Track me now I dare you
Fr tho why tf does the eff think I have 8gb of ram?
Like what?
that duckduckgo stuff was about the broser they made, and they made this public themselves, and are already working on a fix with MS
They didn't announce that, nor did they take down the privacy marketing while doing this
It was technically possible to find but it was very well hidden
The Murena One is a 4G LTE smartphone. It comes with a gorgeous 6.5 inches display. To give the best viewing experience, we chose a punch hole camera design for the selfie camera. This phone comes with a 25 megapixel front camera for great selfies, and 3 rear cameras for…
odds that this company will live longer than 3 years from now on
Wow so it's almost like this is exactly what I said but couched in marketing talk...
And they only talked about it after it was noticed
Ddg uses Bing for search results so they will always have issues anyway
Why would you need a degoogled phone if you can get nearly any phone and install a customOS of it?
might as well ask why not everybody uses arch
btw,lana is using arch
btw,that is true
nice edit hehe
:')
To copy his message
ah
i made a small typo
and you thought you could get away with that
apparently not. Lana pays many attentions
:')
MOAR POWER
soon we cant even see the pcb under all the parts anymore
That’s a ton capacitors ngl
Why not just a few big caps pepega
Listen
GPUs process numbers
Numbers are written as words
Words are caps
Therefore more GPU caps = more word caps = bigger numbers!

Its one thing For MS Office to have a vulnerability, its another for that vulnerability to lead to RCE, but a NO CLICK RCE vulnerability codenamed Follina in Microsoft Word that doesn't even require macros? That's just insane, good thing I use LibreOffice!

*First they'd have to download and save the word document, then they'd have to browse to the save folder and select the document to bring up preview pane.
I guess maybe the user has a keyboard with those silent Cherry MX Red switches?*
Preview ones are not even new
Regardless, it's still problematic that these vulnerabilities exist.
Especially in corporate use, where a fishing attack can seem pretty plausible.
It could probably also execute within outlook, not requiring you to save the file at all.
Yea it is still problematic and I am atm wrangling with GPOs to prevent them
Every attempt at doing so has not worked yet
Fun

Sucks, you ordered it day one right?
Not entirely, I think ireland is stuck with the uk as well
Til there's a subreddit dedicated to Steam deck porn games
Victims of Brexit assemble

The steam deck doesn't lend itself well to one handed operation, so yea wouldn't be the best device for porn games.
you still have to hold the device awkwardly with one hand
True
I want the deck to play good games
Not ports that aren't meant to work in an old phone chip
No
Can't play D2 on deck anyway
With windows sure
But no one wants windows
And I'd rather not trip the anti cheat on Linux
Sounds like I don't wanna throw away my 4500 hours
SAME
Funnily enough the first game I played on my Deck as vampire survivor hardly anything performance intensive
me, cry bout it 😎
Why not mald harder the cope ratio?
yes, like that
the deck is kinda nice.
Yes
Yes it is
How tf
Is Alma Linux 8gb in size and still not come with a desktop
It just drops you into a tty console
I bet its because of some feature it has that would probably show on a google search 🙂
its RHEL apparently 🤔
download. im not going to install it :p
well i have on my "home server"
but thats not the base anymore
then its actually small 🙂
Says he lost nearly due to gpu prices to normal
no scalper calls themselves a scalper
oh thats neat, the small indents that will make sure people can be sure what direction the cpu has to be in
People will still find a way
think only on the newer ones that arent in square form anymore anyway
also thank god it seems like the chipsets don need coolers anymore, imagine having two of the shitty tiny fans
Bruh that's a way too exposed board
two chips are cheaper than one chipset chip from last gen as well lmao
very lana comment ngl
how many watts can those even dissipate
the left one was an arctic with like 30W iirc
spec
noctuas massice passive cooler can do 125W
yea
NVLink is back?
Interesting
bruh
Let's hope early driver, that's it
I mean
The other result from the same GPU is 10x higher?
Definetly more than just drivers
2 times float compute
wtf
probably yes but also dont take any numbers you only see on wcctrash for granted
but yes, for ampere and ada nvidias plan is mostly simplified down to spamming GEMM at the chip
but just 2xflop isnt 2x performance in games as we saw in ampere
obviously
2x
So about 100FPS in most titles at 4K
That sounds really good?
Idk if it's worth investing into current gen if we are that close to something much better
And hopefully more available
Hmm that sounds good
4K Pog
y'all got any good gaming desks
IKEA
Personally I'd like something that can be regulated for standing/sitting
Gaming things aren't even a thing
not looking for "gaming" desk
Get something office
looking for a desk that goes well for gaming
slapping gaming on something is just marketing and mark up in prices
What else do you need
Drawers?
