most likely the native on it is 240Hz and it can OC to 280Hz, some manufacturers have practiced this for a while, like mine is advertised as 165Hz, you would think it's native, but in reality it's 144Hz OC-ed.

Trying to setup a raid1 and install ubuntu on it for a friend, I just want to punch a wall. Why is it so easy on Windows to just enable raid1 in bios and on you go while Linux just doesn't want work with that solution at all so you need to rely on mdadm.

I've googled like 5 different guides and none of them work, I get to the stage of installing Ubuntu but it won't show the md0 raid array. The Ubuntu installer just doesn't seem to support software raid.

I've tried using Ubuntu Server instead but then I can't get the GUI to work even after installing it.

Yup, just a really solid controller. I also like the feel of their d-pad, and I got very used to back buttons on the xbox elite controller as replacements for stick presses (the worst buttons IMO)

the ps5pro is in some part rdna4 and has the extra hardware blocks to enable fsr4 down the line in a different way thats why it can work

Unless you live in Denmark, you might as well look elsewhere. Shipping is expensive and a nightmare from Denmark to anywhere. You'll have a much easier and cheaper time just finding one locally and doing the softmod on it real quick. And then deciding if you want to hardmod it.

The speculation is that said version of FSR4 only exists for PS5 Pro and/or the Steam Machine.

oh the steam machine isnt semi-custom really, thats just what they are calling it to get longer driver support and its like 10w higher on the gpu

the steam machine doesnt have any special hardware, its a 220 and a 7600m with upped power limit

the ps5pro has extra hardware blocks which are better than rdna3 but not all of rdna4 so it can be made but not just take fsr4

If it will be for Steam Machine then it will be for all RDNA3 GPUs on Linux, because Valve only uses and contributes to Mesa drivers and refuses to use anything else
And not like AMD proprietary drivers are a thing anyway nowadays on Linux
