Actually, I'm wondering why the RTX 6000 blackwell PRO can be more power efficient than the 5090 even though they are the same die. Like I know the 6000 card is using the full die, so more CUDA cores/tensor cores/RT cores unlocked

But it's crazy how 800 W RTX 5090 only trade blows with the 6000 blackwell and cannot cleanly win it, even though the 6000 blackwell is running on way lower TGP and is not optimized for gaming at all

And yes, the RTX 5090 has terrible performance scaling beyond 600 watts. The 800 W RTX 5090 gained roughly 10% more performance while consuming 20% more power when compared to a regular 5090. The performance per watt is absolutely atrocious once you go past the best efficiency point of the 5090

Also, many reddit comments also asked this but I'm wondering how can you possibly draw 2000 Watt of power for the GPU alone. Most PSUs don't go beyond 1600 Watt, although I know 2000 Watt PSUs exists but still.

Also, can a power socket really draw more than 2000 watts? What about the power cable for the GPU? The 12-volt high failure connector is already the most unstable piece of electrical engineering junk possible for these high powered GPUs, even if you combine with Asus's BTF connection, can you really pull 2000 Watts from a conventional power socket?
