Myself and others did not see a meaningful difference in changing to others like durocks.

It's not about performance, it's about LED brightness.

You should be able to use any decent cable with tachyon enabled, but you might need to reduce LED brightness to like 70% or so.

If you answer yes to that then there is no need to switch

The oil kings are community favourits rn so they are great switches.

I mistakenly applied Molykote for stabilizer to the switch. Is it ok to leave it as it is?

So Molykote is a lot thicker. Which you WILL feel when pushing down the switch, which is supposed to have something more thin and runny.

If it's one switch I would open it again and wipe it clean, then re-lube it.

Hey folks just received my Klippe T, and god it is awesome! This case is just hugely super heavy!! I'm glad I didn't went to the Fjell since it's an even more heavy one. have a questions for some people who already have their wooting in hand. I have been looking for cases recently that will be compatible bc the Tofu60 was my first choice but has sinces been discontinued... I was roaming around AliExpress when I found this bloke, and was wondering if anyone would confirm its compatible. It is a GH60 so I would assume it would work, but I am curious if anyone else went this route.

I planned to bag lube the springs and i've read online I need 105 for that (thought i'd be able to use the 205g0)... and I also need some dielectric grease for the stabs?

supposedly something thicker for the wires is better but i personally havent bother with it and just used 205g0 for the entire stab

in general id recommend bag lubing, it saves you like 30 mins, its a bit more wastefull on the lube but if you dont lube switches daily this really doesnt matter.

Tofu 60 2.0 works as well, think it has optional screw in standoffs, there are 3 mounting types in the new tofu

U could try and find people selling 2nd hand tofu’s, like I did, or u can try diff cases like the Klippe T

Also js curious for anyone who got their Wooting and hv changed/modded their stabs, did they come clipped? Mine wasn’t clipped and some sources say they come clipped. Doesn’t really bother me as I’ve changed to everglide plate mounts but I js wanna find out

Stock wooting stabs are decent enough, there are other mods much more worth it, but if you want to swap your stabs id recommend the Fl Cmmk V3 they are supposedly better than their Duroc/Everglide counterparts

The Tofu 2 has this weird thing where the USB IS IN THE CENTER OF THE CASE

Kind of a giveaway I'd say

It's also Gasket mount based, not screw in. So unless you're going to be manhandling your PCB with a soldering iron and flex cables to move the USB connector - and fabricating your own switch plate to mount the PCBA into the case, then this is about as helpful as a 60HE case as a brick 😄
