yea definitelt still strong going into 2024
If youāre already on AM4 , just get a 5800X3D, if you have the money to basically build a new system, then go AM5
Yeah that's about how I looked at it
I didn't wanna spend another 700-1000$ so I just stuck am4
Gasket mount or steal the Frog Mini plate and build your own case around that
yea i think ill just upgrade my cpu and maybe buy 16gb more ram
thats what i was thinking
Yeah DDR5 prices are good now but motherboard and GPU prices are eh, can find some nice deals tho depending on what youāre looking for
I'm canadian so am5 prices were especially rough for me
Yeah
New mobo + CPU alone would've been like 800-1000$

Let alone ddr5 prices at the time
Yeah easily
At least modern PC's will/should last you a long time, unless you love playing the latest games with every blade of grass visible
im so glad i built my pc in late 2019 right before prices skrocketed
my favorite games r so intensiveš„²
I'll stay 1080p as long as necessary to achieve 240fps
everyone drop their specs
5800x3d, 6900xt, 32gb 3600mhz ram, only 1tb nvme
Ahh. I always presume everyone just plays Fortnite or CS on the lowest possible settings; despite having a decent PC lol
No
lucky
Peripherals wise I got xg2431, a bunch of lamzu mice, my 60he, and my glass and cloth pad
And my forgotten gpx
It's there too ...
my favorite game as of rn is cyberpunk and my 3060 and 3600x cry everytime i open it up
Nah, I play Minecraft with a 4090

The loading times are fast so not all is lost
But yeah that game needs a nuclear power plant at the highest settings
What's your fps with shaders
I get like 200+ on 32 render/simulation distance with really intensive shaders
Lmao I havenāt tried modded Minecraft yet tbh but I want too
Shaders aren't really mods tbh
Iām modding the Witcher 3 currently
That was on forge though so shit optimization
On fabric I still get good fps with tons of mods
One of my Witcher 3 screenshots
my GPU temps just skyrocketed opening that image
Better quality if opened in browser
Insane
I wonder what my temps are
I never actually checked
dang we're in trouble
ššš nah but I checked here an hour ago and yāall were chatting then
you love it
oops
all good man I do it all the time as well š¤£
I kind of want Cera keys
But idk
I feel like I wouldn't like super smooth keycaps
I've never tried smooth caps but plan on getting POM blanks soon
my friend has them and liked them a lot when he got them but a month in and not so much anymore
I like the sound, but I don't think I'd like the feel
āToo slipperyā he said
Although they look very good
they look fantastic
I don't think cera keys would be good for gaming which is why I don't get them
Hm, that's exactly what I thought they'd be like thank you for saving me 200$
If I was rich enough for a second keyboard just for typing, id pickup Cera keys
to be fair, he games a lot, competitively so I can imagine ceras with sweat being nearly unusable
Yeah I play competitively (although less now) on fps so I likely wouldn't like them
But God damn do they ever look amazing
Aesthetics and functionality rarely go hand in hand. So just get 2 keyboards lmao
The 60he seems to be a very good balance of the two
Which usually is quite rare
Although I have 0 experience with customs
The 60he has a very nice typing feel
true, the 60he is very close to perfection of both worlds but not quite there yet
Poseidon GH60, I think that's the name and is pretty cheap
have you tried it?
Stock itās good but sound and switch wobbleness is not great
Certainly more fps oriented than typing, but it certainly provides a good experience for anyone not accustomed to custom keyboards
Lubing fixed the sound for me, although they do have a fair amount of wobble yeah
its 80$ tho
No but there's a few on the #1070668460905988106 channel, perhaps ask those dudes. I'm sure it's decent for what you pay
Oh damn. I swear it was cheaper than that
its 80$ atleast on aliexpress :(
There are a few far better switches than the lekkers and more to come in the future
I wonder if they have boxing day sales, certainly keep an eye out
Does anyone know if the Gateron Jades and the Gateron 2.0s are the same switch?
Yeah I can't wait for more 60he compatible switches to come out
the G Pros?
The ones in the ATK68
I debated about picking up some raptors but I think I'm gonna wait for a lot more options to come out
https://gmkkeycap.com/product/130-keys-gmk-the-first-love-large-set-japanese-english-custom-keycap/ anyone knows if these are trust worthy/works with wooting ?
Just so I can really pick and choose what I want
I doubt it
Yeah just wait 6 months
2.0ās also being used in the new keychron HE
So much tech I wanna buy, such little money to do it with
i think they r clones but they should work in wooting
real
I wanna mod my 60he, + I want a ulx
I wouldnāt buy raptors, their tolerances are better than the lekker for sure but the Gateron Jades sound A LOT better.
My wallet ain't ready for it
I have Jades on the way so I'll do some sound test for you guys
Yeah I seen some people saying they weren't entirely worth it yet
Damn they're pretty pricey for clones
ššš donāt buy the ulx yet wait for finalmouse to fix their sh.t
But at the same time they're the only purple keycaps i could find
Oh dw I am
Purple keycaps are so rare dawg
I'm waiting for at least 10 batches
Finalmouse QC is sad
When finalmouse gets QC in check
I shall acquire a ulx large
And hopefully the shape isn't too skinny
im excited to hear yalls sound tests
GMK has plenty
Also last question i also wanna get a coiled cable and i found a epomaker one, is epomaker any good in term of cables ?
this is so cool lowkey
You heard the ATK68 sound test? It sounds really good.
