape both sides of the PCB when I get my module
Not quite the same but hopefully it helps
got to test it in the keyboard first for sure, but now key release is louder than bottom out.
@fluid ravine lubed it with superlube cuz too lazy to hand lube
Before I think
(Not a wooting)
sounds good but vibrations are killing it for me
yeah still sounds a little wrong
I wanna try polyfill but dont got it
Maybe Iāll just gut one of my pillows
š
Quick question here: so i went from a corsair K100 opx in ISO to a 60he module with L45s in ANSI. technically it should feel way lighter in terms of actuation force, but for example my L-shift key feels noticeably harder to actuate and this kinda fucks me in games sometimes. could it be because this l shift key now is big and has stabs in contrast with my previous iso keyboard? if so would lubing the stabs make it lighter to actuate?
Man I do enjoy the sound of the gummy mounted PCB in a Tofu Redux, but it is kind of a pain to get it out after
hey everyone! I have a quick question regarding gummy o-ring mount for 60he+ module. I ordered the Jade switches and as per community suggestions opted for TX AP long pole stabs. HOWEVER, I ordered the plate mounted version, not pcb mount. will this still work with o-ring mod since both are not screw ins? I just don't know the difference really and how it would impact the mount
If it's the o-ring mod to friction mount the whole thing into a case then you actually need the plate/clip mounted stabs instead of the pcb screw ins
So you're actually good š
Does anyone know if filming the switches will mess with the travel distance calculation?
no I mean plate mount vs regular pcb clip-ins. not talking about the screw ins, I'm aware those wont work for gummy o-ring mount, however I'm confused if plate vs pcb mount makes a difference here.
Ah gotcha, I don't see why it would š¤
awesome thanks, I only build 1 custom board before so not really dealing with this on a regular basis. just needed to confirm I actually ordered the right parts and don't get a suprise while building it lol much appreciated
if you still have the time to return/refund the long pole stabs I personally would. itās very improbable you have issues with regular stabs and jades, and if you ever change your switch you would need to buy entirely new stabs. and if you do have issues thereās other fixes for it that donāt require long pole stabs.
the whole jades with regular stabs not working is pretty much misinformation, thereās a lotta people with normal stabs with no issues.
wouldn't need to buy new stabs, the stock ones are still included with the 60HE+ module. but my concern here is the o-ring mount, which will not work with the stock screw-in stabs. so I need to buy others anyways. be it regular or long pole, I still need to get a new set if I want to do o-ring mount.
well yeah if you switched from jades and wanted to keep gummy o-ring friction mount you would need to buy diff stabs
ik you need clip ins for gummy o-ring friction mount
jades are goated switches
I don't plan on switching anytime soon really. if they work as people suggest I'd be happy for a long time. and in the worst case I just spend an extra 15-20USD on new stabs, that's no big deal. I rather have the perfect fit from the start and go with long pole to compensate for the shorter travel distance. I just didn't understand what difference plate vs pcb mounted stabs make and if this has any impact on the clearance for the o-ring mount.
jades are bad switches
You need to get PCB clip-in stabilizers. Plate mount wonāt work for the module.
And you also donāt necessarily need long pole
how come, didn't the previous model come with plate mounted stabilizers? so you're saying only screw-in like stock or pcb mounted would work, but no plate?
Correct
what changed? some people already suggested me plate mount is fine and will work
The module PCB is modified to accommodate screw-in and clip-in stabilizers
sounds better at least
Well maybe it can
But I honestly donāt see why youād get a module just to have plate mount stabs
I just need to replace screw-in stabs because they interfer with o-ring mount. I don't mind if plate or pcb mounted, that was my whole question which ones to pick because I didn't know the difference and if they are both compatible. but people give me different answers all the time so I'm lost tbh lol
from this screenshot it seems like the actually confirm plate mounted works. because why else would they write "if you sand down the opening, you will loose compatibility with plate mounted stabilizers".