Bookshelves?
Lots of space?
Like just a flat area or is it like a more specialised desk
i recommend one with a higher monitor position on the back, depending on your preference
and an L Desk
L shape and sturdy for monitor mount
well mounting is extra equipment 😛
L shape literally only fits in corners
that's not true
That is incredibly useful
L shape barely fits not in the corner
I mean, I like my desk flush to the wall
not the issue, i'd pay extra for it
the highest functional aspect of an L desk is providing space that surrounds you. Less needing to reach over or move your chair.
I don't have space to put it in the middle of the room
L desk is great, I'll give you that
i need an L desk honestly
But again think of where'd you even put the thing
this is true for all furniture
@true questWhere from are you again?
US
Ah amerigunsia
might mount my five seven under the desk, who knows
57
or would a pump be more effective
cool as the gun is and as cool as it performs : also too expensive for range shooting
punch a hole right through the drywall even
Ngl can't wait to turn 23, get a gun license, and get a H&K USP
for home defense a shotgun is almost always a great option. depending on the enviornment
USP will always be the sexiest sidearm
isn't that absurdly expensive?
Not really
so i just get a beretta 9 mm
shotgun is point and shoot very simple so I'd assume so
oh i was thinking a different gun, my bad
but can my desk handle the weight
doesn't have to be a beretta. I recommend a canik
a shotgun isn't going to weigh a stupid amount.
also price, what you can afford will put you in a spot
just don't want to be that glock guy ya know
def get a Canik then
one fo the newer ones like the METE SFX
trigger pull is very light and so far no issue except for this one brand i tried with, but it was a shitty cheap brand of ammo anyways.
don't buy shitty cheap ammo @_@
but yeah for home defense, a short shotgun that holds the legally maximum amount will do you wonders. Mine holds 8 rounds, but the barrel size could make it awkward at the stairs.
yeah that's really the only thing, it's a long stick so places that are tight might be the only thing
it's a broom basically
also versatile rounds. and can get rounds that wont puncture your walls and hit innocents behind them.
and
aint no fuck is gonna to hear the mechanism of a pump shotgun and go "yeah I can take that to the face"
slug em
Hey there is nothing wrong with the Glock
no don't use slugs
slugs are horrible
It's good, reliable, affordable
also yeah GLOCK is very valid
just damage your house
Glocks are literally the Apple of guns
and you have to be accurate
well no
i don't use apple 😎
FN is the Apple of Guns.
overly priced
and the ammo/service is stupidly over priced too
Does FN have that massive of market share in sidearms?
and you get THE ONE propriertary round type : armor pierce
Glock I'd say is incredibly popular
android
FNs are fantastic guns but they are stupidly pricey
FN is definitely like apple with the ammo
about a dollar a round
the recoil will be super smooth and the stupid fast round will be pleasing to shoot.
but you are shooting a lot of cash
and it's poor for self defense
Man here I wish Glock 19 or 17 would have a legal coversion kit to 18
cause you'll just over penetrate doing less damage
18 is so cool
I figure ammunition is an investment anyway since it probably will keep appreciating in value
or at least inflation will speed it up some
it's expensive because it's proprietary : only one person is making it
FN
but, hey
P90s are badass
#worthit
I like way it works though
literally spending 50 dollars to shoot a whole mag
the rounds do a lil spin to line up with the chamber
Why not just get a G36 with clear mags
where are you getting 6.5mm from?
what the heck is 6.5 thats one I don't know
Well 6.5 is, in one way, the new 5.56
sounds incompatible lol
The new SIG Spear iirc uses 6.5
That's the new standard issue calibre for U.S army iirc
Well wrong again I am
It's 6.8mm
could have sworn it was still the 9mm unless they changed with a new trial
oh i see, yeah thats new
We'll see how U.S will deal with the adoption of a new calibre
5.56 being kind of phased out off military service
based on history : US prefered rounds tey had in spades lol
found it https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XM5
The XM5 is the U.S. Army variant of the SIG MCX Spear, a 6.8×51mm (.277 in), gas-operated, magazine-fed, assault rifle designed by SIG Sauer for the Next Generation Squad Weapon Program in 2022 to replace the M4 carbine. The XM5 features a free-floating reinforced M-LOK handguard for direct accessory attachment onto the "negative space" (hollow ...
toasty he says as he posts normal temps
yeah low 70s is fine imo
honestly above 80 is a sign of needing better thermals. The danger zone is <90
gpu memory is hot tho
memory also can take more though
aye but if you want a logner life span : don't push the temps
79c on a CPU ain't normal 😄
I straight up undervolt in the summer to keep from cooking in my own juices
workable temp but yeah def better to have lower temps. I recommend some cleaning.
depends on what cooler, load etc.
