Either way it probably wouldn't make much difference, the 8 standoff points on the PCB makes the plate quite rigid no matter what the plate material is. I learned this on Badseed's new video which makes sense in regard to the Wooting pcb

Alu would be more flexible on let's say a gasket or top mount, probably not by a geat deal though

Yes, this is certainly true but in the future I'm sure more plates will be released with optional stand offs that can be removed. But I was surpised to see brass was as stiff as alumimnum according to this chart. I too reviewed Badseed's new video that was released today. It's more impacting the sound signature over anything else

Well. I think the switch in itself (magnetic one) makes it so that you need the standoff to the plate. Making it quite stiff for a typing experience

If you want more flex maybe try an oring mount. Im prob gonna try that

Since I have not personally used it I can't confidently give you an answer but according to reviews it does change the acoustics of the keyboard a bit and supposed to make the typing feel a little bit softer which is much appreciated.

To picture an idea of the sound, it's supposed to sound deeper with the polycarbonate plate when compared to the steel plate option
