buy CP WOB alpha-jp
and CP WOB Mod
theyre abs 💀💀
but they crap overtime
nah not lik that
im a sweaty gamer
like the wooting doubl shot pbt caps sometimes gets a little sweat on it
Ong, but tbh it’s a wide spread misconception. Was under that impression before I tried gmk caps aswell
like they get shiny, sure
but neither as quick as the shitty laser ablated caps that random OEM boards come with
Yea no biggie depending on your skin type it can take quiet a bit of time actually
nor is it really that big of a problem to begin with?
yea skin type + sweat variance
from what I know
there are people that can shine "PBT" doubleshots in like half a year
Yea that’s just crazy ngl. For these people the melting abs is accurate maybe
My caps are still in great shape after like 2 months, no shining yet but texture is slightly smoother compared to a unused cap
I wonder what traditional wajima-laquered keycaps feel like. It may or may not improve my gaming but it would certainly feed my hunger. So juicy
Reminds me of the Wooting Chocoboard...
I would eat a few of the bottom row keycaps and make it WKL. Nice

what does that acronym mean
WInkeyless
When im taking the keyboard apart is there anything I should know before starting or is the disassembly pretty straight forward
2? 60?
60 he my b
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WN_-GYLTfpY
This video will show you how to take apart the entire board. Bit by bit.
Always wondered how you can lubricate your lekker switches or grease your stabilizer wire. In this video, we will deep dive on different methods of lubing and some general tips and tricks. Using the Wooting 60HE.
Krytox GPL 205G0 and Molykote EM-50L lubricant:
https://region.wooting.store/products/lubrication-set-krytox-205g0-molykote-em-50l
:...
that said, it is really straightforward to strip it down. iirc, its only 5 screws holding the pcb to the case
Oh good
Is it bc of the standoffs
no, for gummy o-ring mounting you need cutouts on the edge of the PCB so it can actualyl sit on the ring
which the wooting does not have
not to mention that most cases that do that require daughterboard support
So even if I bought like a new alu case like psd60 or klippe it still doesn't work?
those don't do that kinda mount to begin with
you can still ad the o-ring for sound
won't do that much though
People have done it lol
I'm doing it to make it easier for me to take the module out and do future mods cause im a frigin modding addict
its not late to cancel your order mr.mod
its tray mounted not compatable with wooting pcb he mentioned you have to cutouts ede of pcb
Talkin about something like this?
more like this
but yea
has to have the right cutouts
so the pillars a the edge of the case actually go the the o-ring
I have gummy o-ring mounted the Wooting in 4 different cases. You can find some of my videos in here.
https://youtu.be/TotSEWmSxoQ @crimson sky @fluid ravine
These o-rings fit well https://graveshift.com/products/graveshift-m-o-rings
Does it only work with cases that has side posts?
No, it's friction fit so it just sits snug inside the case. You can put some small rubber feet/bumpers in the corner if you want to give it something to rest on if you think you'll oush down to hard
Cant confirm if those fit but I know the graveshift ones do. The size medium is for smaller 65% boards and larger 60%.
guess i have to wait and see
How can I get a screw out if the person who installed it cross threaded it? I am trying to change out the keys for the new 45cn ones and one of the screws won’t come out. First time opening the keyboard so it just came messed up like that
I’ve had luck using an elastic band between the screwdriver and the screw
Thanks!
Are this silicone ring right for the burger mount? On the wooting 60he right?
Or I need another screw
Which switch films is that
Whats the inner diameter measurement?
^ some people recommend 5mm od, 1mm id, 2mm thick
Inside 1mm
Outside 4mm
Finally got my wooting inside a psd60 and lubed up the switches
And 1.5 mm thick
I will have the silicone ring for burger mount
let me try them we'll see
sourcing map Packung mit 30 Silikon O-Ringe 4mm OD 1mm ID 1.5mm Breite VMQ Dichtung für Kompressorventile Rohrreparatur Weiß https://amzn.eu/d/11v0FhA
they somewhat fit
basically this #🪛│modding_faq message
Should I change the Wooting 60he plate to copper or leave it with the default plate ?
people say the wuque studio films fit better, but even if mine dont fit perfectly they still do their job
stiff as hell
wait
lemme get out my ciel
Yes that's the idea. Flex causes input errors with these types of switches. That's why the PCB is screwed into the plate. Gummy just give it's a little bounce and completely isolates the PCB from the case.
granted that one is a half plate
I own 2 other boards with gummy mounts and they fit the exact same way.