It's kinda neat for sure
bc ik gateron is releasing a couple new he switches soon
but idk if anyone has them yet
besides the jades which r already our
out
yea
Yeah
Straight Cables >
Yeah thats it
Personally I think straight are better
Straight is just cleaner imo
My cable is just a sleek black cable that came with my lamzu mice
Works great, looks clean
Also i want a coiled cable cuz i can also easily find a purple coiled cable
I don't have a problem with coiled tho but I prefer straight

if u want one that will guarenteed work with wooting and their tachyon mode then wokting makes coiled cables
Oh ong ?
My mouse cable works with tachyon on 100% brightness
Any high quality cable will work
Thing is, it says the ATK68 has the Gateron 2.0s which arenāt listed on Gateronās Store. I donāt know if the Jades and 2.0s are the same switch
all your cables are weak, enter the cucumber
from yesterday lmao
That's a chunky boy
Oh yeah they're cool
For such a thin cable tooš¤£
this was actually a good typing test video
Sounded good
Only problem is that i would love a purple coiled cable to matxh the rest of my dream keyboard
Oh well
Also what the hell is the real gmk keycaps site theres like 30 of them i have no idea which is the real one
This is the new dual rail switch
her builds are generally pretty good overall
I ordered both the ATK68 and the Jades. Itād be awesome if theyāre different.
They are
in the video the switches look purple
so probably the 2.0s
If this is the stock switch that he showed in that video, these are not Jades
these are the new dual rail HE switches
That I didnāt understand when watching. Where the fk is the magnet at? šš Is it high up?
the jades sound deeper then the ones in the atk68 imo
Thats what im questioning right now
Lemme look further into it
Hahaha
Iāll see when I get them
I bought the atk in hopes the switches were different
and Iāll check compatibility with the 60he when I get it
i think ill wait for gateron to release the rest of their he switches which hopefully shouldnt take too long and then ill make a decision
do we know if the dual rails even work w wooting yet
all we know is jades work right
just wait till more sound tests pop up in this discord
I kind of doubt it as it looks like the magnet is not at all in the same location as in the lekkers
but Iāll see
yea thats what i was thinking
I should get it Jan 21st
if it turns out the dual rails dont work then ill just get the jades
bc they sound great from what ive heard so far
Thing with the jades is
their bottom is closed
so you get 0.1-3.5 mm
travel
I donāt think it matters much but their could be some compromises I havenāt thought of
You wouldn't be able to properly use dks
Because you can't adjust the bottom out and it's 3.6mm
Aaaaah i cant find french keycaps seller
I think if those switches are different from Jades and compatible with most HE keyboards on the market Gateron wouldāve already put them up for sale but they havenāt..
Good point
im out here debating if i wanna drop 100 on a tofu redux and weight
2,0ās look fire
i feel like i have no rush rn since they keyboard wont get here tll next month
I wouldn't get the weight just to save money
at that point do you think the wooting weight would be worth it
I send Gateron a dm on their store, when they reply Iāll let u know
I asked the difference and compatibility of the two(?) switches
Wooting weight?
I gotta find cool purple keycaps that'll fit with the wooting and ship to france why am i making this harder for myself
Itās more about aesthetics than weight
i really just want something firm and hefty on my desk lowkey
i like the feel of it
Good luck mate, finding the keycaps you want is always hard asf
Nah save that money for the shipping instead. Stock Tofu heavy enough
If you like the look of both the tofu and the alumaze just get the cheaper one, both will be firm on your desk.
US store but you might like
@torn summit
and for EU Oblotzky has GMK purple colours
Oooooh i like that
Yah, Novelkeys has sales often too, so maybe wait post christmas
Actual lifesaver omg
dks?
itās such an underrated feature but itās not quite out of the āgimicā zone yet
Oh my days cherry taro looks so cool š»
I didn't really like the blue/yellow accent on some keys but apparently they're separate
The base is just black and purple
I have their Stone keycaps, definitely good quality imo
I now have the absolute perfect keyboard build in mind
Wooting 60he with tofu60 redux (the pre-order purple one not the ecoating purple) and cherry taro
Just need to save up and overtime it'll come together
did you order the preorder case yet
pre order case?
Nope im a minor and i use my allowance to buy things for my setup and right now i dont have the money to buy the case
Im going to do it another day if stocks last
very valid i wish you the best of luck saving up my goat i know your setup will look sick
Also keychron got really cheap coiled cable holy
Thank you so much man, I cant wait to have my endgame setup š
Infinity war setup
be sure to share pictures once you get it all setup looking forward to it š¤
Are we?
I'm definitely gonna be making updates everytime i get a new piece for my setup man š¤
We are so excited!
So true
Yo guys Iām comparing two different types of switches that I barely lubed differently, I want it sound like the L, anyone know why it sounds so clicky?
Is it the spring?
To confirm, are you wanting to sound more āthockyā rather than āclackyā?
yes
Spring has nothing to do with it in this case. What switches are in it? The lekkar switch?
yes
Gotcha, what plate do you have, case and caps?