Right, theyāre saying itās compatible with plate mount
ok nice then I don't have to change my order. all thats left is finding a the o-ring
Wait fr?
Nah it works
I didn't know the module doesn't support plate mount anymore.
God you got me tripping
---(o_ć_)o
I just donāt see whyād you get a module to get plate mount
lol yeah my bad
All g
what else should I get?
For..
don't understand what you mean by that. I didn't want to get the full board because it's not in stock nor do I need anything else other than the PCB, rest will be aftermarket parts
Well just cause part of the purpose of the module is that it supports screw-in and clip-in stabs , which most people prefer
But itās really up to you
but doesnt the fully build board do too? it's labeled as "60he+"
No, the regular 60HE only supports plate mount stabs, which some people donāt like compared to screw-in or clip-in
from what I see on the website the PCB is identical
It is identical aside from the fact that the module PCB supports screw-in and clip-in stabs
They updated wooting 60he
it's now 60HE+
!!!
hm ok, either way as I said I didn't know better which ones of the two to pick, I just knew I needed to order NOT screw-in stabs
yep what I said...?
now all prebuilts will have screw in support (still comes with plate mount tho)
So the fully built board comes with the module PCB now?
But comes with steel plate and plate mount stabs?
Very nice
idk about the stabs and plate, but I'm pretty sure the PCB is identical. so I was confused about your question why I'd pick the module in the first place lol
hope this makes sense now
Well like I said, most people prefer PCB mounted stabs I.e. screw-in or clip-in
But itās your choice really
ye, they are a bit more expensive too. at least the TX AP cost 18eur vs 12eur for plate mounted
And like you said if youāre going for gummy mount then youāll need clip-in or plate mounted to use gummy mount
so 50% more
But you only need them for the backspace and spacebar
yes correct, those are the only ones really but I'll replace all just to not mix stuff
Yeah fair enough
I could ask support if they can still change my order to PCB mounted and I pay the difference
if you say generally thats the better option
i dont mind paying more
but if they cant do it before shipping than it should be fine as well as long as its compatible
not good enough!!!
Tbf I havenāt really had too much of an issue with plate mount once you tune them properly so itās up to you
And you said you got TX AP and those have tight tolerances so you should be good honestly
only thing missing is polyfill
maybe I will actually just gut my pillow yeah... šæ
I see people with black and white wooting tags. Where can you find them?
Comes with the alumaze60 case from Wooting
Š”ŃŃŠ»ŠŗŠ° на ŠŠ²ŠøŃо ŠæŃŠ¾ŃŠøŠ»Ń в Š¾ŠæŠøŃании канала.
you gotta make this board
all stock foams + few layers of tape mod, kilmat mod, replaced stock stabs on Durock v2 (holee+hl), hand relubed switches
they want creamy build not thocky
also wth
bro isn't even typing on it
not the greatest sound test ngl
its like deep as shit
that is quite annoying now i think abt it
I dont think i even have the same switches
im not telling you to build it rn
im saying like try to if you ever could cus youve been building a few gmk67 these days
im curious on how it would turn out from you
if it ever happens
For a better sounding experience, please use headphones.
Specs:
⢠Kit: GMK67 with Tempest/tape mod and tuned stabs
⢠Switches: KTT Kang White
⢠Keycap: CMK WOB ABS Doubleshot
Thanks for watching. Have a great day.
#zerocasion #gmk67
Probably not xd
I would get like a more premium kit ngl
something budget but all premium like the Rainy75
Im only making gmk67s because its for my friends
they pay for it tho
gateron jades or raptors?
Ive hear people run Jades but not raptors
More people go for jades since they sound better imo
raptors came out before jades i believe
I see
does anyone use the graveshift o rings for the 60HE? if so, small or medium sized and what hardness/color
go #šŖāmodding_faq gummy oring section
M size
Hardness if your choice
30-50a is confirmed
awesome thanks, found 55, think that should be fine enough too. all 50 were out of stock
š
Late response to the sound review but I gotta be honest, I think the L60's still hold the top in this sound test. Next pick for me would be the Jades due to that clackier sound which I do like
Yeah bummer, same for tactiles. Received mine last friday somehow. šš„²
Anyone knows how this product feels?
