I also owned this case, I didn't like it at all. The case exposes the PCB too much for my preference and the legs of the keyboard are really badly designed. I actually returned it cause I didn't like it at all. I say the Ducky mecha case is far better in build quality and the leg design. I like the color of it more as well, the teal is really unique

Oddly, I don't believe they ever ended up making a white version. I was actually looking forward to it but it never released. I'm real happy with my frozen llama ducky mecha but its become a little dated. Lekkar switches in this thing would be amazing. Eventually I'll likely get myself a wooting 60 aluminum case the "Path60" or maybe go for a freebird60 OR maybe a PSD60 case (All in white)

Keep in mind when purchasing a after market case, they all come with different typing angles, this will strongly determine how it feels. You're likely used to a 5 degree typing angle or so, these ones are a little taller than that (Taller than my ducky case)

Another heads up, I'd recommend for you to NOT lube your switches until you give it some time. A lot of people tend to over-lube and make it feel worse than it did. Enjoy the keyboard a little and if you think it's necessary, then try some of that lube on like your WASD key to play it safe, then do the rest of the switches if you end up liking it

I was so excited for my first "Custom" and lubed all my switches, it made it feel terrible cause I over-lubed, I spent I think 5 hours lubing all of them. It was extremely disappointing

Yes, like this. Red is the parts I think you should lube, and Blue is the part I think you should avoid at least for your first time. Badseed tech actually explains the process on youtube as well

I used like a 45 gram spring weight, it takes lube a little more sensitive. Made it feel sluggish, not bad but enough to where I couldn't stop thinking about it. I hate the sluggish feel

Some people use like 70 gram springs and they can take WAY more lube and feel normal

Tape mod on the 60HE does almost nothing. The reason is the resonance changes you would typically get with tape mod arent present with the 60HE due to the way the plate and PCB are screwed together using standoffs (and it's a steel plate)

I agree to play around with @mental hemlock for the rest pretty much. Start with lubing, then if you swap to another case play with different mounting options (burger mount, gummy mount, etc) and then play with dampening materials (I tend to lean towards fiberfill instead of foam in most of my aluminum cases but thats a personal thing)

Anyone here have a wooting60he & has modded it I was thinking getting a klippe t case or fjell case using foam at the bottom & changing keycaps I was wondering should I get different stabs or lube the switches and springs or will this be fine as is

It is fine as is! Taking it further with relubing or swapping out the already decent stabs are optional. The 50cN springs would be noticeably lighter if you feel the stock springs are heavier than preferable for you

Hey everyone, I just switched my 60he into a Poseidon 60 case, however even without the feet installed it’s a bit too tall. Should I try a wrist rest, try to adjust to the height, or get low profile key caps (if there are even some that fit on 60he)?

The height with the stock case was perfect for me but the Poseidon makes it a little taller

I think I will give it a week or two and see if I can get used to it, just feels a bit odd right now

@flat pelican Yup, I prefer a hard surface over soft. I've gone through so many foam ones, and I've tried silicone which are nice but don't feel solid. I've had this wood one for a good while now and there's absolutely no wear since I'm not too oily. And it's an almost perfect height!

Thicc keycaps sound better than thin ones

ABS is generally higher pitched while PBT is deeper

and profile makes a difference too MT3 is deeper than Cherry