The plate along with foam will make the most noticeable difference. You can test different foams to increase the āthockā sound instead of having it clack
Just the stock steel plate from wooting as well the. I assume?
the majority of the kb is thocky
yes
im trying to unlube it and relube it but im not sure why that switch is so clacky
a couple of others are like that too
Got it, if youāre really chasing a thockier sound I would recommend to get some foams inside the PCB to help deepen the sound. Getting the new polycarbonate plate from wooting will also help deepen the sound. Your gmk keycaps along with case will help keep things solid so those are good choices
The lube can also help but this keyboard naturally sounds higher pitched and I assume itās from the lekkar switches. Unfortunately thereās not that much else you can do but people on here have managed to get it to sound deep and thocky. You can also try checking #1070668460905988106 for suggestions
no i get that
but im saying its just a switch or two that are clacky
i wanna know how i have to lube them to make them thocky
theyre not consistent
YouTube guide
where
YouTube
okay then dont respond lmao
listen find me a video and send it then for my specific case
Find it for ur specific case itself
yeah, i cant idiot
@silver pecan starting at 12:10 he goes over a sound test. The sound will likely not change that much but he also has a tofu redux here for reference https://youtu.be/511O9X1C1Zo?si=qkJKv4-eV_HNOKkq

https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL2ckcOOnFvxQpFUE1z_f3axp6h6fz3TwV&si=CicWD9BDFgPOiSgT
obviously it isnt dumbass
Then solve it
ive already seen this
u dont understand bro, my keyboard is thocky, its just like 4 switches that sound completely different. my question is how cna i lube the switches to make them more thocky instead of clacky
Find a guide
like what part of the switch needs to be lubed more
bro get off ur phone lmao
The part that is clacky
I see. Perhaps those switches are near one of the stand offs. This can impact sound signature since wooting has more of them on the plate itself
either have some meaningful input or just dont
what?
Just some thoughts to consider. If you have extra switches you can replace them and see if that changes the sound. Like take your āAā switch and put it into the switch that sounds clackier and see if that changes it or if the sound stays the same
you can not make a switch go thock with lube. try to get a pc plate. thats the only thing that works
then why do some switches sound different than the others
like completely different
i dont know
i dont think u guys get what im asking, lemme phrase it better sorry
The stand offs in referring to are here
There may be a stand off offs near those higher pitched switches youāre experiencing. Just something to consider
most of my switches sound good and they sound deep, but there are a couple that are like very loud. this is because i lubed them differently. all i wanna know is how i can lube them to make them sound less clacky in the video i sent, like quieter. where do i have to put the lube, the housing, stem, spring? where should i lube more
no thats not it
thats not the issue man
the issue is the switch
its the switch, i just wanna know how to lube it to make it sound less loud
like the video i sent
it has nothing to do with the case the keycaps nothing its the switch
all i wanna know is where to lube more on the switch
How many mm is the poron plate foam?
Got it, you can mess around with the lubing process and line these parts here
Be mindful of the amount of lube added but these parts can help deepen the sound signature a bit. It may not make a large difference though. Itās worth a shot if youāre chasing the deeper sound
already tried that, maybe its because its hard to unlube it so it sounds worse each time i relube?
How did you unlube? Iāve unlubed all my switches in the past using a very light amount of hand soap and that helped remove most of it
Yeah it helps remove the lube in certain spots
You can also use a Q tip to help remove the more difficult to reach spots
can i just take apart the switch and wash it with soap
and water
You can try but these switches are slightly difference from regular mechanical switches. The main part is the stem that will have the most amount of the lube.
so then what should i do instead
Iām not sure if this would impact the magnet here if rinsing with light water. If anyone wants to chip in here for help
Oh perfect. Maybe just swap it out and see if that makes any difference as well
swap what out
In the past Iāve had switches noticeably clackier than other switches. Could be a bad batch
The switches
bro no lol its just how i lubed it. thats all
i lubed it wrong
it has nothing to do with the batch
i underlubed some parts of the switch
Gotcha, then re-lubing another switch can also be a solution
Makes sense. Iād probably go that route. Otherwise you can try cleaning/re-lubing the higher pitched switches to just test it out
Since you have spares^
Yeah for sure. Feel free to keep us updated. Curious if it will make a noticeable change as well
If you're interested. GMK Vaporwave is up for pre order as well. Has a purple theme
Oh i see what you mean
ive had that issue a few times
It might've been inconsistent lubing
you can just relube the whole switch properly (Lube every part of the switch if you're concerned)
Over time the lube will break just like every other switch
To be fair, they are very similarly priced when ordering the module. The discount you get makes the alumaze less than the Tofu60 (with brass weight)
tofu looks extremely basic
alumaze has the strap
only thing i dislike about the alumaze is the accent, i wish they had multiple colors for it
yeah just go for looks @marsh saffron
Agreed. Not a fan of gold
Doesnāt match anything of mine
i wouldnt compare the material quality when comparing as they are both really good
but when it comes to you and your setup
looks is key
so if you want a alumaze
then get a alumaze
š
maybe in the future we get some more options :^
that would be cool
@fluid ravine if you were to choose between the 2, would you go for alumaze or tofu redux?
damn dont do me like that š
Honestly like both
I dont mind either one tbh
But for whats worth my money and all
id buy tofu
alumaz is thinner , lighter and has brass accent for strap which is ugly for me
me probably tend more to minimal aesthetic
alumaze only make sense with heavy discount or cheaper MSRP
i remember when alumaze reveal lol
was underwhleming
wooting gonna make $$ anyway, look at module price
cant wait till custom scene release HE pcb with good software
and it will be the time for wooting to step up thier game
I can agree with that. But the tofu does have a higher type angle which steered me away
Iāll likely end up getting both and sell the one Iām not into as much š¤·āāļø
whats the degree?