Just found this amazing item on AliExpress. Check it out! 11,50zÅ 35ļ¼
Off | Switch Sound Dampeners Sheet Soft Pad Dimple Foam Sponge For Mechanical Keyboard
https://a.aliexpress.com/_EQmj1Ep
anyone got tips to make stabs more responsive? my lshift key feels sluggish af
Looks like the jade swiches have a discount right now on aliexpress if anyone wants them
Eyoo everyone, so I kinda made a mistake. I live in Finland and we have this stupid layout called ISO nordic, and all the keyboards i would like to buy are ofc in ansi. Same goes with keycaps and i might have accidentally bought ANSI keycaps. Now the question is, can you convert ISO to ANSI layout easily or is it straight impossible?
I've modded some keyboards and i allways see the other switch placements and i was wondering if it's the same for wooting 60he
You got a link?
It's not going to be possible but talk to wooting about changing your order.
remove some lube I guess
I allready have the keyboard, but maybe ill ask about a pcb change, i dont think it's going to be possible though.
still in return period?
hello guys, i wanna build this keyboard as cheap as possible. are the random plastic gh60 cases compatible?
on aliexpress*
e.g.: https://t.ly/Yepu3
did anyone lube the Jade switches and is it worth it? from what I heard factory lubed is quite good on these already
Yeah that will work
I opened up 5 of mine and lube is consistent so wouldnāt bother
Did 2 hand lube and no change against stock
I hand lubed didnāt make any real difference
@median spadethx alot š¤
np
I pulled the trigger. Willing to risk it for that price and plan to build it on stream with the mystery keycaps and switches it comes with. Also grabbed two sets of GMK keycaps for $60 each
Yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
eeeee
Which oring are you using it for?
Burger mount or gummy mount?
#šŖāmodding_faq check gummy oring
"Graveshift" and "Bakeneko"
I will get you the links give me a moment
M for medium! These are standard sized to fit most 65% keyboards as well as some 60%. PLEASE READ THE CHART BELOW FIRST! There is also a chart for you to see if your board is on our checked list. If it is not on our chart, we do not recommend buying it, and you are buying at your own risk. If you are located in Canada,
What case was this again?
M size
Bakeneko 60 build. Not an HE board
I just tried the fricition mount on my freebird60 with 30a oring and was not expecting this much of a difference
hollowness is all gone now so that's cool
whats the difference :)

Finally found a use for the 30a oring that came with one of my other boards
ayyyyyy
now get some polyfill
and fill that shi up
I would but my fjell will be here tomorrow so this the extent of what im trying
turn that boi into a trampoline
also not sure if the faq for friction mount say sit bu ti had to take my plate foam out
you could mount it with plate foam but its much harder to insert and take out
Taking it out is probably required if you're using the silicone pad but it's mainly dependent on your case tolerances/gaps.
Yeah you cant mount it with silicone
cant compress and i think its really hard to wrap the oring around it
Leaving the foam in was fine for me in most cases but dont take out the corner switches with the o-ring still on or it'll push in the foam for sure.
Yea I was meaning the poron one as couldn't get it to even get in there
Question is how are you guys getting it out now
I've never done fricition mount on a case that doesn't support it, this this thing stuck in here lmao
Pull out two switches near the space bar and grab the plate and pull it up
30a might be too thick for the freebird and you might want to look into a 50a or close
Anyone got unique aluminum cases under 100 or should i just buy the alumaze60?