I cleaned my pc case out a month ago and it dropped my temps A LOT
also discovered I somehow plugged one of my case fans into the sys_pump header
so the entire time the pc was built one of my case fans was static 70%
and I never noticed
This was while gaming. And honestly 80c is bad regardless of your setup as a consumer. 😄
ehhh, with how the chiplets are spreading heat on zen3 that can be not too unusual
I disagree. Peaks? Sure. But not consistent loads in a game.
I mean, its just one picture, idk if thats consistent or just a snapshot he took
I got an Ice gaint cooler to keep my cpu cool
it depends on the individual hardware honestly
like. The kind of video cards I tend to get coincidentally always ending up running way too damn hot all the time. but that's because the first one was more or less a released prototype that was a heavy hitter but sucked ass firmware wise, and temperature-wise. Then my replacement for that in an RMA : a newer and same performance card but the design of the cooler assembly sucks ass so it gets a little toasty. So I was more or less forced to invest into a computer case that heavily benefited video cards venting air up. now temperatures are good.
I don't have the best idle temperatures but I'm not cooking 80+ during load
sounds like you arent using a cpu made in the last 3 years lol
unless you use a custom loop or are simply not using your cpu, zen 2 or 3 and rocketlake and later msdt are physically incapable of dissipating the heat quickly enough to even be that low temperature
heck
Im using a pretty solid custom loop, and temps still hit 80 at full load
and no the danger zone depends on the cpu and thermal sensors
on zen 1 its around 80 sure
but on zen 2 its 95
but zen 1 has crappy sensors super far away from the hot bits
Nice to see denuvo still getting fucked but sadly they still win
As there's no decent scenes now
promoting piracy huh, that's bad m'kay
Nah it's fine
its bad m'kay
well, that's kind of their own fault
bro i'm russian
I know
well. dont be..
ok maybe my phrasing was poor, its the russian gubermints fault
Yay I love piracy
seeing denuvo being cracked doesn't mean i condone piracy
Anyways you slowpoke I posted that in #🎮│game like 2 days ago
The initial beta testing thread
Also why in here
Tech
Denuvo is tech
bit of a weak argument when you post something that literally has links to it instead of just mentions it being cracked 😛
just do it in #hollows-microwave
moral point doesnt change the legal point
crack belongs in the microwave
😦
Wtf is hollows microwave
new channels
someone didnt follow the stream
Oh good more channels to hide
gaming being more important than general channels or support
yup.. that is strange
not exactly promoting it in the sense of telling people to do it, more like sharing news about it anyways.
also some publisher studios are just outright disgusting to support. Like Activision/Blizzard and EA.
and, in the end : you aren't doing any harm. someone that would download a game is the same type of person that wasn't going to buy it, aka, still not a sale. but it would massively increase the chances of them to later on buy it because they actually got to playa nd try it and not be scammed based on hype or expectations or it being a bad game that can't be refunded.
you know you could also just like, play something else instead
and it'd be a different game
not the specific one that you want to play
if you download it and like it and like the devs : buy it if you can afford it. or when you can afford it.
it's like the case I had with Rimworld. i didn't have the money at the time and didn't know if it was going to be dwarf-fortress-like #35 or if it had enough of its own flair and such.
So i downloaded it, liked it, and then next month bought it once i had enough spending cash.
or if you want it and can afford it buy it, steam has a refund period, you can watch videos, reviews etc.
the only morally wrong aspect is if you are DISTRIBUTING, which is what piracy is.
except
back then steam didn't have the refund until Australia took them to court and they lost.
and even then : two hours is not enough time for games like Rimworld or other EXTREMELY long winded games
ok but why are we arguing about the past
ALSO
that still requires having the cash
and 90% of modern games don't do demos anymore
yes if you cant afford it I personally don't care, I just have an issue if you can afford it
i don't see why that would be an issue anyways. it's not distribution.
because I find it pretty weird to be entitled to have something without paying for it if you can afford it just because you dont like EA or whoever makes it
I don't think it's entitlement?
it's not demanding to have the game or forcing it from someone
I just cant see a valid reason for it if you can afford it
i already listed them.
for instance : trying out something before purchasing something usually permanent is perfectly valid
you can refund, so that is no longer valid
Your moral code may allow piracy, but it is still illegal and unethical.
piracy is distributing
i don't support distribution
also, i just outlined that you can't refund these things typically.
