It won't stay quiet. It's a deceint-ish laptop but still very much flawed.

That being said, all laptops suck. Some just less than others. Closest you can get to a good laptop is either a behemoth form factor or water cooled one.

I want fast cpu (cause I'm a software dev) 32gb memory, and a decent graphics card but nothing special.
Need to run Linux well and have ok battery life (4hours)

Zephyrus S17 and Zephyrus Duo were their best laptops. The keyboard tilt allowed for much greater airflow without requiring obscenely large chassis or external cooling.
Zephyrus S17 is arguably the best of those. It wasn't priced super outrageously (at least compared to other laptops) and it has the more standard keyboard layout. The problem is that it was still too thin for it's own good and Asus' software is godawful which applies to all laptops they offer. And the screen was matte.

Zephyrus Duo 15 and 16 have 2 screens. That is a very big deal but ofc that drives the cost into the stratosphere. Duo 15 is a 15 inch laptop and so it's immediately at a disadvantage. The second screen on that one is also godawful. Duo 16 improves on every aspect on the predecessor but it now has mismatched screens (4K on the bottom and 1440p on the top). And the price got even more ridiculous.

Basically we need Zephyrus Duo 18 with 2 glossy screens that have matched resolution in a slightly thicker body. That would be the perfect laptop. And of course good software.