Unique and under $100 likely isnt a thing. That being said the Aluimze is a great case
I made a video about a year ago for how to remove it that way but I dont have it linked in the FAQ because I havent tested it with the PC plate. Not sure how much force it would take to break accidentally
When i had the foam in
i took out the window key switch and the right ctrl switch
Yes my thumb and kinda hook those slots and pull up
take your time taking it out
like Pops said not really sure how much force it would take to break it
it's not lubed (i didnt lube it at least
sspam the key
you want the lube to break down
overtime, the more you use it the more smoother it gets
oh thanks i didnt know about this at all
Yepp all good
But if the lube gets mixed with grease (like dieletric grease) then its going to be really slugish so you might wanna wipe that off and reply the lube and grease properly
but since you didnt lube it or anything then yeah, just break it in
then you will be set
maybe a problem i thought about
is since i'm used to iso
i'm pressing the key on the very left
like right where the left stem of the stab is
probably not helping either
yes, l shift
Iso doesnt have a left shift modifier right?
ty (i have big hands and its annoying)
hm
didnt think this would be an issue at all but makes a lot of sense now that i think about it
for gaming? absolutely not
Wat
horrible for me when typing and gaming
my left pinky sticks up everytime i type
my right pinky works tho
here lemme show an example
bro i feel sorry for you
ok i wont complain anymore lmao
its fineeee haha
i use my ring finger to hit shift during gaming i think
i dont remember
Yeah i press left shift with my ring finger when gaming
have to tilt the keeb like just a little bit
10 degrees or so i think
Thatās awesome, lmk how the quality is , otherwise Iāll probably see you build it on stream
lmao
literally "pinky finger.exe stopped responding" lmao
LMAO
its ok just go csgo pro mode and tilt it a full 90
ye idk how they do it either
i play 0 degrees flat or 10 degrees
i have a pretty steep angle when playing but nowhere near that
mmmhh yeah actually my tilt isnt that big at all now that i'm on 60he
before on my full size kb i had to tilt it for space issues lmao
and still was less than suboptimal
Yeah i had to tilt my full size when i had a smaller desk
anybody know if these would be too heavy for L45s? if someone maybe tried smth similar (aluminum)https://mykeyboard.eu/catalogue/kat-crusader-rama-gold_3147/
We're happy to feature two aluminum RAMA Caps for KAT Crusaider set! Both feature a base anodized aluminum color and an enamel fill.
I wouldnāt support rama lol
This
Otherwise thereās a bunch of posts in r/MechanicalKeyboards about rama
ah, okay ill take a quick look, thanks
i want a golden or golden/black escape to go with the black alumaze60
im open for recommendations
any comments/experiences on the weight of the material and the l45s?
if such a cap is too heavy for an L45 just stick an L60 under instead
yea thought so too, got 2 spare 60s, but still then, not too heavy for l60? hope not
gonna have to try
yeah that's gonna have to be a try it and see thing
id love a wooting golden escape
if it's still too heavy, which tbh I doubt, double the springs?
Anyone has links(NA) to buy o-ring thatāll fit redux case?
hm two springs in one housing is too much and it bottoms out on the spring instead of the actual bottom
Ty, found it, but forgot to delete the question

guess ill be comparing fjell against salvation as I also picked up a cheap salvation
Any suggestions/experience with sorbothane? Which DURO should I pick?
it's all fine tbh
for keyhboard you won't see much differnece unless you're making it tall enough to sit on the sorbo
Thanks!
would this aluminum case work for the TwoHE?
https://www.monsgeek.com/product/m5/
first full-size aluminum case I could find..
With a weight of approximately 2.5kg, M5 is a full-sized south-facing aluminum barebone kit. M5 is equipped with 108 keys, making it a 100% barebone kit that boasts a multitude of function buttons and a numeric area. This feature-rich design enables users to type with convenience, making it suitable for gamers, office workers, programmers, and t...
I was not expecting this much but after calculating everything I spent on modding the 60HE+ I came to a total of 525 USD incl shipping/tax for everything š
actually that is without the GMK keycaps, because I already owned them. so it's actually a lot more, oh well...