To think someone was actually hired to design a wedge shape and pay top dollar is pretty hilarious. Yeah minimalism and all that but it's fucking basic
Yeah excited to see that as well but wooting is still miles ahead of any other company right now. May not see these for a while
Alumaze 4°
Tofu Redux 7°
whats the angles with the other feets on the alumaze
7° is usually what some gaming keyboards use for max height. It seems quite steep
Alumaze goes up to I believe 7.5°
really...
wait hold on
lemme check smth
Holding
damn
i use to have the hyperx origin 60
that shi has 3, 7, 11 degrees
i remember using the 11
Don't worry about the angle, arthiritis doesn't kick in till you're 80 years old
chad
i would go 7.5 no problem
69 even
Yeah gotcha. For sure a preference thing. But no doubt the tofu offers much better bang for buck with the added weight and reduced price
Typing angle is more of a priority to me though so who knows. Iāll eventually try both out
@fluid ravine are you still using stock wooting case? Or do you have something else?
Tirade gifted me a GH60 Alu case
Iāve used them in the past but didnāt like it. Once I removed it I never went back. Looks way cleaner without a wrist rest too
Tofu V1 clone
Wow tirade is awesome for that. Huge respect
yep
we love pops :)
Soon he'll be tired of his Derivative kb and it'll be all yours

It's all about giving
What are the main games most of the wooting owners play here?
depend on front height and keycap
Cherry profile
for my finger 5.5 is a bit too low
my fonger need a bit ti reach
8 degree make it peefect
like no need to move finger
Hmm gotcha, didn't think about that. I have long fingers so maybe that wouldn't help lol
if you search on internet
0 or negative is best
i cant imagine negative angle like typing down the hill lol
FPS. Mostly modern and retro boomer shooters.
Some CS although not much since 2 is kinda meh still.
Gotcha that makes sense
CS2
properly?
im gonna try and overlube them a bit
whats a part of the switch that i def should not overlube
stem?

guys is getting the brass plate from kdbfans worth it if i already tapemodded it
also, when handlubing the springs, should i be lubing the inide of it or just the outside
honestly looks so cool but 165 euros holy
7 is not very high
iirc most gamer boards go up to 12
7 is extremely comfortable to type on
if you dont like it, bumpons exist
To have a more 'Thock' sound, which mods I'll need to do to the stock 60he?
Wood/Aluminum Tofu case? The new Gateron V2 HE jade switches? Lubbing and O-Rings? Maybe the FR4 plate and poron?
btw guys every wooting features works no matter the cable right ? I'm looking to get a keychron coiled cable or something like that but i'm scared some features wont work properly with cheaper cables
Get the pc plate, add foam, and case is up to you
Switches dont really make difference, but idk about HE switches
Lubing helsps
So does switching for a thick pbt keycap set or cerakey
https://www.reddit.com/r/WootingKB/comments/18p4yd4/magnetic_jade_switch_sound_testing/ the new switches does have difference compared to the stock lekker switches ngl
Tachyon may not work
tachyon is like the no rgb gamer mode right ?
well obvs
idk
But turn rgb to 70% or below and you will be fine
yeah i dont really if theres like a .1ms difference between tachyon and normal i wont feel it
as long as rapid trigger works i'll be fine
from wooting site "Tachyon mode is a special mode that lowers the input latency to <1ms"
Yeah raptors are better, my problem with them is that they aren't compatible with mx profiles, also they are worse for rgb if you care about that. Obviously the stronger magnet might also make things more difficult to adjust and lead to errors
They say they've tested them enough on the wooting and that they are about 0,2mm stronger than the wooting, so if you want a 0,1 mm input you have to set the wooting software to 0,3
wooting has dead zone anyway
probably wont matter much
Raptor is best for now
until i get new jade
but Raptor price still better than Jade
wdym by not compatible with mx profile?
Cherry mx
Oh ok
they state that because they also have MX raptor
light and low travel linear switch for conventional pcb
Also what are the jade switches called?
Gateron
Keyboard: Wooting 60 HE
Case: KBDfans TOFU 60 Redux w/brass weight
Plate: KBDfans FR4 plate
Switches: Gateron Magnetic Jade switch
Other mods:
lubed stabilizers
3 layers of tape mod
burger mount
Wooting stock case foam inside
They are very new not easy to find videos on them
Yeh few people have ordered them from here so should be more sound tests in a couple weeks
Im more concerned how compatible they are with the wooting
50 packs sold from the website
So few people bought them
Also they are selling those on AliExpress
⢠Operation Force: 30±7gf
⢠Total Travel: 3.5±0.2mm
⢠Initial magnetic flux: 120±15Gs
⢠Bottom-out magnetic flux: 800±80Gs
⢠Pre Travel: Freely setting
The 3.5 instead of 4.0 from Lekker maybe it's an issue
DKS wonāt work
But obviously, a closed switchās sound profile is vastly different from an open one.
The soundtest Iāve heard sounds great but I donāt trust it. As I would expect an open switch to blast more sound into the well dampened case whereas the closed switch would reflect more outwards towards the user.