All of them fit tight, otherwise they would fall out.
none of them is that stiff
yea but not that tight
Well let me educate you a little then. First off it's the stiffness and diameter of the o-ring (not the quality of the keyboard) that determines how tight or bouncy it is.
just burger mount at that point
didn't say the quality of the keyboard is bad
you are just trying to do something with it that it was not designed for
You said scuffed. Does that mean something different?
Totally disagree. I think it fits and works amazingly well.
this is how tight a ciel with a stock o-ring fits together
unless you try to that PCB etc is not falling out by itself
Love those keycaps. What are they?
top one is DCS solarized dark, bottom one is gmk modern dolch
that is with a case and PCB etc that were designed for that mount
Change the o-ring to something larger and it'll be tighter, you can also change to a stiffer o-ring and it won't flex as much. That's exactly why my parallel portal came with 3 different o-rings. Also if I turned your keyboard upside and shake it, that PCB would fall out.
I could have used a thinner o-ring on my 60HE and had the same fit as your ciel60 but I didn't want that
graveshift m actually flexes a bit more
the thin one in this one has very little give to it
it is 45A
Graveshift m comes in 9 different durometers so that's not a true statement.
Bad assumption. In that video was a parallel portal oring before I bought graveshift ones
ok, unless you use the 60A or 65A one then
the one in mine is definetley stiffer
I know the 45A one in this one is stiffer than 55A graveshift M on a bak
These are graveshift ones. You can see the difference in thickness, which changes how tight they fit. So no, it's not scuffed, it's preference. Yours is looser fitting, that's all.

yes I know
thing with a thinner o ring is that there is less material that is getting stretched
which makes it stiffer than a thick one
also means it will sit a bit less snug though
I had M-rings before
they were not that snug though
in a phantom 65
Then we didnt have the same ones then.
did you build your portal with screw in stabilizers?
Yes
yea that is the problem then
ideally you build o-ring boards with clip in stabilizers
since they take up less space
which makes assembly much easier
and gives a bit more bounce
I understand that, but that doesnt make it wrong. I actually prefer the stiffer typing feel and less bounce, so I usually stick with 50-65a o-rings. I am not a fan of the 30-35a stock ones.
yea which is fine
I am also not a big fan of the 30-35A ones
even though I use it with a half plate
Well you'll never have a half plate with the Wooting 🙂

just plastic weld the mounting pins to the PCB
and do it plateless
nah I will prob end up putting my 60HE is a frog mini
when the barebone kit is a thing
BTW that stiffness preference for me also apples to my frog mini. I use the 50a tadpoles with it
The frog is the purple one
4 wootinf
I have 3 but there is only 1 in that photo
I did have 1 in the frog at one point but didnt like it that much
@stray tiger you built different bro
No, I just spend too much on keyboards
🙂
I got mine in a sageo60, never heard of the duck eagle, is it a bit older?
Yea the v1 is from 2014
Can someone help me to tell are this the right silicone I ring for burger mount! https://amzn.eu/d/11v0FhA
Looks like they will work
what screws are those
i need it now i think about it ;-;
stock screws are too short :_)
6mm length should work great with burger mount
@crimson sky gimme a sound test
brush them
of what lol
That's what you use for springs.
105g0 is lighter
I use it for the switches personally
thats what i heard
Yes it is. But that's more of a personal preference.
its not lighter. thinner
So why can’t you bag lube with 205g0
more oily
almost any oil works for springs
205g0 is way too thick for that
Because bag lubing is a dumb gimmick. Gotta use thinner lube 😄
ohh
10x lube is an oil
Ok so i’d be fine just brushing the springs with 205g0?
yes
ty
@crimson sky that red keyboard with the paper
is the same as bag lubing but you dont waste lube on the bag and can lube where you want
sorry english is not online
mods?
:D
so yea uhhh
can't replicate that with a wooting
the flex cuts i think
fr4 half plate with vint mx blacks
i notice them
Sounds good. What mods did you use ?
Just the alu case and lubed the switches with krytox 205g0 and 105 on the springs
And some aliexpress keycaps
@crystal pike stock foam ?