Hey guys.. Can you recommend any websites where i could buy cheap but actually not that bad keycaps.. im looking for something plain or japanese style
Aliexpress
What is your build?
I have the l60's
Lubed and modded
Switch tape mod best for lekkers š
i have franken raptors rn is it worth buying jades?
only if you dislike the frankenswitches, otherwise wait for more switches to enter the market
jades are good fwiw
no third party will fit the 2HE unless you're willing to dust off some garage tools; even then I don't anyone has bothered to try
maybe this project u might like? #š§ākeyboard_modding message
spoiler alert: you'll still be disappointed that neither have a 7u spacebar

Thanks for the ping on this
any update on it? Would love to purchase if it's out already
Np but I'm not sure, shoot him a dm
One day
Salvation was cost of tofu from kbdfans essentially so it can sound however it wants
Take my money. I've been waiting for this and I'ma get the 80HE as well
What exactly is the benefit of the 7U spacebar other than just being a little larger?
thats about it
lol
Aesthetics and I like how it makes left alt closer for my thumb
There probably is a legit reason if you dive into the Cherry files as they have every reason on why they did things
Are you talking about Winkeyless and 7U? Is there options to have 7u without winkeyless?
yes
what switches to make my keys less wobbly
switches with tighter housing. sometimes it's not just switches but many factors like your keycaps, plate, pcb
can also film your switches
raptor HE or gateron magnetic jade switches are the most used rn
how much for full keyboard
you would have to check for yourself
I think magnetic jade switches are $60 for 70
whats the differenmce between tehm
the main difference between them is that the jades are closed bottom which lowers their travel distance to 3.5mm, after that it would be sound.
Damn I've been MIA most of the day. Got my new phone and it took me all day to get everything moved over and set up and I'm still not 100% done.
what phone did you get?
so for performance jades?
theres absolutely no performance differences
do u know if they come prelubed?
yes they do
S24 Ultra. So far pretty amazing
do u know if this will work and actually will change smth https://a.aliexpress.com/_EQmj1Ep
probably wouldnt work with the wooting, and the wooting PC plate comes with that included
my pom plate came with no mounting points for the PCB??
Laser cut POM plates for the Wooting 60HE Plate. Compatible with TOFU and other 60% Tray mount cases. Custom made plates laser cut from Polyoxymethylene (POM).Ā POM is a high strength, yet flexible plastic - It is a great choice of material for a keyboard plateĀ as it provides a less firm typing experience and modified a
how am I supposed to make the PCB and plate sit together
there's no screw mounts on the plate
am I supposed to like dual layer plates bro what it this š
You need a standoff kit
Is the stand off kit even necessary? Can't you just add the switches to the plate and use it as normal?
No because the switches don't attach to the PCB
And with a POM plate you definitely need them to reduce flex
Hmm, then it's odd the company didn't include them along with the plate
Kbdfans makes the standoff kit. That company is just cutting plates
I feel like I would've made a similar mistake. The site indeed didn't mention anything about the stand offs but again I didn't look into this plate as an option
Yeah thats shitty on their part. They sell standoffs on their site too but not the right size.
Yeah itās called tsangan for not Wkl and using 7u
Amazing phone

Dad got a S23 ultra
I have a S21 plus
Ive been rocking my Note20 for 4 years almost so I was ready for an upgrade
Note20?!?!
Man I remember my dad having a Note 9 like idk how long
Like since forever
I still have a Note 9 in my drawer also lol

Note 9, 20 and s24 side by side
Just curious but any reason you're using the Bakeno60 over the wooting 60HE? I assume for the better typing feel or maybe just to change it up?
I'm not. Im just building a cheap non-HE board because Im a sucker for a good deal lol
Valid reason I suppose š¤
I thought it would be fun to build a $60 board and pair it with the mystery switches, case and kleycaps that come with it. never know how it will turn out
I guess to also ask, what caps are those? love the color. GMK?