For those concerned about the compatibility it should still work just instead of being able to set the switch to 4mm you can only go to 3.5mm so unless you just really want that extra .5 mm of distance than itās not an issue
not how this works.
theres a magnetic flux curve the firmware expects and with the specs gateron gives you can have wildly different results at almost +-100Gs of travel end flux
thats basically like 3.x to 4mm of magnetic flux (our switches are 900Gs when fully pressed)
so im not sure if they just didnt have a good testing setup or something but the range is quite large
Whatās the initial magnetic flux?
As long as you set the active point to being before 3.5 mm shouldnāt it still perform correctly
our initial flux should be around 100 i believe
depends. if you get the 800Gs spot on yes
otherwise itll thing you pressed slightly lower/higher despite you bottoming out at 3.5mm
we can accomodate a different starting flux it just gets out of hand when the endflux isnt as expected
while it may have changed with simons scanning improvements we dont do dynamic bottom out force detection and if we did this problem would be even worse
So it doesn't seem like a good idea to put the new Gateron jade switches, unless there is some more testing around them
@austere creek Ive been traveling for Christmas but was going to comment on this as well. One thing people don't seem to consider is that while the PCB will calibrate during power-on, that calibration is still based on a switches that fall within a pretty tight range/tolerance/measurements.
So HE switches arenāt like PokĆ©mon then?
I mean that doesnt mean I wont test them out for science...
We thinking housing or stem might have bigger impact?
idk
My job with stabilizers is done for today
My back is hurting but it worth the job i have done
If your back is hurting after doing stabs, you're doing it wrong
no i was just sitting in a uncomfortable position
for the first time in my life i was modding something in a mechanical keyboard and it took me literally an hour to mod it, i was messing up everything but anyways i finished and im glad of the result
Good morning and happy holidays everyone
Yes they are
I need them all
From the guy who made the video, dunno how ārightā he is but Iām testing them out myself anyway this week
can you still lube the l45's or should you not overlube
you can still lube the 45s
just simple test
Case - Tofu60 Redux
Pcb - Wooting60HE
Plate - PC
Keycaps - PBT
Mic & cam - IPhone11
#RaptorSwitch #wooting60he #TofuRedux #L60
Yeah Iāve already done that but whatās the point of sending me that lol? We were talking about the magnetic Jade switches
How they compare to these frankenswitches is yet to be seen
Ah okay I get what youāre tryna say
Yeah I have the raptors and have done various test with them
Should get the jades this week and will do more test
If you could compare them once the jade ones arrive
Yeah definitely
Thx
Yeah Iām using the Lekktor 45ās rn. Curious about these jades and the gateron 2.0
At least I still think those two are diff
yoooo hello everyone so I just got my wooting 60he and I decided to mod it and it was the very first time that I have done done this and overall it is amazing and turned out great but I ran into a couple of problems and I was wondering if anyone could help me with them
#1 I accidentally broke the stabs for the spacebar which is not a massive deal but I was wondering if I could buy a replacement for them or something like that
Yes any plate mount stabs should do.
#2 I am using the kbd fans tofu 60 redux and I got the carbon fiber plate to go with it and it looks amazing but I realized that the screws the screw from the bottom if the pcb don't crew into anything so I didn't put them in so I don't have anything holding the mount and the pcb together so I was wondering if I should get some washers to help hold them together or something like that
do you have any recs for brands or a website I should get them from
Yeah I think Iām gonna have to pick up some PCB mount clip ins so I can still gummy mount it when module comes
#3 I was using a tiny hand held screw driver that I had laying around and it killed my hands so I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get a good one because it took me over 2 hours trying to do the burger mount which I finally did but holy I do not recommend if you do not have the right supply's
Personally I use an Ifixit kit for everything
There are also some electronic ones you could use that would prob help too
Same here.. Iām pretty sure Iāll be getting some AP Tx stabs since everyone recommends them. I just need to find a place where they sell the O Rings in Europe cuz keebcats.eu isnāt restocking anytime new until they prob get a new owner to take over
I just looked those up one of those kits have everything in them I am probably going to get one because if I am going to do anything else to this thing that will 100% help
Amazon has some. Just search for plate mount stabilizers. Durock is the closest match to the stock ones.
ok thx
Yeah they got all the bits you will ever need. Also got good warranty on the bits and you can use it for everything
for new stabs would cherry stabs work or would I have to get a certain kind
What is better for sound the redux case or the alumaze?
I would say it is all preference so if I were you I would go on youtube and watch some videos with sound test
thing is the alumaze is 37 bucks more expensive
the only thing thats holding me back from getting the alumaze is the fact that the redux comes w a weight
An extra 200g really isn't worth it imo. I'd gladly melt mine and turn it into a Shoehorn
yeah 200g is a little under half a pound, not much really
Basically 30g more than a modern iPhone
You're just putting an iPhone in your keeb
i actually didnt know that ty fellas
they really charging 25 dollars for the weight so i didnt know if it was worth it
If you want the xtra weight later just get something like this https://www.amazon.com/CKAuto-Adhesive-Weights-EasyPeel-Motorcycles/dp/B085L74KS4/ref=sxin_14_pa_sp_search_thematic_sspa
CKAuto brand Low Profile Adhesive Wheel Weights-Grey, U.S.standard and high quality is guaranteed. Providing safe tire system and safe driving. lead-free U.S. Premium adhesive wheel weights; CK U.S. made UltraStick white tape; CK EasyPeel makes the removal process more efficient Designed segments...
would look like this with the weights
Well tungsten is twice as heavy as brass so whatever the brass weight is x2 if you fill the whole cavity
is this the tofu redux case?