Yessir
Maa men
I’m thinking of getting some liner/foam for a deeper sound
I bought stupidfish tofu60 its really deep
Did you get anything to fill it in?
M2/6mm Cap Heads. Definitely makes life easier with burger mounts having slightly longer screws. 5 or 6mm ideally
Where I can get the screw
Try your local hardware store, otherwise Amazon should have something for you
thats baller as fuck and its in all black?
immediately buying them
Hey guys, I've got everglide panda v3 stabs, do you think they would be better than 60HE's stock ones?
Tempting
fr
Yes
No
I mean if he isn't happy with his current switches, try the new ones
i dont have they keyboard yet
then why are you considering new switches lol
LMAO
no
springs
no
my bad
try the keyboard first
u right
if you've used 45g for all your previous keyboards, you can keep it on your mind for now but definitely try the stock first
we’ll see
i intended on spring swapping but they were out of stock
i don’t accidentally press keys often
wow, honey+drop is kinda a crazy deal
annnd it just errored out when I finished filling out shipping
unlucky
these switches rly tempting rn
r u asking wooting?
cuz they r working on a 75%
but eith a screen probably not
thatd be cool tho
its like the apex tkl
u can use the software ro like put a image or sum on there
wtf
the final mouse one??
okay wtf
💀💀💀
uve never seen that before
oh damn
thats a kickstarter
thats a crazy board for a kickstarter
these l45s
looking real good rn
wym
how do i rescrew my wooting without destroying the keyboard
im trying to screw the module back into the case
they just fall into the space between the pcb and plate and get stuck in the foam
so i have to disassemble the module
do u have this pic saved
they are from california (surprising)
when they made a mouse called capetown it was named after capetown CA

I mean I know they are from california
nope
I know that people were in their office
there is one with the CEO but it was pre-finalmouse
don't think he has his real name somewhere atm
Feenix is a little known company who is making big-ticket products, and has just made its official debut into the world of consumer electronics at this years CES. We stopped by the Feenix booth to check out its boutique collection of PC peripherals and to get a sneak peek at a new high-end headset its developing. http://www.tweaktown.com
that is finalmouse CEO AFAIK
yea finalmouse is his third try iirc
had an audio thing before iirc
I think they are over that again

Anyone here have tried the Durock Plate Mount stabs for their Wooting 60HE?
Sure.
been thinking about a little mod to anchor my wrist rest to my keyboard to stop it from misaligning, but i'm worried it might interfere with its hall sensors
anyone have any whether placing magnets on the wrist rest could influence the switch sensors?
i marked where i'd place the small magnets and matching metal pieces
Can't promise anything. I would tape the magnets onto the case first and see if there's any interference before making any permanent mods.
Or just use Velcro or something non magnetic.
nothing's gonna be permanent, i plan to just use double-sided tape
which at worst would leave some glue, which can be rubbed off and cleaned with some effort
velcro also doesn't sound bad, but -10 coolness points because it's not magnets, and it wouldn't be as extra precise
funnily enough, the simplest part is the hardest to find
i can't find the steel / iron disks to pair with the magnet
i found some but they're way too big
why not a non magnetic clip system of some kind? a pin and hole
because I don't intend to mod the keyboard's chassis in any significant way
and magnets are cool :p
tho a pin n hole could work alright
hmm or maybe velcro
already suggested, not nearly as accurate and honestly I can't imagine putting velcro on such a high quality keyboard
understandable
What about using a mousepad that's 900x400mm+ size. That could stop the sliding, maybe
I don't think there's a lack of grip
it's more just me being way too aggressive and also being too low, pushing on the wrist rest with too much weight
Yeah I don’t like how my keyboard slides on my mouse pad either
Will try aluminum case and maybe go with brass weight. Undecided on that part yet tho
Will go tofu 60 redux once reviews come out
Gonna try these 3D printed switch films soon™️
How long does it take to print just one?
like 5 seconds each
Lmfao
printed like 65
Anyways, it’s done
Not really, printed some extra ones because I’m probably gonna fuck up a few when I try to pop it off the plate
Silent is a legend
What printer is that?
@stray tiger finally trying some custom made switch films.
Lmk how they turn out!
Ong
I could never get mine to stick to the bed so I just gave up...
