Got so used to combine mouse for faster movements with trackpad for more precise ones

I have really high DPI, but even without it, mouse just does not allow me to completely stop the movement exactly where I want and it travels bit more, while I feel like I have full control over trackpad. And even in games, I got so used to combining it.
For example, yesterday, because mobo is on my table so I can’t play there atm, I was just for few minutes playing on laptop without mouse, and I found out that actually most of the things I was going were normal, and as I was doing some things automatic, I had things happen where I used trackpad, when for example in war thunder moving turret of my tank little bit, and only when I wanted to turn it like 90 degrees, I reached for mouse that was not there, but then again for trackpad, so I get both quicker movement from mouse, but can control exactly where do I aim at the end

It may just be by my mouse having 6400 dpm, but also, laptop has smaller display so higher dpm than monitor is usual

Still, this got me thinking about buying a trackpad, and from reviews I have seen, going from mac to windows, it would be best to still go for Apple Magic Trackpad, I would just need to install some non official drivers from GitHub to be able to use it.

May be, I also only used mouse before, however, when I was doing stuff in blender, sketch up and KiCad, I barely used mouse, just for right clicks and stuff, because apart from more precise movement, that even 1600DPI did not have, also scrolling, and zooming in, while on mouse limited by mouse wheel, was lot easier to do quickly and accurately on the trackpad

And also things like switching between tabs are kinda Pog about the trackpad

But, basically, the trackpad this laptop has is just really accurate and also has nice functionality

Also, one question, how is it with being able to click anywhere on trackpad on windows external trackpads? It really surprised me as I was used to it, but from what I have heard in many reviews, most of the windows trackpads are not clickable anywhere, only on some parts.

Hmm.

I don't see a single screw on the back of the card. You should be able to wiggle/yank the entire heatsink and frame off .

I think it's just the thermal paste that's "glueing" the two together.

But without knowing exactly what card you're holding I can't really look up a disassembly.

My Ref 2080 from Zotac was pretty straightforward. My 3080 though.

It's always a fun time when the screws you have left won't grab the threading but the card seems to be "together" 😄

Yes - This is 100% a me mistake for not marking the screws as I took them out to begin with.

My suggestion when it comes to putting new thermal paste on it, is to take out a credit card, put a small line on the die and scrape it out with the card.

You'll basically want the entire die (edge to edge, corner to corner) covered in a very thin layer.

Like putting plaster on a wall before tiling, just much smaller 😄