Thats the Tofu v1 so not the redux, but its the same concept. The battery compartment is shaped a little smaller on the redux I believe
Brass is 545lbs per cubic foot where as tungsten is 1205lbs per cubic foot
Tirade knows the way
so id pretty much be filling in this part with the tungsten things
Im just old and have done a lot of the tricks lol
Bros Master Splinter of Keebs
I think I still have that purple tofu somewhere
Notice the sweet LED heat marks from years of use lol
Lmao I couldnāt tell if thatās what that was or if it was reflection of ceiling lights
No shot those weights are tungsten
I think those exact ones are steel but they do make both. Tungsten just more expensive
so what do the weights do? Just absorb more sound in the case?
They add weight
yeah but why add weight
Some people want their keebs to also be a dumbbell
ah ok, workouts at desk. Understandable.
Basically
I think it can alter sound slightly but I think that has more so to do with leaving that space empty where the weight goes rather than the actual weight of the keeb itself changing the sound
ic
i really just want a solid feeling keyboard on my desk
@harsh dove forgot to tell you I did try the vertical monitor orientation but it was just too big. So I took off the left monitor and replaced it with a smaller one and I'm trying it out now.
What size was the ātoo bigā one? And yeah sometimes I feel that way too with my 27ā
Tbh mine feels fine in person, just in photos it looks too big lol
I probably wouldnāt mine a 24ā or something
I had 2 x 27" before, this is what I'm trying now
It's a 16" turned vertically
Ah so one 27ā was horizontal and one vertical?
Yeah that's what I tried and it was too big
Yeah I could see that
Monitors look really clean
With not having a bigger main monitor
Probably why mine feels a bit more natural with the Ultrawide as my main
The size of the 16 makes it look really cool
But even so I think itād be better if I had a 24ā or even a 16ā like you have
Loving the tube art mouse mat
Wish I could get something a little wider, like a 4x3 turned vertically instead of a 16x9 or 16x10
I love this. Nice
Yeah thatād be cool
I have a 24ā and a 27ā but just leave my 27ā unplugged honestly
Thanks! It's made by a friend of mine. This was the wildflowers one he made in B&W. I also own the color version.
24 22 is what Iām rocking
Was also going to ask, is that a LP case?
And thatās super dope that a friend made that
He has made 4 so far. There is an IC up for the next one if you're interested. I own them all and love them, especially if you like control style pads. https://forms.gle/RWnDvwTY5Yap1ZED8

Yo anyone knows french reseller for kdbfans ? (More precisely french resellers for the tofu60 redux)
maxgaming
Old but wise
Oh wow theres such a big difference in price
74 euros on maxgaming compared to almost a 100 on official site
Only problem is there are no stock of the tofu60 redux on maxgaming but i guess it'll stock up one day
its not a 100 on official site? its just expensive shipping
can also check their ali expresss website
if anything maxgaming is more expensive, its ā¬65, wheras KBDfans is 59 USD, which is like ā¬53
Yeah i meant with taxes and shipping its around 100 dollars but on maxgaming its directly 65 euros and then normal shipping
Then last problem after that is the gpx vs sora4k debate i have with myself
is the tofu60 worth it for the wooting?
haha yeah.... thats redux + weight
Its all preference, but the common opinion seems to be thats its a good case for good value
Theyāre up there for preorder afaik
Also that price doesnāt include the weight
aliexpress has some too
link?
Problem with the tofu seems to be shipping
And honestly after checking out a few videos i think i prefer the alumaze
i had no problems with shipping
aside from the price obviously
If you're getting a wooting module+ the alumaze is pretty worth it
Yeah that's what i meant
you can find coupon codes to make the price cheaper too on aliexpress
i brought it down 12 bucks
Nothing on french aliexpress
Just gonna trust maxgaming
I tried lubing the L45 for the first time and they feel and sound so good!
ngl for a sec I thought you weren't typing and just pretending to type
cause I couldn't hear anything
Merry Christmas guys
I mean thats pretty cool but to be 100% honest im changing the case purely for aesthetics i dont care for rhe sounds
I wasn't posting that in regards to sounds. I was posting in regards to price, as I saw you guys comparing the tofo redux
I was comparing to this
Merry Christmas!
Do i need 6.25u or 7u stabs if i want to replace the stabs of my 60HE? :o
6.25
Thanks
what could be in the box š¤
hmmm i wonder what that box full of white is
seems like it says
UFOT
UFO!!!!!!!
AAAAAAAAAAAAA
gleep glorp
You have Strong mental, I opened my tofu shit right away then cried on this discord that wooting still had my module and money
whats funny is that to my knowledge they dont have your module
well real happy with it honestly
worth the wait
waited 24 days
and installed it in 10mins

If i use gummy o ring will it sound even on all the keyboard? You know how it sounds uneven cause of the screws?