Could use someone to help me figure out the fillet on the Tofu60 cavity corners as well
Wdym?
what printer you use? I can help you out
What printer do you use?
I use a few, the one you just saw was the Bambu Lab X1 Carbon.
Honestly can't remember. Give me a few and I'll get back with you.
What do you think about the new 3D printers on the horizon, any you think that are worth getting?
Creality ender 3 pro with a glass bed.
Stick as in it’s getting moved around?
Ok so, 3D printed switch film on the D key and a normal off the shelf polycarbonate switch film on the right. Only variable that was changed was the switch film. The 3D printed switch film was printed with ESUN PLA+ at 0.16mm layer height.
To me the 3D printed switch film sounds deeper than the polycarbonate one.
Yeah - gets moved around with the print head.
you use glue stick on the print bed?
Sounds better on D
When you answer my questions first do it
@stray tiger any thoughts?
Haven't tried that just yet. I'll test it out and let you know.
Maybe the bed isn’t level
And I'll double check. Haven't had issues with it before, but it's worth a shot.
wheres the other duck? he must see this.
Glue stick made it stick to the bed, but coming off wavy. I think it'd be okay?
The D did sound a little deeper. Have you always used those Keychron keycaps?
ye, what about them?
thats ok
I have some and always thought they were very high sounding (which you might love). I just didnt remember if thats what you always used.
ah, lol
Thank you @tall hollow and @untold wigeon for your responses/time. Time to print ~70 and wait for the keyboard/switches to come in.
cool!
another day of thinking abt getting the 45ls
no
just get it
same
if i buy them will you buy them so we can both put ourselves out of the misery of wondering, "what if??"?
then lube them
i alr plan on lubing them
i'm gonna get the lube kit too
i alr got my lube from aamzon
nice. i've never done it before
practice on a few switches
on my keyboard rn
good call
i dont have my wooting yet
oh gotcha
well I have one and i've also been super curious lol
so i'll buy them and let you know what i think i guess lol
mone comes at the end of the week
yeah i know it's going to fking suck
i don't look forward to it
but i very much look forward to having lubed switches
yeah that's what the grease is for
just lube it all when its apart
right. good call
i, being a dumbass, thought that the lube on the stabs was good enough
im just lubing the stems
but
don't swap the stabs? just grease them?
thats it
I guess I might as well grease them then decide
compared to the freshly lubed switches, the stabs sounded horrible
i personally dont see a need to swap them completely
im really happy with how my woot feels and sounds
but the rest of the keyboard is just so damn smooth it's its one weak spot lol
part of me wants the lighter springs tho cant lie
I was practicing counterstrafing on CSGO and i though they might come in handy
lol i got the wooting and then got addicted to diablo
i dont even need the rapid triggering shit for diablo
lolz
oh well
too bad WASD isn't a thing or you could use the analog lol
yeah the switches are $40 and $35 for the kit
damn
57 cents/switch
what
since they’re in stock
i can add it to my order
mine came in different times
so it comes together
i mean you could
but didn't you say it's coming friday?
idk
I don't know enough about wooting process
end of the week
but i would personally just order it separately. i don't think it would save you any money or anything. perhaps it would. idk
28-30
ok yeah idk
my kb was supposed to come way before my lube but fedex was tweaking
i got them like 2 or 3 days apart
oh damn
u ordered them seperate or together?
i also want a jar full of switches
💀
did u order urs?
rn
if i add the L45s to my order u think itll delay my keyboard
I don't think so
cause I ordered the L45's, tool kit and wrist rest after and the order is still the same ETA
same
but what is your eta? @pure herald
31 July - 03 August 2023
I ordered on July 6th
See if you like the 60s lol
And
didnt delay
just ordered mine
good stuff
now we wait
our keyboards were suppose to be at the warehouse today
i thought wed confirm our address today
but probably tomorrow since shipping starts thursday
Hey im having some trouble burger mounting my keyboard, any idea why the pcb doesnt stay in place in the keyboard?
YES
Has anyone else modded their Wooting 2 HE and can report what they did
it's here 😍

has anyone tried smekeyboard POM plates on their wooting
how many kbd standoff do i need
Can Someone recommend me a aluminium case on kbd are no in stock I need a black
Redux?
