Anyone who has the Audeze maxwells? I see them getting praised for their good audio quality, but they score fairly low with imaging/positional sounds on some reviews and rting website. As a hardcore high ranked FPS player cs/valo/cod it kinda scares me away from them. I do kinda have hope for them tho because they made EQ's for seperate FPS games, but still not 100% about them.
I've tried Logitech g pro x2 wireless (Got too muffled to hear footsteps when other things were happening, Acezone A-spire (very decent, but too much cable noise..) and razer Blackhark v2 2023 (has bad connection issues) gonna return the blacksharks

well, it's kinda true. Positional sound is kinda weird on the Maxwell at first, but easy to get used to. Other than that they're expensive, but worth it. Given its 90mm planar drivers and insane tuning involved

i'd also suggest you to get at least 2 spare headbands and a pair of cups from Wicked Cushions

You can easily remove the spacer that makes it proprietary

There also are adapters to convert it if you don't want to do that

Removing the proprietary spacer also doesn't break warranty either, if anything Sennheiser reccomends it for if your audio keeps cutting out

I got a program I'm trying to run with wine, got all the dependencies installed it wants but upon launching it consistently page faults after claiming

and I can't boot it up. it looks to me like it's having trouble with setting a language/locale and so I've tried setting different locales with `LANG=` or `LC_ALL=` yet the page fault persists

the fixme doesn't even look like something that should lead to a page fault but sure enough it's on the same thread as the the fixme so it's all I can try to fix for now and see if I can get it running

If you like the way foams fit and sound then I see no problems, I personally don't use them just because I don't like how they sound on certain iems, they tend to reduce treble and increase bass

Main issue other than that with foams is you can't exactly clean them like silicone ones, I wouldn't recommend cleaning them often. If you do need to clean them I would recommend just soaking them in hot water and letting them thoroughly dry

I’ve been looking for good budget wireless mice. I’ve come across the Darmoshark M3S Mini and the VXE R1 Pro Max. (I want the purple variant)
I’m stuck between these 2. They are very similar in price in my region (50€) and I’d like to know if any of you have used either of these mice. How are they? How do they compare? How’s the quality with each?

Also there seems to be a great difference in the colour as well. The Darmoshark Purple looks to be more intense while the R1 Pro Max Purple appears to be more pastel.
I’ve looked for pictures in natural light for both but I couldn’t find many for the Darmoshark M3S since most of them either have coloured studio lights or filters applied. The R1 Pro Max Purple doesn’t have many pictures online either. However, I’ll add the ones I found. The ones with the shark fin are Darmoshark, the non-branded is the R1 Pro.

Which one should I get?
I’m leaning towards the R1 Pro Max just because I like pastels more than hard matte colours (if it is indeed pastel)

4k doesn't always mean 4k. In reality 4k polling ends up being more around 3.2 to 3.5k polling, depending on the distance to the dongle as well as the cable and where it's plugged into

It honestly depends on the mouse. Some look amazing with holes, like the BeastX. Some just don't. And I agree that it's not for everyone. But I think of it like a racecar. You're going to sacrifice aesthetics and etc. for performance and weight

Honestly, I'm not that big into mice unlike some people I know. I wouldn't recommend swapping switches either. The most I've done is get a hotswap PCB for my Superlight.

For the majority, most mice switches sound pretty good.