Ok
Privateering
that's. the same thing :V
I have never had a problem
this isn't "privateering" either
Yes it is
well good for you that you can judge a game under an hour
Wot
An hour?
yes and its 2 hours
Steam gives you two hours and my credit card company allows 14...
and some games stretch out tutorials and starting areas very long. or the main issues behidn them don't crop up until laters.
i'm saying is it has issues.
2 hours of launched game
Not including downloading
i am aware
so you want to be able to play most of the game and then decide you dont want to pay for it?
if I don't liek the game I wouldn't be playing it very long.
It's a weird argument both sides
do you drive your car before buying it?
Yes
Do you inspect pets before owning them?
Yes
And you have to give alot of data to the agent
Deoends
That is the contract
If it's a rescue pet I make sure it has had irs injections etc
sure but you don't have those options for games
You must provide your driver's license and insurance before you are allowed to test drive the car
all you can have are videos of lets plays. but thats not the same as experiencing
You literally do
yes you have, you have 2 hours of a test drive
In my eyes someone who pirates had no intent paying in the first place but are still a potential buyer
i've not been asked for insurance to test drive
i gaurentee you you wouldn't be able to judge games like Dwarf Fortress within 2 hours
Last game I bought I did that tbh 😅but I rarely pirate
or RPG games
because dwarf fortress is definitely representative of most games...
except no one here is mentioning about pirating. we're talking downloading. uploading is the piracy.
You absolutely can tell how much of an experience you will have
its called an example.
maybe you and thats good for you.
its not a great example if it doesnt hold up for most cases
Oh don't be one of those peeps
not everyone can.
Privateering is downloading content you didn't pay for
That's what we are talking about
no it's rather important to declare definitions and terms.
so privateering if it's free
If you download with a torrent client, it is piracy
If you wanna be specific you are pirating while downloading
As you cant not upload and distribute
You paid for it for the full price the developer asked if it is free
That's just not how torrenting works and capping upload to 0 work work
Tldr not a valid defence in court
downloading something is different then selling bootlegs or giving everyone free copies. you cannot equate the two. fi you can't understand the differences then i'm not continuing this conversation. I'mma head back to work.
test
connection screwed up
sounds like me the definition means its piracy even if you dont distribute
anyways : i'm not continuing the dishonesty here. Insinuating the only method of downloading something is torrenting.
Torrenting is piracy, all other methods of acquiring paid content without paying are privateering
I mean if you're using file servers over p2p then ye you're not distributing at least
p2p torrents aren't piracy
Both piracy and privateering are illegal and unethical
The protocol is just used for it
Yep
You just said torrenting is piracy :p
they aren't going to understand network based protocols or any of that. Torrent bad evil GRR! :E
Misformed sentence oops
idk it was kinda clear it was meant only in context of paid content if you read the second part of what he wrote
Should have said "acquiring paid content through torrents is piracy, all other forms are privateering"
I mean using the protocol for unethical things is bad :p
Personally I don't care
Sure
But that doesn't make it legal or ethical
I just like seeing denuvo being ruined s
"Using a tool for unethical means is unethical, revelation!"
the "ethical" is highly subjective
Meh, big deal
denuvo is very bad
Yes
The problem is you are promoting the unethical part
no one wants their computer root kit for a game
Life is unethical
No
Morality is subjective
Ethics are objective
haha no
Oops missed reply
so buy another game that doesnt have a "root kit"
i literally said distribution of stuff was bad. you're the one that can't tell an apple from an orange.
You need to take your ethics class again
tell that to the publishers 😂
Let's not get a bit argumentative
...
Why are you all people at arms when it comes to this shit
I'll just silently download my free shit while you peeps are here arguing for no reason
Why does if matter tbh
it's called having a conversation
That seemed a bit heated for a conversation
People do stuff, whether you agree or not doesn't effect anyone else but yourself :p
like the stats show piracy does the opposite to sales and allows games to be archived for historic purposes.
discord, naturally
Ah yeah where people say stuff they wouldn't say irl
calling out someone's ethics/morality or making assumptions tends to bring out heat.
but that is a whole other point compared to cracking a game because you dont like the publisher...
I didn't say TO crack someone's game. other people do that.