Are this the same as tofu60?
shipping in sepetember tho
I thought they already shipped the first production? Interesting.
hmm maybe
Where I can get it I living in Germany
Specs Case: Anodized Aluminum, E-coating Aluminum or Acrylic Weight bar: Brass, surface sandblasted process Structure: Tray-mount Compatible with most 60% PCB, including DZ60 rev3.0/DZ60 RGB-ANSI/DZ60RGB V2/GH60/Wooting 60HE PCB, etc. As seen in our video in the photo gallery! Weight: approximately 0.8 kg (non-brass we
shipping is 20 dollars tho
What are the Ende price or are another case better then this?
Klippe T is our high quality, clean and affordable keyboard chassis. Borrowing its mounting from the well known Fjell, it has great sound and typing properties. It’s a safe choice when you want a simple design, with great sound and fantastic color options. In the box Klippe T Keyboard Chassis with all mounting hardwar
this is a well respected case
but a lot more expensive
and has a higher typing angle
Also I have read the someone case have a problem with the usb not compatible or the screws are on another place to fix it
#🪛│modding_faq has a list of compatible cases
you can also look through #1070668460905988106 and see what you like
I would just wait for the Redux, September is not that far away. Unless you want to pay double for the Klippe
But are the same Alumni I’m case? Or different because the Klippe are fast the double from price
different typing angle
Not modding but will get a case in the next few months and will lubw switches too
It's difficult to tell without side by side comparisons, expensive doesn't always guarantee you a better product; in any form of niche hobby imo. Given the price of the Klippe it's actually a lot more affordable than other upmarket 60% keyboards.
Stuff about to arrive (films, switch pads, gummy oring)
But sadly I won't be home until night 😭
These aren’t shipping right now correct? Only pre order atm?
Estimated shipping date: September 2023
Appreciate it boss, I didn’t click into the link.
Then are the Klippe better from quality then The redux?
I mean we havent had a redux long enough to give a valid advise
but i think both are good
If the Redux hasn't shipped yet, how can anyone answer that question properly.
need to say I havent encountered someone in this discord yet that didnt like his klippe
Where did you order the switch film?
I ordered mine from Ali express
I don't seem to find switch films that would fit the lekker switches
Now that I have my keycaps I desperately want to get one of those redux cases even if theyre not shipped yet
What keycaps did you get? 👁️👄👁️
@short rune
Not sure what is backordered but hope it doesn’t affect your upgrade
The film goes between the upper and lower housing?
I’m hesitant to do anything that would change the performance of my Wooting.
Aka maybe film?, different plate, etc.
The burger mount seems interesting tho
Just gets the PCB off of the case mounts, if I understand it
I've seen people use film before. Shouldn't have a huge effect
Like new case, grease and lube the stabs and switches, and burger mount it. Seems like massive upgrade and no performance hits
like this one
Film could be sweet. I’ve never modded a keyboard and don’t know enough about it I guess
It just reduces any impact between plastic pieces?
Seems worthwhile. Similar theory to burger mount but for a switch I guess
I will say this as a Klippe T owner. It weighs around 3 pounds without a brass weight.
i don't think it moves the magnets in the switches at all, so it should be fine
Gotcha. Thanks
There’s reputable film sources for the switches? Or any film would do?
I’ve seen people just put layers in the sides. Others seem cut to fit
not all of them will fit because the wooting has an oddly shaped switch
ye
some people use these ones though
I heard these films dont really fit the lekkers, do you need to cut out the small "windows"?
they dont fit perfectly though
Any films that do? Or just skip it
Updated the modding FAQ to add that the upcoming PC plate will be available as a stand alone purchase if you have an ANSI 60HEv1 and just want to upgrade the plate!
@stray tiger do we know how much is the price ?
gonna lube it 1st 😂
Wuque studios are the best one apparently
@midnight cedar agreed without is not good 😄 for aliminum case
i will change it to stock case until I do mod 😄
No price information yet
right thanks for info
No iso
Not yet unfortunately. Needs some changes to accomodate the standoffs better on that layout
Not yet means, you guys are in process of making adjustments, or as in you have no idea when?
Yes
Thanks!
