My friend needed a tracing table but most of them are far out of her price range I told her hold on isn't that just a glossy surface with a white backlight, and aren't laptop screens using backlights?

So I took out my very old laptop with a busted motherboard (I took a mic from it a while back to build my friend a custom mic), managed to find schematics for the controller board of that screen, soldered an USB cable to the backlight controls and some fucking how I managed to build her a tracing "table" for under 30 euro

I wonder how many projects will this "laptop" be used in at this point I can't rly tell

The only card that I know of that didn't quite have enough VRAM was the 3GB 1060.
And that's because it had far more core power than a regular 3GB GPU would have.
And even it, became irrelevant pretty much at the same time as the 6gb variant, even though it had fewer cores on top of the less RAM.