Nah let others do the dirty work :p
We weren't calling our your code of ethics
You know it is unethical, however your code of morality allows it for the reasons you outlined...
im just disagreeing with that part is all, if you dont want to give them money dont buy it and get something else
Empress annoy me
Prolly the first cracker to actually make a living out of cracking
And I for once actually thank god for that
Scene people disappear and reappear
If someone's money motivated at least they won't fuck off randomly
exactly : don't give them money if you don't want to support them.
yes and that means dont crack the game
Where tf is CPY?
Well don't make stupid mistakes like that guy who told everyone his country and didn't use a vpn

inserting someone's crack.exe isn't cracking a game
CPY was gone for 2 years, released like a few games, and fucked off ever since
the people that actually crack the stuff, the crack teams, are the ones doing the cracking.
EMPRESS literally the only cracker for denuvo that we have for a few years now
Because all scenes lost their best members
i don't know enough software engineering and encoding/decoding to crack a game.
"I dont want to support them so I want to use other means to get it for free " is just peak entitlement to me ¯_(ツ)_/¯
At least EMPRESS is actually making a living out of it
Because she isn't stupid
So we can hope that EMPRESS whoever they are won't just ditch the scene
Nah I don't like empress
Actually the thing with EMPRESS is
and you have the right to your opinion. And I have mine. if I enjoy and love the game and the publisher/devs aren't assholes : i throw money at them.
They got into legal trouble before they got notorious
And they were acquitted or some shit?
it also helps I actually have a stable job now too
She's weird and pett and only crack's for money
So wherever EMPRESS resides, cracking shit there is, apparently, legal
still doesnt change the legal point if you do it, you are well aware its not the intended way and thus are knowingly breaking ToS, regardless of how much you dislike them
Prolly Somalia or some shit
No honor in that :l
the heck is EMPRESS?
The only denuvo cracker atm
The sole remaining active DENUVO cracker
the legal point is is that distribution is the big no no. Not the downloading. Torrenting counts as distribution because of the upload aspect. Good luck finding me a court case where downloading was the issue soley. It's always been the uploading and sharing.
Most courts won't see it this way
I couldn't frankly care less if empress cracks for the honour of it or for money
again : cite me the case of just the download
No lol
Nobody else does it at least that money hungry bitch with their philosophical ramblings is there
if you're providing a service and getting paid for it...
also Denuvo also horribly bogs your machine down and ruins the game aspect, good game or not. it hampered Assassin Creed really badly to the point legit owners HAD to crack the game to turn Denuvo off, for a single player game.
Technically they ain't going anything illegal if their customers are happy with their services
also lets not forget Abandonware
Most teams did it for the sake of being the best
I dont really care to walk around your technicality when it's quite obvious what is mean, and it's just not followed because its not worth to go after anyone besides the people who share it
there comes a point where a game isn't sold anymore but still exists.
Fighting each other to crack first etc
except that technicalities matter. words and how words are used matter. These things matter.
now lets get deeper

do you pay for the cracked version of a game
hell no
If you're in third world countries ye
yes words matter but people can know what other people mean without it being perfectly described
You pay for a cracker to crack a game in order for the game to become free for everyone
I call that crowdfunding
It's a big thing to buy cracked games on disc in markets
right but if the context is legality : words are very strict and not loose.
It's not just software
we're not in a court setting though
Kickstarter for the anti denuvo force
What about nintendo modchips?
the legal aspect of it was brought up multiple times. don't blame me.
now what if the cracker offers the cracked software, you dislike the price, and somehow steal it
I'll be honest though... My 8 games on PS4 I didn't buy
Imagine getting sued for damages by a software cracker
USA has a rights to repair law for citizens and consumers of products. If we buy something, we own it. We are allowed t repair it or change it and such. Modifying hardware is perfectly legal.
even if John Deer or Apple says you don't have these rights
i can already see the am i the asshole posts in reddit lel
Wait
But what if the hardware makes it so that the software you would normally pay for you no longer have to pay?
And it would never be that way unless you modchip it
Ever since Rossmann had a say in it I guess
that's less a legal matter and more of a Terms of Service issue.
closest law for that is whatever they decided for stealing cable.
but the cables are properties so
Yes but theres a reason he's still fighting
it'd destruction of property
Wonderfully so as well
now if you were RENTING the hardware
renting the hardware is different
cause you didn't own it.
I mean is Rossmann committing piracy by buying shit from factories that is intellectual property of Apple and without their permission applying it to his repair service?