Hopefully sooner than later
I knew I probably should have stuck with ansi when I ordered the keyboard
I was told a solution is being explored and I havent been given a date
Thanks for the info
Just order a module in ansi and you'll have both 🙂
Unfortunately that wouldn’t be nice on the bank account and times are tough
Yeah I feel you there
Hope the guys are able to find a solution tomorrow
Time will fly
I’m excited as well
oh yeah im not too worried about it lmao
I canceled my order on march for something they qre going to ship this month and we are in july
its prob the best case for woots tbh
Will do tape mod and burger mount when it arrived
happy it came back to production whenever i started getting into it
i think im gonna skip tape mod
for sure burger mounting tho
i have all the stuff to do it in the stock case but i dont see the point doing it now just to have to do it in another month or so
i did lube all the switches and stabs tho
yeah they sound awful
might have to get some polyfil
or car dampening
i dunno yet
I got stupidfish tofu60 foam
how is that
Also tofu redux will come with foam
Its really deep
I did to mod on my tofu 60 wooting
He is using same foam too here it is
Just lubed switches and regrease stabs spring bag lubed
Yeah
i was just gonna reuse the wooting foam
ive seen ppl make it fit
I bought wuque studios PC films from cannon keys (cause shipping cheaper and I need other stuff from there)
Prob put in half the foam
Thanks!
thank you!
I had a regular switch film available, the sound with film is much better. Not perfect fit, but it works!
Just cut out the extra row of plastic and it will fit good enough
Will the PC plate have an influence on the pinginess of the he60?
@stray tiger
I mean, it should. More precise: how does the PC plate influence the general sound n feel of the he60?
Couldn't tell you till they're released for sure. Tirade's just a volunteer, not staff. He doesn't have access to the topsecret stuff. But he can of course theorize based on past experiences with PC plate. 🙂
It will have a different sound and I fully expect it to sound more muted than the metal plate in the v1. @versed pivot
Thank you both. Definitly will get the plate for my ISO if its ever released
Yeh hopefully iso one is released not too long after the ansi
I’m literally thinking the same thing qaq
It’s like loading in to a game with the skins being bugged
incrivel
can i put the lekker switches into my wooting one tkl and have it work with the .1mm actuation and rapid trigger
no
the original wooting 1 and wooting 2 use optoelectric switches and the lekker switches are halleffect based
they are inherently incompatbile
damn
rapid trigger is available though
just need to connect your wooting 1 or wooting 2 to wootility v4 either by installing it or using the website in a chromium based browser
itll give you some information on what will happen and then you can upgrade the firmware
its a 1 way upgrade
north but the switches are made to not interfere
should you get a keycap set that is somehow interfering due to tolerances in manufacturing of the keycaps you can always flip the switches around and all you trade is a reduction in led brightness
YES THANK YOU
I LOVE YOU 😭👍
I have a question have wooting a aluminium case the next?
I.... what?
Wooting will release a 60% aluminum case soon
Are better to wait for a wooting case?
It’s up to you
That is your choice. You can either wait to see the case and do research on reviews, or find an available case you like now and get it
I believe that the wooting alu will still have the hole thing for the strap
So if you don’t like that I wouldn’t get it
Wooting and Tofu Redux will be out in the next month or two
Soooo yeah
Probably two of the most 60HE specific cases to be out
b-but what about our case 👉 👈
Who
Wooting alu case is more iconic and unique wanna try it and wondering how is going to feel
thats the spirit tuna!
Yeah I’m just waiting personally until those two both come out to decide
Nothing off the shelf. Would have to be cusom made.
Will wooting be able to provide the dimensions for the pcb etc?
(so I can go maybe get one custom made)
Ignore, thought this was a 60he question
https://github.com/WootingKb/wooting-design/tree/main/wooting-two-he
We have the case.
TwoHe 😉

Yes
No, you need the plate to attach to the PCB. There is already a plate file out there that you can use to have one made.
Let me see if I can find it
Time to use your computer
No, let him find it by himself. He’s a big boy.
Trust me. You haven’t.