Hi, I've been a bit out of the loop with all the new HE switches coming out. I want to try a switch a bit lighter than the L60s (around 50 grams would be sweet spot). I can't get the L45s since I live in pakistan and shipping would probably cost more than the switches. Are the Raptor HEs any good and do they require any recalibration or something if I put them in the wooting 60HE?
those and the gaterons are available on aliexpress but the gaterons are both like 30g force
Raptors work fine, you need to set your sensitivity a tiny bit lower is the only thing
The gaterons seem to work fine too but I donāt believe anyone in here has tested it as theyāre brand new
hmm so i'll have to adjust the actuation point and rapid trigger actuation a bit?
Just actuation
Like I was on 0.1 wasd but Iām on 0.3 now with raptors because theyāre more sensitive
alright. thank you! Also are you using the stock case with the raptors? how's the sound/feel?
If you search raptors here youāll find a bunch of videos from folks in here, sound and feel is improved because they remove the plastic chatter sound
Some have modded raptors too by putting in their lekker switch stem for an even tighter fit
thank you!
@harsh dove š¤
What's this?
dieelctric
depends on stabs tho
if the tolerances are tight, 205g0
if loose, dielectric
Should I keep the poron foam between the pcb and the plate if I do gummy oring mount?
This the Tofu Redux? What coupon was used? š®
No this is the Alumaze with the 15% Discount
woop woop my kat keycaps came in xD
Someone here has used them
oh who? I know a few ordered but didn't see anyone in here with them already
Mod list ??? Thocky asf
Personally i can get a redux for 77 euros š
WTF the best sounding wooting Iāve ever heard ngl !!!!???! How ?!!
iāve got tofu65 for my other modded kb that i made and was wondering to order tofu 60 for my wooting kb when it arrives, does it fit fine for the pcb?
Tofu 60 fits the Wooting. Tofu 2.0 does not.
And ideally tufo60 redux
noooo!! š„² i was thinking to get tofu 2.0 (since tofu out of stock) - you got any recommendations that looks like tofu60 and fits well with the plate?
Tofu redux as Squid suggests
tofu60 redux, okay!
It's the tofu 60 but a new version
will look into it - thank you!
The tofu60 1.0 isnāt made anymore but the redux is
omg thank you!!! iāll purchase this one now thanks both @bronze grove @formal comet š
It's probably because of the keycap profile and material lol
also - i know it comes pre lubed, but would u recommend re-lubing it? i have spare krytox here and was wondering if i should lube and tape it
Hand lubing switches always worth
Not always
cheap XDA syesub set
but sound ok
for me, XDA is harder to use in high typing angle case
idealy usage peobably ortho board
not if the lube job is already perfect
hmx hyacinths, invokeys matcha lattes, gat summertimes, stuff like that dont need relubing
but lekkers, yeah re lube is good
Merrrrry Chrysler friends
yeah the wooting when it arrives but i was thinking to use it stock for now to see how its like without it
id re lube them
it made a world of a difference for me
thank you! will do
how did u get it to sound like that
sounds better irl but still kinda mid lol
spent a weekend stem swapping my raptors
yo guys i want to buy the tofu redux case for my wooting 60he but before i buy it. it shows me thease options. which boxes do i tick if i want it to work for my wooting 60 he. i will keep the switches in.
if ur not swapping your switches don't tick any box
not sure what's being asked tbh
you dont need to tick any switches for it to work with the 60HE
u mean like what am i asking? i just mean like what do i tick here if i dont want to switch the switches
and do i need the brass weight?
yeah then just don't tick anything
you dont need the weight either, its just for if you want a heavier board, with a slighlty different sound
i personally did go with the weight
but it says "add a compatible plate for the wooting 60he"
thats just if you want to swap the default plate for another one
not needed either
oh so i should not tick them right? it will still work?
they're just accessories so you should be fine with adding nothing
you can just get the case by itself and that would be enough if you want
oh okay good. and lastly i want to also get a coiled white cable but i want to get a good one so there is no delays. do you know any? i was thinking the glorius ones
wooting will release a white coiled cable soon, but i dont know the exact date for when it releases
but those are the only ones that are guaranteed to work with tachyon mode and 100% RGB, others might work. but cant be sure
oh okay so i can wait for that right? do u think its gonna sell out instantly or nah
no, probably wont sell out. the other colours have been in stock pretty much constantly
and final thing
Features: Brand new and high quality High-quality material dye-Sublimation- PBT keycaps with anti-grease coating, These keycaps provide top-notch durability and comfortable touch- for your typing. less prone to grime buildup. The five-sided Dye-Sublimation- technology made the color has penetrate...
im gonna get this for now
will it work
should work
sure, i havent swapped my case yet, but i can send a pic
and how can i get notifed when the white one comes out?
they will probably just put it in announcements
how useful is that arm rest
oh alrighty
i like it, otherwise i tended to float my arm, which isnt good. and it is pretty comfortable with it being silicone
is it worth the price
probably, since it is silicone you can just wash it pretty easily, and it wont break.
