I'm actually a fan of 4.5-6.5 degree cases so I think you're in the sweet spot. 7+ is too aggressive for me personally, it's why I no longer use the Tofu's or Klippes

What I didnt realize was when he gave it back to me is that the superglue was still wet but I didnt see it since it was dark
It was working a bit first, and then the stabs suddenly got stuck
That's when I found out that the superglue from the keycap seeped into the stab and now it's gonna be like that forever

I’m sure people use killmat, honestly most thin foams work good. Some people have even used desk mats, anything around 60g should be fine

Depends on the problem youre trying to solve. If you want to reduce hollowness, foaming/putty works well. If you have a ringing sound its likely the stabilizer wire. Make sure its straight and lube with a good dielectric grease

I made too many changes at once, and now I'm not sure what I don't like about my board.
I can't tell if it's the PC plate or the foam swap I did.
I had Kilmat+MLV layered, and swapped to Kilmat+Neoprene to reduce pressure on the backside of the PCB. Changed my springs to 45's, removed my TX Films, and then swapped to the PC plate + silicone dampening.
I think the TX films / springs change is fine. It's either the plate or the foam I don't like. I went from a very muted sound to a bit clacky.

ok heres the thing with wooting and tempest mod
the reason why it doesn't work is because of the stock plate which is made out of steel
steel plate i believe cancel out the reverberation which is what tempest if suppose to do
but what i found is that if you change up your mounting styles other from tray mount it should work
but its better to go with burger mount over tempest

still modding my friend's keyboard
So i prefer gasket mount over burger mount because it balances out the sound profile. Tray mount has an uneveness sound, the left side could be like deeper than the right or the other way around. Since I consistently mod a single keyboard i would need to take it out, so gummy oring made it more efficient for me. Personally in my own experience, for my board tray mount or burger mount gives me a hollow sound profile which i cant really fix so yeah.

Not really in my opinion. I was a little "mod fatigued" earlier today though after swapping out all my springs and messing with the plates.
I may do a little more testing tomorrow. I think I'm going to remove my MLV layer, and toss on a tempest tape mod with the PC plate and see how it sounds.
Right now I've got the steel plate + silicone dampening, and it sounds about the same as when I had the poron. Everything else is the same besides me swapping the springs for the L45's.

There was a strange "clicky" sound when the keys bottomed out that bothered me the most. But I think it was because my case is so stuffed full from the kilmat / MLV that there wasn't enough room for the PC plate to flex at all and absorb some of the pressure.
My case is also a flat case, so I don't think that helped much.

i did see some people talking about getting longer screws for the burger mount, but the video didnt talk about em. would you happen to know the specs for those screws?
wish wooting would give us the option to have either the linear 60s or 45s. i feel like its a waste to purchase the wooting 60he, and swap out all the switches to 45's