Yes
Didn't hear Apple sue him for it even though he literally admitted on camera for it
Another man's trash is another man's treasure
The right to repair refers to proposed government legislation that would allow consumers the ability to repair and modify their own consumer products (e.g. electronic, automotive devices or farm vehicles such as tractors), where otherwise the manufacturer of such products requires the consumer to use only their offered services by restricting ac...
It wouldn't be worth the bad pub
They only go after big companies, who don't use stolen boardviews
yeah there's deeper paperwork to read into
Nice of you to read literally what you linked
also spills over into https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electronics_right_to_repair
Electronics right to repair is proposed legislation that would provide the practical means for electronics equipment owners to repair their devices. Repair is legal under copyright law and patent law. However, owners and independent technicians are often unable to make their own repairs because of manufacturer limitations on access to repair mat...
No there isn't
The only legislation that exists is proposed
Literally in the articles you linked?
The only industry that has right to repair is the car industry
you mean these aren't set and stone?
There is nothing for consumer goods
cause i see words like "implementation"
wha
cars
phones
these things are consumer products
consumer goods
the hell are you talking about?
Phones do not have any right to repair legislation
Which does not guarantee the right to repair your device...
That one's interesting
And that's not a law
It's a supreme court ruling
except the case in 2008 and then followed by the stance in 2012....
Find the law then
i showed them to you 😛
Those aren't actually laws
Just rulings
For individual cases
Can you use that ruling in case that happens again to justify your case with it? Yes
Is it a law? Ehh, not really
Do the device manufacturers need to do ANYTHING AT ALL about these?
No
usually rulings in past cases are used in furture cases. it's typically always been that way.
its called Setting Precedence if i recall correctly.
if I am wrong then I made a mistake but am pretty sure thats a thing
rulings can cause a law to be changed or made, but they are not a law by themselves
Yes
So I sue apple because the battery of my phone died and there is no replacement part purchase able from them
What law do I cite?
There is a fair number of right to repair bills that passed the senate and are in effect
okay I'll take this as valid and my own bad wording.
thank you
also precedents arent a guarantee the next court would get to the same result
i don't think that's a thing to sue for unless it was a warranty issue.
...
So I am not guaranteed the right to repair my device
also true but thankfully Appealing exist and higher courts can over-rule previous ones
I am just not disallowed from it
havign THE RIGHT to repair something is not the same as THE ABILITY to repair it.
you are conflating two different things
yes but those could also over rule to favor the other party just as likely
if a part doesn;t exist it doesn't exist.
Right to repair requires that the parts be purchaseable
no it doesn't
All the auto laws require it
it means you are allowed legally to repair something
No
yes
How can you repair something without the parts?
irrelevant to if it's legal or not legal to repair it at all
If you own something you are allowed to do whatever you want with it
again
The LEGAL RIGHT to repair somethings is not the same as THE ABILITY to repair something
and yet apple and john deer and a couple other companies sue people for doing that. they don't always win.
If you are guaranteed the right to repair, it is required that the parts be purchaseable that are nescessary for the repairs
no it is not
i don't understand how you come to that conlcusion
i outlined the differences
ABILITY and LEGAL RIGHT
You don't own a John Deere tractor is the problem
And you don't own the software on the apple device which is what apple has successfully sued using
you do if you buy it, actually
John Deere disagrees
digital media ownership was settled in the 70s
Please be aware that if you agree to the license agreement, you are bound to it
that's their factually wrong opinion 🙃
and they have money to scare people
And you are required to agree to the license agreement to use the device
Terms of Services are not legal binding.
More specifically the software on the device
nor do they over rule laws
Extracts the files from the installer and manually puts them into their places bypassing the ToS
Good luck on ios
apple is more anal tight than nintendo. it's why i don't buy their phones.
Just because you don't buy the devices doesn't mean that you are magically allowed to ignore their license agreement if you do eventually buy one...
that absolutely made no sense.
Now you may be able to fight the license agreement in court
license agreements/terms of services are not legal binding.
And successfully
However contract law is very straightforward
They are legally binding
It is
Terms Of Services cannot legally be enforced if they take away someone's rights, like for repairs.
Again there is legal precedent for overturning them
But they are legally binding
There is no legal right to repair
i'm not talking about contracts of RENTING farm equipment or such
On phones
okay well
lets agree to disagree because we aren't goign to get anywhere with that
different topic?
Look
If you pay a subscription to use the tractor software (which you need to make the tractor work) you are beholden to the license agreement
only in terms that they can remove you from said license agreement by their own rules and whims.
but if you BOUGHT the tractor, they can't tow it away
and they can't do anything if you bypass said software with your own.