oh okay and did u switch ur switches or are they the same. same thing with ur case if u dont mind
still on stock case, since i stripped one of the screw i havent been able to get it out of the stock case, but what im gonna do is switch to the Tofu60 Redux with weight, change the Alu plate to the polycarb wooting sells and use L45 switches, i am currently using L45's on WASD ,but i am gonna do them on all keys
oh okay and for the case ur gonna tick only the brass weight right no need for the rest
yup, just the case and the weight
and when i was looking in the other channel
i saw this
"Module delayed two weeks due to CS being swamped with tickets"
does that mean the keyboard is bad
or what
because i just orderd it
i think that is refering to the 60HE+ Module, which is the seperatly sold module which doesnt come with case, switches or keycaps. its just the PCB and the PC plate
it shouldnt be bad, it is pretty much just the internals from the 60HE, just for enthusiast who want to swap other components
i orderd one aswell
sure
did you get L60 or L45 switches with the module tho? cause otherwise you wont have any
i got 45
L45*
no ok, thats good
i was watching a sound test and i prefer them more
i have creams in my current keyboard maybe i can sell them
i spent alot on it
the new L45 and L60 should sound pretty much the same, they are the same except for the spring
euhm no, im not really familliar with what the best monitors are
these go on here right? for the alumaze case
You put them where the case screws go through into the case.
On the PCB on the side you're showing*
They help dampen the vibrations a bit.
Two on either end and optional one on spacebar
whats that in english terms (ive never done anything with a keyboard š)
Merry Christmas my modding channel family!
all cables will have "delays"
also avoid glorious. their qc and cs are horrible
cablemod best cables
underneath the screwholes
do i wait for the wooting white one
sure
better wattage
or whatever thats called
wooting cable can transfer more power than other coiled cables
so are wired kbs bad?
what
are keyboads with wire bad then
;.
your monitor and pc also have delays which are unavoidable
everything has a delay
just some less noticable
for example a wired keyboard is faster than a wireless one
so what do i do
but you wont notice that 2ms
MONKE š
if you care about delays its time to quit gamering
no
.
i meant for less
wired is faster than wireless
just because something has delays doesnt mean its bad

tbf tho, nowadays that difference is not at all noticable on most equipment
exactly
these ones right?
unless keychron

yep
alr tysm
its almost midnight
You can match up the screw holes in the case with the PCB
Iām using alumaze with extra pe foam under the pcb. Also I removed plate foam. Other than that I didnāt really do anything special
I lubed bottom housing, spring, and stem
Yeah I can get one for $75 lol, thatās not what Iām pointing out. Iām comparing cost of the Alumaze with discount vs a tofu with the brass weight. I know you can get a tofu cheaper lol..
can u send a link to the foam u use
Always
you going for that one?, anodized mocha looks dope af
Nah , I donāt need or want one
Was just tryna show comparison
š¢
zamn
Nah tofu is cool
me with 2 tofu cases at home š„¶
I just got it out of an old box
Itās thin white pe foam
Maybe like 0.5mm
I kinda want a tofu case, i didnt know about them before
If I was gonna get a mocha color , Iād probably get these though
Or something similar
is there a big different between alumaze and tofu60?
The width and the strap?
can i wear my wooting on my wrist with the strap
Typing angle is 7 degrees on the redux which is higher than the alumaze
On the contrary.
That is interesting, i also like the WOB with gold cyrilic that KBD used in promo images
Alumaze does come with swappable feet though, I donāt know that the Tofu does
It doesnt, it has those long strips at the bottom
As the feet
Yeah I didnāt think so
You have OPTIONS
nah it doesnt
Right yeah
alumaze does come with feet?
Yes
i tought so
Tbh as someone with a desk that isnāt 100% fully straight the long strips under the tofu are a downside
Depending on orientation it wobbles sometimes
that is unfort
unfort
unate
Got the parts to mod my keyboard for Christmas
whats the diference between wooting 60he and the module 60he+
One is a 60HE. The other is a 60HE... barebones.
And the Module has screw in stabs instead of plate mounted stabs.
(Scroll down and read the module page. It has plenty of comparisons)

okay i get it lemme read the module page
i hate how my coiled cables always has that tilt
so the 60he have plate mounted stabilizers thzat can't be screwed out?
but can we still greace these
60HE plate mount only.
60he Module either, comes with screw in preinstalled.
can the 60he+ module take in clipins?
okay, gotcha HAHA im kinda dumb when it comes to the stabs

honestly thought that the plate mounted could only take clipins, while the screw in ones could take both š«¢
does buying 4 keyboards pay for the thousands of braincells of yours i just straight up murdered xD
I would have a bit more patience and see what the 29th comes out
maybe you will like it
if you say it that way it must be the 75% eh
but question, are 60% or 75% more popular
60% is more customizable, 75% is quite popular and so is TKL it all depends on one's use case
I cant say anything about that, good luck.
but still really excited about those upcoming spring packs
I went from 96% -> 75% -> 60%
wonder if wooting is gonna come up with their own better versions of the lekker switches
yeah i could see that 60% is indeed more customizable
Still do have the 75% keeb & another 60%
But for me the 60HE has just been amazing still interested in what's going to be revealed on the 29th
I've got a Tofu60v1 Walnut & Alumaze case for the 60%
when i transitioned from full size kb to 60% i really missed the arrow keys and the fn keys
yeah forsure, pretty excited about it too
rip
The software has been amazing on the Wooting
if i fall in love with the new keyboard that comes out, id have to sell my current board/custom boards hoping the resell value is still high here
i appologize for their actions
I got some inside info from anders. He said it's a 69% keyboard for the memes
@fluid ravine yo thocc prince
What you get today
LMAO yikes
Merry Christmas brotha
not yet xD
What you mean not yet
wait whattt
What you think you got?
