Question for the gummy o ring enjoyers: do you still screw down the pcb to the case? Seems to me that if the only benefit to gummy mount is to improve the sound profile. Why not do burger mount as well to improve the feel slightly? Otherwise the pcb would just be slamming on the standoffs...

Only reason I can think of is maybe the gummy mount method offsets the pcb a bit so the screw holes don't match up with the standoffs. I don't have my 60he yet so I can't confirm.

Hopefully someone who's tried it can chime in... otherwise I'll do the experiment for science.

the whole point of gummy mount is to avoid screw for a more uniform sound profile

The gummy o-ring should fit snug enough to hold the PCB in the case and avoid sinking down to the standoffs. Some people will put some small rubber bumpers/feet on the inside corners that sit a tiny bit higher than the standoffs to give the PCB something to rest on if it does slide down a bit

Yeah, I was thinking of placing small foam/silicon "columns" taller than the standoffs underneath the pcb and case bottom

I get why... I have a bakeneko 65. The difference is the pcb supports on a case built for gummy mount rests on the o ring itself. Whereas the wooting pcb is only supported by standoffs and some posts around the perimeter

it reduce the plastic to plastic sound by alot if you compare it to stock
but not that different than 1 layer

Impossible to say really, but from a quick google E-Coating is almost impossible to scratch. It's not paint but an industrial coating used for machine parts; which doesn't yellow apparently. So, perhaps choose the E-Coating option for the Redux

Thank you for posting this link. They said they plan to have a case cheaper than the keyboard itself, so expect less than $150 US.
This is awesome because I was between two choices:

1. be reasonable on cost and get a wooting 60HE and some kind of programmable pad or 10-key pad separate (I use 10-key for certain MMOs) or
2. Accept that I've used only Wooting Keyboards since they came out as support for them and pay whatever cost once to get it looking exactly how I like. I was going to look into milling a case myself, but now I can save a ton of time/money by being patient