Oh nevermind, just saw that it came with it š®
You get a random set of PBT keycaps with it so I wont know case color, switch type or keycap color until it arrives
I did buy 2 sets of GMK as well but that was just because it was a deal on a set I didnt have
Interesting. RNG keyboard
Thats a great way to put it lol
If its pink or light purple or something Ill give it to my daughter or girlfriend
Love pinks and light purple but that's a great way to pass it down
I used to rock a cotton candy themed keyboard
Still have it, just didn't like the plastic case and all. Otherwise I'd probably use it to this day
Are all the cases compatable with the wooting 60 as it is right now still going to work with the pcba version?
Yes, all universal 60% like the GH60, DZ60, POKER, etc will work with the 60he+ just like how it would with the 60he.
cool thanks bro

needs the full left half rubber set
nvm tthis doenst have tab and shit so wont be full
rip
with regard to the "hobby never ends" comments: can confirm, I've built probably 20 total over the years and I currently have 10-11 and just ordered a neo80 kit
it genuinely never ends
if you could only keep 1 or 2, which would they be?
Curious as well
probably frog mini and saka68 @static tendon @loud zephyr
if I gamed online more and wasn't 30 (losing reflexes, even if only a little bit) wooting might be one of them
It's all I use for gaming anymore, but if I'm being real with myself I'm not gonna reach the ceiling of where it'd matter
rocket league is all I stay truly competitive in now and I play that on pad, and in the last year and a half I've been making a huge push for myself to finish more singleplayer games
Anyone know where I could find some cool budget friendly keycaps?
I wanna get some nice keycaps for my Wooting 2 I ordered today
aliexpress tbh, just make sure they're double shot pbt
great way to get dogshit keycaps
nah i got great keycaps off aliexpress
I meant the doubleshot PBT part
how?
i guess if you're a purist, but as long as it's similar it's way better than a standard keycaps
anyways, i have a question, how does gummy o ring hardness affect sound?
not super much
whatever "standard" is
do you guys prefer the foam or the silicone between the pcb and the plate in the 60he+?
that is standard (must be as yellow as this screen, white at the time of purchase)
š
foam bro
@marble shuttle is it more thocky?
yeah
iam sure you will like more than slicone
thanks bro!
your welcome brother
neither
@crimson sky then what ?
not an issue with a decent vendor
also "is it worth it" depends on how much you pay
dunno where you are located or what you wanna buy lol
Iām not sure if anyone can provide advice Iām not entirely sure what I need in order to switch my switches to magnetic jades on my wooting, by that I mean like what tools would I need? Iāve heard Iād have to remove the plate or I can swap them out. Anyone have advice?
all you need is a screwdriver (PH1), a switch puller, and the switches
any new switches yet?
i just remove my switches without unscrewing anything
same
you could do that but it can be a little harder
Few HE switches appeared on Ali, but no confirmed compatibility
works in wooting
And maybe those Gateron's are 1.0,but it says new arrival xd
the latenpow straberry is a geon raptor re-color
Ah lol, didn't know
japanese community has gottne their hands on it
and they look just like the raptors as far as they can tell
and they have tested in wooting
they are prettey much the hceapest HE switches you can get
Modding_faq needs an update related to that it seems

OTM swithces also work
but you havec t to reverse the magnet
this guy has tested theem as well
cheapest switch but stem wobble is fair to bad according to this user
Those are super cheap aswell
yeayh but you havce to pull magnet out and flip
lol
but yeah strawberry ones are teh cheapest ones you can get right now but quality is ok
you can stem swap with lekkers
welp i swapped back to the stock wooting screw-in stabs
since the tx-ap were putting too much stress onto my fr4 plate
made it sound clacky instead of thocky, but honestly both stabs perform pretty much just as well
if not the wooting screw-ins feel even better
I think they're prelubed
im just waiting for the gateron jades and the black PC-Plate.... than im done ā¤ļø
Thank you!!! Do you recommend any specific screwdriver?
