I use blue painter's tape, any brand will do and it's less than $5. Not super sticky so it's safe to take it off without leaving any residue. You can't use this with keyboard with battery since it's a fire hazard, that's where electrical tape comes into play

Alumaze/module foam is a flat piece for alu cases.
Stock foam is thicker, and the second layer doesn't cover everything and is taller.
If you ripped the second layer off of the stock foam and pushed it into the alumaze case, it'd be too thick (tall)
