Hardware macros are a lot harder to detect. And we haven't been interested in partaking in that subculture.

Software macros are easy to make, easy to detect and block if a game wants to.

Hardware macros = Are stored on the hardware, the keyboard and when activated will do everything IN the keyboard. Software (Games or otherwise) do not have any way to easily detect and block this.

Most gaming keyboards use hardware macros - We do not (At least not beyond what Modtap/DKS allows for, which is basic key reassignment and combination macros)

SOFTWARE macros are done on your PC in an app. Like Wootomation, Autohotkey and others. Anticheat can easily block and block these apps if they choose to - this is ultimately the route we're going for at the moment.

Macros - But in a way that keeps things fair.

However - The dev in charge of our Wootomation app left the company a while back, and we haven't had the time and resources to rework it and do something with it that matches what we're doing with Wootility V5. But it's on the todo list.

So in the meantime. If you have a Wooting keyboard and need some kind of macro to do turbo inputs or recorded whatnots, you'll need an app like Autohotkey.