im using xiaomi's one
not really, just make sure that its somewhat small to fit into the screw holes
magnetic swappable bits
where did you get those key caps from? I have the same in ENSI, but couldn't find ISO standart
ratchet
amazon
dont use the little tech repair screwdrivers tho, those dont have enough torque
Ty Iāll try to look around š
i think those work fine too if u arent too picky about it, kbdfans provided it i think xD
but yeah ur right, something bigger works better
just not something too big that you'll end up scratching stuff like me
yeah but personally I've had issues with them not being able to unscrew certain screws and im afraid they're gonna strip the screw
it just requires a lot more force
and to my experience, ratchet screwdrivers are useless too
i just end up setting it as a normal screwdriver
Is there a common mistake I should know about š„²
When it comes to swapping switches?
I saw the sarokeys and was like let's goooo
but realized that's just a normal switch lmao
You can try it if you have a normal keyboard besides the wooting, but yeah hype disappeared lol
Yeah I have some strawberry wines so thats' why i got hype
Black PC Plate tomorrow (hopefully) and Wooting Module is about to ship, just got address confirmation email
has anyone made a video of building the module from start to finish?
they look like the regular ks-20 whites
tofu60 redux, tx ap long pole stabs, jade switches, custom cable, og wrist rest, oring mount, kbd switch/stabs pads, gmk modo2 keycaps
had to order from 4 different places so shipping cost was high overall
any recommendations on custom numb pads that go well with a tofu60 redux case used for the 60he?
Colour matching it is hard. I went the pricier route and bought into the zoompad group buy a while back
What way do the Wooting 2 rgbs face?
yes
Yup yup, everything after is just personal preference for sound
For you stock case enjoyers
This is FR4 plate from kbdfans, sillicone plate foam, gmk keycaps, and jades
turn up volume till you can hear my fans/ambient noise for accuracy
sounds great nice
yeah that sounds pretty good
im so hyped to get my jades... you wont belive
North
Aw man rip
are those gareron jades?
stock
i hand lubed 10 of them and it made no perceptible difference
the stock lube is really consistent
what about films?
Films don't do much on hall effect tbh
housing on the jades tight af as is tho so would be a task getting them on and closed
hmm I see
hall effect, outside lube depending, are in the camp of not much changes them currently
for the switch itself
main things we do know is the closed bottom from jades, and tighter tolerances being big thing
but some lube on the rails,a nd that's it really since they're no contact otherwise
I ordered pre lubed/filmed jades so guess I wasted my money oh well
@harsh dove Finally I got a reply
Noooo, give me my white cable already....
Sebastian tell you to send photos of what you got ?
Kinda surprised they want me to ship it back
Even tho I offered to anyway
I had already sent a picture based on Mansen suggestion
If I wanted a refund, but I do not wanted a refund, but that will not work for me, as I already received everything in my country after consolidating everything in the US (Alumaze, PC plates, dielectric grease, tape, etc), as usual letās see how that evolves
Weird
I didnāt ask for refund either
And the one they sent me isnāt technically defective either lol
Unless they forgot to paint it black

yeah, thats confusing
Yeah just a bit
Please share a picture when you receive the black PC plate
shipping cost will be more then the PC player
I will
has anyone gotten the black plate yet?
At this point I would rather to get credit in the store and wait for new items to be released, because I still need to consolidate and pay for another shipment from the US
I think a couple people here have
CAM is the patient zero
lol I wouldnāt mind a store credit tbh
Yeah I feel like I was first to order it tbh
But because of the mishap
I have to wait longer
Warehouse bro probs saw my order and was like āBlack PC Plateā?
āNever heard of such thing.ā
proceeds to shove white pc plate in packaging
the box is black? probably fine
A while
I heard about the black PC plate here, I believe they did not even announce the release in social media
Itās the same box it just says black pc on the back
It was kind of announced on the Wooting80HE discord livestream
haha same, i saw the post cam made saying something like letsgooo black pc plate, and then the next one with uuuuuuuuh. thats not black
More like it was forgotten but we wonāt talk about that lol
module by the end of the week š¤
you havent gotten it yet?