It’s there
I make no guarantee it works and its not supported. Just letting you know I have used it successfully
Pricing hasnt been announced yet and you can check the FAQ to answer the other questions https://discordapp.com/channels/167181566978555904/1103459740186595399
As far as I know the PCB isnt available by itself. Im not employed by Wooting so that would be a question for them
@stray tiger i need help with gummy o ring haha
It either fits or it doesnt, not much to help with lol
now im worried
lol
i just finish puting switch pads
struggling with gummy oring?
ye
If its the right size itll fit with some effort to push the ring down and in. After putting the back side in and lining up the USB port I then do the sides and front. I usually start at the middle and work the o-ring to the outsides
Doesnt look too bad. Start at the spacebar key and push it down and out to the sides
Use a credit card or plastic tool
You have graduated to level 2 now
yessssssssssssssss
:DDD
first gasket mounted in stock case? 👀
oh wait should i split the stock foam in half?
If youre in the stock case then no reason to modify the foam
Ill give you a helpful hint
If you remove the corner switches at this point your o-ring will try and push itself in and make putting the switch back in a challenge so Id pop the board out and film the corners first. Then you can reinstall and do the rest
aight :)
Im out for the night. Good luck!
night tirade
FAQ still says there're no switch films for the lekker switches. This still true?
you can 3d print your own and there are some out there that fit
2 of them could fit and yeah you can 3d print
Which ones??
at least the second
Is there !!!!!!
Wuque studio and geonworks films work
fine
is chassis flex a thing in keyboards? like a 2 part case being flexible
cause the 2 parts have something a little non-rigid in between them
Chassis' are always rigid, it's the PCB mounting type that will determine the flexibility. Leaf spring mount provides the most bounce and plateless PCB's are flexible. Sandwich mounts are probably the most rigid.
well not really the chassis itself
just the two parts not being entirely put together too rigidly
but not unstable
Good shit man
Unless it's a plastic keyboard I haven't had any aluminum cases that flex
Sandwich?
Here's most mounting types better explained: https://cultists.network/732/keyboard-101-part-4-case-plate-mounting/#:~:text=Sandwich Mount, the name “Sandwich Mount”.
Hello, Should i install my Lekker switches south facing or north facing does anyone know the benefit of northfacing switches or is it only for no RGB, Thank you for all responses and your time.
Only reason to install them south facing is because you know that your keycaps won't work north, and you don't mind losing brightness.
I bought gmk striker, i ll install them normaly 🙂 thank you very much for the answer
If you do happen to notice interference you can switch them to south facing but I don’t think I’ve ever heard of that with gmk
are there any pictures of the wooting aluminum case?
i ordered the tofu60 redux but want to know if i should cancel it for the wooting one
There are a few images in the pinned posts in this channel.
Thanks, didnt see it before. Looks nice, wondering what the price will be
Wuque studios
Geonwork
:D
Got dem plastic clacks again
No more deep sounds :(
I bought these from AliExpress for 5€ and they fit no problem. Warped around the sides but flattened after clicking the switches together. No wobble at all afterwards.
Can someone tell me please wich screw I need for burger mount?
Can i usted the original Form Wooting?
Just finish filming in the car
I ain't gonna lie
The board sounds like absolute shit
M2 6mm
The default screws are already 5mm
If I can send a vid rn I would but idk how but god
The board sound awful
I need some help but not right now
Wait till I get home
For anyone that has filmed their switches
Did y'all experience like this plastic clacky shit sound?
My ears are bleeding from it
Do you have an aluminium case?
No
do your wooting switches wobble?
Some of them

I shouldn't be filming the switches that are tight shouldn't I..
Did you use the wuque one
I’ve got some coming in a couple weeks as well
Lemme list the mods that is currently been in the keeb rn
my advise is not to use films at all
I’m gonna try them out and see what I think and then I’ll go from there
If I don’t use them it’s not the end of the world they might come in handy at one point
Stock case
Switch foam
Lubed switches (krytox 205g0)
Switch tape mod
Filmed (wuque)
Gasket mount
Poron switch pads
Glorious GPBT key caps
Relube stabs
Ima brb
Ok so wuque studios do make the switches sound clackier ig

Ive used the wuque films and I cant say they made much of a sound difference. My switches didnt exhibit abnormal housing wobble so there wasnt a need to film but I did it so that I could have first hand experience filming these specific switches.
Is this a worthy moment to tag a mod
Yes
Nvm, they're ready
I handled it
Thx
Thank you
Thinking about if it's worth filming :/
Ok gotta run some errands
I wanna go home haha
Ah i got it
Ok so yeah
Like tirade said it doesn't sound that different
Some sound bad bc I f up the film process on some of the switches
I fixed them 👍
Sound better
But not my preference
So gonna try to find away to make it sound deeper
why is that?