Sure but they can make it inoperable which is the actual problem
and thats where modding comes in 😄
The problem is so far efforts have failed at that
then we need to get the guys behind game cracks to work on that.
cause what do you think happens when they end-of-life the service for said traktors?
or if the buisness goes down?
Wow
It's almost as if it should be illegal to do that...
now say that to your house door that remains locked until you access a foreign server
and see how logn it takes for you to crack it when the servers are gone.
The problem is so far it is legal for Deere to do this bs so that's why we need laws
they found a loophole, yes.
and yes we do need stronger Right to repair laws.
we agree on those.
Can you children go back to talking about funky tech stuff now
Again tho
There is no law that guarantees that it be possible to repair the device
Regardless of ability
AHAHAAHA

First thing I see when I open social media
Still not passed :/
Wasn't Louis R. in NY originally before he moved?
so I technicallycorrect so i'll take my internet cookie. X3
this says passes, how is it not passed?
yeah it passed but it needs a year
Well soon to be in effect then, progress at last
and they had similar cases in the past that ended up as not laws after all
The governor hasn't signed it
so its not without precedent that it could still fail
We have been really close many many times :(
unless lobbyism is done by apple and john deer, it probably maybe will get passed fully.
but of course it's legal for millions of dollars to suddenly appear in their bank account and he says no 🙂
maybe, but I remember rossman citing at least 3 times a proposal made it that far, usually before a long break and after the break they suddenly decided to not put it into law after all
so lobby money can still stop this
I hope it doesn't but it could
Tf is that spaceship
that looks way longer than the average
Intel will release their own cases just to fit that massive schlong?
Quick someone steal it and run benchmarks
idk those fans look pretty normal size
Perspective looks shit
also i have my doubts about intel being a serious competitor in the gaming GPU market. They've made APUs yes but they've typically always sucked because they don't bother with things like OpenGL and other important bits :V
They won't be anytime soon
Best case scenario they help with availability
Assuming anybody even wants their cards
I imagine their shit will crash constantly
Can't expect them to have good drivers
look at the height ( on it's side) and you can get an estimate of the size fo it. it's going to fit the slit on the backside of conventional comptuer cases so that's a set height.
using that as reference : it's long as fuck
Assuming the thing's the top SKU with 16 gigs of G6, that's about what I would expect for a card that rivals a 3070
it's probably the same length as mine if not a tad longer. mine has too much excessive annoying plastic.
Alright fuck off
"prices drop"
it is a drop. in the sense of returning closer towards normal. NFT crashing so they aren't buyign as much GPU
you can go to bestbuy and find market retail prices
It's around double the length of the pcie slot...
That's really short...
whats the conversion to euro?
I CAN GET A DAMN 6900XT FOR SAME PRICE
check amds store, they literally have cards in stock at msrp right now...
Hell's with the 6800 availability
double?! hell naw thats 3 or 4 times
yes they do...
Que?
But I only see the xx50 cards bruh
Anybody have a link for a proper EU store?
i'm thinking of waiting for the next generation coming out this year though. a more bigger jump from the 5700XT III
he just linked the eu store...
AMD keeps redirecting to an U.S store
That sell 6800XT at 300 euros over MSRP
idk what you are talking about I can buy this and its an eu shop
300 over is still an improvement over 1000. it'll get better over time.
6750 for 600? thats not a bad price.
But does the add to cart button work for you it doesn't for me pepelaugh
are you using a VPN or something?
I bought a 5800x3d for a friend recently so I can confirm it works
try exiting the website and googling back into it
the link provided was specifically a US one
No my link should redirect you to the proper one for yer country
Perspective is super messed up
It's ultra wide squeezed + at an angle
If it don't then your country isn't worthy
AMD literally redirects from EUR store to USD if you click on "amd.com availability"
the angle is consistent though
and thankfulyl these are hard edges lol
lets draw some lines then
I kind doubt that based on the amount of people I saw getting cards with their bots from that site...
I just realized i forgot i don't have graphic editing software on ym laptop yet and forgot to install them
Its really dang close
i recommend waiting to buy a video card until the new ones come out
^^^^^
Yeah it worked in incognito guess some of my extensions make it act up pepelaugh
oh absolutely, was just to show the amd store has eu options
Nah I'm waiting for now, the next gen is too close to release
i legit cannot tell what you are doing to tell anything honestly.
