15mm thick main aluminium plate. so after machining surface, slightly under that. Only thick parts are brass but if it looks better flush we might have to make them deeper.

@mental hemlock you can assemble the screws and o-rings together first and then screw into the case. So take a screw and slide on an o-ring (or screw on an o-ring if its tight) then push that through the plate and the pCB so that the screw sticks out underneath. Now push or screw on the next o-ring. When all screws are done, slide the PCB into the case and tighten down the screws into the standoffs

sorry, not shown in that design currently as we are still doing PCB design. Basically we want to put a volume control (optional) in centre brass plate. its why it's so thick. Has USB-C socket from stock board in it, and volume control PCB on top

Problem is then two USB cords, or figuring if a good hub (and fitting it somewhere) can work with tachyon mode. for now we go two cables to get it out quicker to prototype stage while I'm still in EU. Two layers of the 60he foam and I wouldn't have been able to get the port to sit flush with the outlet

The tape goes on the top housing then into the internal of where the stem makes contacts with it.
"We" have tested putting like tape or bandaids in the bottom housing where the stem would bottom out, but the problem with that is it would make it REALLY mushy and it's also very tedious to do.

I will try to make a video soon of how to do it but @shell geode have made a yt vid on his mods including the switch tape mod.

Yeah the tedium is a pain. Do you know whether the switches need to be pretty clean (I.e. lube free) for the tape to stick? My original bottom out solution is failing on a few switches and I’m trying my hardest not to have to clean tons of switches lol