Yeah I think I’m going to skip the film when I lube
Seems negligible but I don’t feel comfortable messing with the switch like that
Curious about these new plates tho 👁️👄👁️
Do we have any estimates how much the pc plate alone would be?
Someone that knows something about plates, how will they affect the feel/sound?
No info
Tirade said there is currently no info on the pricing of the plates alone

So I usually get a lot of questions about keyboard stuff... and one of them is... yo bro, what is the thockiest switch? Well, besides that, anoth...
Maybe the next revision will have an aluminum plate (my personal fav) who knows
Current is steel?
Yeah I’ve heard good thing about aluminum
Current is steel and PC is upcoming
Sounds good
It’s only ansi that will be released, until stabiliser compatibility issues have been solved
FYI
Gotta get myself that damn pc plate >:p
YeH I’ll try the PC plate when it comes out
Aluminum case, PC plate and lubed switches/stabs. Probably sufficient.
ooff
ooff what lol
uuuuuuuf
Only thing that sucks is I’m torn between Wooting Alu and Tofu Redux cases
Going to be months before either one 👀
buy both of them how is that
😄
you might cannot find in future tofu redux case I will yoink both of them if i were you
REEEEEEEEEE
For tofu redux tho
Could it? Maybe. It will make it heavier which is typically what the brass weight is for. Adding a small piece of brass to the bottom is less to do with changing the sound and more weight and aesthetics.
Aluminum case would already be a bump up in the weight from the stock plastic I guess
Well thats also a change in case material as well so thats a bigger difference between aluminum and stock. Adding a little brass to the bottom of an aluminum case isnt typically a big change in sound.
Correct^^
Right on. Yeah this is just my first custom keyboard so I’m generally clueless lol
👏
Going aluminum mostly for the acoustics but also need a bit of extra weight to prevent sliding while gaming
Custom keeb 😂
You usually hand craft your PCB or what?
?
Just confused what you meant here
You said "this is just my first custom keyboard"
And I just find it funny bc the wooting board is more of a gaming keyboard that could be customized, not at all custom lvl tho
Nothing personal
Humor weird ig
Right yeah. But swapping out case and plate and lubing switches not good enough for you I guess. I’ll refrain from using word custom keyboard so I don’t insult anyone lol
/¯_(ツ)_/¯
Yeah I know. It’s not that serious. All good
You fine
People use it in a certain wooting video in the comment section and started a war
I'm over here like GET ME MY POPCORN
It just reminded me of that so that's why I find it funny
Right on
so
tape
saved the day
;-;
got home did tempest mod
and well it helped even though it suppose not to
And I fucked up
(I cutted the foam on accident)
What size o-rings are best for burger mount on 60he?
4x1x1 or 4.5x1.5x1.5?
clack clack clack
ALL I HEAR IS CLACK
you're right @marble shuttle maybe i am destined for clack 🥲
second one
seems right i think
idk
plsss clack is starting to become hell for me :_(
loving the spacebar doe
anyways thoccy wooting people what mod do i have to do or remove to get dem thoccy shit
MODS
Stock case
Stock Foam
Gasket mount (gummy Oring)
Poron switch pads
Lube switches (Krytox 205g0)
Relubed and holee modded stabilizers
Switch Tape Mod
Filmed (Wuque studio films)
Tempest mod (5 layers)
Glorious GBPT Keycaps
are you thinkin gof getting an aluminum case
yeh they are expensive
alu case should help huh
my broke ahhh
maybe try lubing the switches a bit more
did you lube the floor of the bottom housing?
so like you see
i uh
relube this shit 2-3 times and
uh
im modding the hell out these damn switches
and yes i lubed every frigin parts of the switches
for me lubing the floor or the housing made the most difference to calcky
ok hold up lemme send you something
also tape mode and burger mount will make a more noticeable difference with a alu case imo
it is
Yes ik I need to clean but the floor of the bottom housing on the j key has more lube than the a key
I’m waiting on lube to make it more consistent
The a is a lot more clacky irl
its more like the lube getting work in or the mounting points
cause im sure that most wooting are deeper on the right side
yeh