Unless you get a 1080ti for 150 lol
Evga is having some insane sales
Yeah I dunno why the AMD store keeps redirecting me to the americas
👍
Bottom of grid is aligned with bottom of card
Pcie slot back end is aligned with the first line from the bottom
Second line is double the distance from io to back of pcie slot
A bit too close for me to shell out a grand on a 6900
Yup
gotta save your money for your electricity bill
Kind of hard to imagine that next gen actually launches in a month
but the X axis grid line is much shorter than the Y axis line
And me too also waiting for next gen now.. just gotta hold out a bit longer...
but not july, august is the latest date someone mentioned
I'm measuring against the length of the pcie slot
Not the size of the io shield
it still looks 3-4 times longer than it is taller.
Sure
It's a short card
Kopite mentioned mid July
the IO shield is what gives you the length
What
because it has a set height
it's all standardized
if oyu know the height, which is the size of the standard measurement to fit in a normal CU case : you know the length
roughly*
by stacking the height length along the card
yes but that info from kopite was a bit older
Well we have the announcement for the announcement for the launch on June 9 I'm guessing
also i said fuckit and googled it : it's 396mm. which is longer than other flagships
.. tahts the die size not the card size
Lol
?
the arc die is 396mm^2
40 cm card does sound tiny
not the length of the card lol
n-no? that's the legnth from one end to the next. of the whole video card.
i said mm, millimetres.
So it's 40 cm
not nanometers
yes a die is not nanometers big lol
Von bon, how old are you again?
long boi
what do you mean by "die" then?
the gpu chip
we weren't talking abotu the chip size
I know..
we were talking about the length fo the whole card
but you googled and came back with the area of the die..
Look at this image
The line in red is 150mm
It's slightly under 300mm long
i'm not crazy here
is a long boi
It isn't that long geez
ok, other question, where did you get teh 396mm from
ok, what google result did you get your number from..
hold on my screenshot broke
metric innit
That's the die size
Read the article
bruh
It's mm2
Mm2 is area of something
okay no. a chip is not FIFTEEEN INCHES LONG
I mean it's not a flat object
396mm2 is tiiiiiny, so it must be the chip
bruh
it's the area of it
I think whoever wrote that article mixed up some measurements
but thats ... squared isn't it?
It's something like 20x20mm
AREA not LENGTH
because
40cm is not tiny
its a rectangle
^
this is confusing
no it really isnt
well i thought it was exponential cause area, not ... uh. whatever that is.
multiply the length x height you get the number you saw
Anyways, nobody really knows how long those cards will be
They aren't in retail yet
how does it come out to 15 inches long?
coincidence
ok im trying to break this down once more on the hopeful believe you are not trolling
it has a area of 396 mm SQUARED
We have a 2nd Lana now, let's prosper lads
dies but also has to go afk to drive home
It's less than 156 x2 mm long
So it's less than the length of the founders 3080 at the same height and width
I dont know american units but I know area size does not suddenly turn into length...
cute
oh so it's not that big, probably as big as my current card then
like a foot long or so
its a very different card
30ish cm
thats not the same as the one we talked about from the IEM event showcase
It's likely smaller than most gpus tbh
It's only 2 slots
I was looking at pictures it does look thin
Anyways lads
Here is some scientific guesstimations
The card does look like 23 cm's long
more importantly, in regards to zen4 only using ddr5
DDR5 memory drops below €5 per gigabyte, 20% cheaper in a month
https://t.co/jT6tk7vZCa
oh wow
And we have 6400 c32 now
It's getting faster and lower latency by the month
GDDR or DDR?
DDR
Ddr
RAM
In what world 8 gigs of DDR5 cost 40 euros
In a world where the smallest stick you can buy is 16
tbh it seems better to go with 2 sticks of 16 if just for the voltages
Yea don't buy those
But hey at least it's an option
Which is geizhals
4 ics per channel ain't enough
16 requires a minimum of 8 ics atm which is nice
Wtf since when is 16GBs of DDR4 50$
Why was I under the illusion 16 gigs of RAM costed 100$
it used to
also funny that you want two sticks for dd4 but one for ddr5 for OC results lol
at least currently
Ahhh I see why
That's ddr4 lmao
I got a pair of 32gb sticks for $80 each
About what I'd expect I guess
Tf would be the purpose of buying high speed DDR4 anymore if you can instead get DDR5
Speedyboi stuff is spensiv still
Ddr4 is still alot faster at the high end
But muh MHz
you also cant really chose but gotta get what your board supports
Mt/s
Mbps masterrace
Mountains per second?
Mountains bikes*
Ah I see
people that are still on ddr4 boards
either spending 100 bucks on the RAM, or like 400 on a new mobo