Nah , NA Clouds
didnt you order right away?
cam na
oh huh, figured those would be delivered rn
nope
Nah NA just got to warehouse
theyre still in stock, if i order now i could probably get another before you get yours haha
EU was first
ooh
All good
Shouldāve ordered separately
i could order another one and get it tommorow or the day after
For those of you with Feb 2-7th you only ordered module right? Nothing else
module switches is all
that was my order
yee
i have the cable and case and lube
Gotcha, everything must be arriving around the same time then to the warehouse
the wrist rest pissed me off that it wasn't a exact fit for the alunimum case
lol yeah itās slightly off
I confirmed my address like within 5 mins of it being announced
perfect for redux tho
lol
I use a Wooting TKL wrist rest š
Same
Common redux W
it fits the redux perfectly on the other hand, height and width are perfect
i won't buy the wrist rest for the wooting case but may buy it later for the tofu 60 casue its perfect for it LOL a thrid party fit better than there own
lol
lol
i liked the fjell
REDUX REDUX
Well that and seeing Tirades clone but not a clone of the Fjell looked real nice last night too
i was thinking of building another after my first of a red gold and black tofu wooting build
Yeah, rn I have an extra PCB with no case
oh no, now you have a reason to build another board
Exactly lol
like this
Tofu60 2.0 Tofu60 was born in 2017 and has sold more than 40,000 units. It's a lot of people's first entry-level custom mechanical keyboard.Tofu60 2.0 is a new beginning, the new changes will bring a new typing experience, and the new surface coating process can also bring more color possibilities. Specifications Case
Itās the avocado hotswap PCB from salvun
the burgandy rred tofu with this key cap would look sick
I see, for me shape is more important. color matching should be possible as I got the white version
It would but I feel like I see a lot of people do this with the red or blue GMK samuraiās
just orders some gateron jades too š
good build but basic
ordered**
gmk samuraiās are very overused imo
I missed it. Iāll have to look
i was originally gonna do Burgundy Redux with Red Samurai
Nice, donāt buy long pole stabs
nice, my jades got shipped today haha
glad i changed it
I have enough going on tho
Agreed
looks good though i already have a build going on though
didnt plan to, i heard it should be okay
hopefully I get everything by end of week
It is okay
Got this module rebuild. M3K PCB mod kit. Then Saturn pro
Time to chill for a bit lol
I just feel like GMK samurai is overused
Otherwise itās a nice set
yeah, so overused, so i went with WOB

whenever gmk changes their packaging ill buy a set
Back to OG plastic?
Yeah I kinda want Fjell and aluminum blanks
PBTfans on top with the packaging
i went with is plus the gray alunimum wooting case https://spkeyboards.com/collections/midnight-keycap-set
Realized I can tell the keys by the light from RGB
I heard the original Wooting keycaps sound better than most other ones incl. GMK, is this still true on custom cases or mainly just affects the stock case?
I don't like abs so I probably won't get another gmk set
the maroon case with the maroon samurai just doesnāt really have enough color differentiation in my opinion
if i did buy a maroon or red set
these two sets would probably be something iād use
the 3 different hues of red would freak me out ngl
itās really preference, i like contrast in my builds, colors that contrast but compliment eachother
i wouldnāt either, i like the keycap set though
the escape key stands out too much
it looks more pink than red
you want it to compliment eachother yeah, but that just doesnt go
yeah but thats not contrast nor complementary š
it's just slightly different hues
each their own, no offense š
iām referring to the keycap sets themselves
this is a tofu60 2.0 which i believe they offered in a red
the keycaps themselves, iād use for my maroon redux.
is what iām referring to
this build itself no, the keycap set yes
fair enough
