people in 2022 got shafted
and that is significantly more than some months production lmfao
How much do you get paid per kWh for sending back to the grid? At least % wise
And you pay what?
So your reimbursement is over 90%
Assuming you got under 10kwh off solar
Over 100% otherwise
Vs our 15%
uh I think you misunderstoof, I get 8.2 and I pay 23
Ooooh
or 50 next month rather
Oh so its basically the same
but thats also only recentrly, was like 6cent till the changes they made
and it's constantly going down
Same
We were grandfathered in on a net metering plan until just this year
So if we gave back 20 and used 20 we just pay grid connection fee
the big joke is if you have a setup that is 100% to put it into the grid you only get like 12cent
Ripperoni
so for anyone who has lots of free area and wouldn't need it isn't really incentivised to set something up
well, it still should make profit after some time, but nowhere near as much compared to a price that would be closer to what a consumer pays
Our meter is still in the negative lol
99999something kWh total through the meter
Bc they CBA to make a meter that doesn't flip around to max value when going below 0
at least we finally removed the 70% limit
Wassat?
until this year you could only add 70% of you max power to the grid
so if you are not at home and use 0% you would only be able to put 70% into the grid
Well that is a transformer thing
but that includes arrays for that only have like 1kw total
there was no limit of when that hits
I don't need your sass lol
?
I just think it was dumb because it would literally limit you when you only had a single panel
It's for the calculations for power rating of the transformers
the reason was so they could better predict load on the grid
which was called out to be bullshit since day one since you could see the grid would've had no issue with it and that's why it's removed again
what they tell you 😉
Yep
Anyways vehicle to home/grid hype
silliest part of it is that it gets applied retroactively to 7kwp setups, but for new ones it applies to up to 25kwp 🤡 makes no sense but better than nothing
Wouldn't have that problem with v2g
Don't like the rates? Just only use it to charge the car
yeah that is coming at some point
would just prefer more logical rules so the grid can work with more renewables but gl when politicians exist
It is in fact a pain for the powerplant operators tho
while I wont say that is incorrect, it is something that was to be expected and would've been fine if the planned infrastructure upgrades had been done that were planned for like 10 years now or more xD
Who will pay for the grid when everyone produces their own electricity!
oh did I say 10 years? 2004 the plan was to build 7500km of power lines
we got less than 1/10 of that now
You know the manufacturer of your panels btw?
china
How did you spec the inverter?
Sure but that costs money
Afaik you want it to be a slightly underspec'd vs the output
uhhhhh would have to check, dont remember right now
15kwpeak for it if this is the right spec im looking at
and you got 15kw of panels?
something around 13ish
Hummhmm
electrician specced that out I trust him more than me xD
😄
Basically you want little less than theoretical max peak output, since it's more efficient. Larger spec takes a bigger pie from output just to operate itself.. But I wouldn't know how microinverters change that
I want to setup solar with ghp in a few years, thats gonna be pain
good hygene practice?
Close, ground heat pump
oh yeah something like that is the plan here too
but not too soon, the gas heating is only 8 years old or so bc it had to be replaced so doesnt make sense to switch it already
That's just for cost optimization
also ironically despite the panels sitting here its also a pain to get parts since they are so much in backorder so idk if there was even another choice
Yeah thats my thinking too. My district heating system is abt 10 years old. And it looks like this
May live for another 10 years yet
Ye I just read some of the most efficient consumer ones have abt 22-23% rn from sunpower, LG, etc.
Shouldnt matter too much
yeah its 405 or 410w modules, there are better ones out already but there will always be better stuff
meh during the winter it's way high for me, 1355kWh for last month
YouTube changed again
No more icons to do things on the bottom of the Fullscreen view
And you can't slide up to see more videos either
I hate how accurately this describes the sound of a disk drive being used
What type of discs did the 360 use?
Cause every game I had for that was way larger than 2gb in size
Ooohhhh
Hmmm
I swear some of the Cod games I had are larger
Maybe cause I only know the size on Steam and that most likely has higher resolution textures included

Saw this yesterday, and I have to disagree
60 and 65 should be flipped
60% makes more sense to me than 65
I think you misread the image then
all but fullsize are in the same category there
also its singular vs plural
It's ironic cause I own a gmmk 2 96%, Gmmk Pro 75%, and now the wooting 60% in a few weeks. Guess I'm just weird. 😂
I mean all of them combine features of the next bigger one without being much larger than the next smaller one
Looks like shite
would agree there, but that is subjective
Southpaw fullsize would be the best of both worlds
I don't want a numpad at all though
No that are the 3 that make sense
75 sadly does indeed look questionable
that creeps me out
why is the alpha cluster not mirrored
smh not true lefty keyboard
same for f row

Very cursed 😄
Imo if you're going to do something as odd as this, you might as well not space the F row and just keep it all together.
im just confused how a lefty would use wasd and the. nav cluster at the same time

TechSpurt - Samsung Galaxy S23 review
Meanwhile in Apple's camp
NOTCH, NOTCH, NOTCH!
People that remember 2015-2020 era are basically saying am I a joke to you
We went from "make the notch smaller", to "bring the notch back"
Samsung: Mocks Apple for removing headphone jack
Also Samsung: Does the same since their next set of flagships
Samsung: Mocks Apple for making a notch
Also Samsung: Makes a notch on every phone since then
Samsung: Mocks Apple for not shipping charger bricks with their phones
Also Samsung: Stops giving charger bricks with their phones
🤦♀️
it says "keyboard not found" does anyone know how to fix it?
Wootility Web?
Using what browser?
chrome
Oh, are you using the cable that came with the keyboard?
Let's go through the checklist.
Does the keyboard itself work?
Does it light up? can you type keys?
....
...
:')
errrrm
why
Why ... why what? Why will our software made for our keyboards only work with our keyboards? For the same reason that Razer's Chroma software won't work with a Steelseries or Corsair keyboard. 🙂
Stop being arrogant, I just asked a question, mentally ill.
Well that wasn't very nice 😄
be nice to the duck :<
we love you duckman(sen)
download this
why did you ask a mentally ill question
normal people who don't understand the subject asking questions
no need to get hostile, wooting's software is for wooting keyboards so if you have a different brand you need to use their software that's all
ok thanks bro
How much have you made from using Brave browser?
Nothing because I don’t trust them more than google so I just stick to chrome
I rather just know stuff works or can find more people fix it rather then have to figure out why something won’t work when a site was made only for chrome in mind
Not worth my time
What’s this I hear of a prototype keypads??!?
I don't know. What did you hear.
just take an old windows and put that on your desk
Pulsar pad
What kind of glass is it?
Think pulsar is the best deal atm
95 for 420x490
I can live with 400x450 on the razer but not for 100
Thought the razer might have been made of gorilla glass like the skates on the $280 mouse
Guess not
aliexpress companies during graveyard shift
At least for the razer you can probably get them at microcenter or bestbuy in person. Skypad and pulsar is an extra 20 for shipping
The cerapad is the most unique with the ceramic coating

I don't use dark mode on any device, really
- I have yet to seen one that looks good
- Light mode just is more inviting
This one looks good for example
Also I'm using the white/black hybrid which looks amazing with the contrast
To flies in your room? Sure but it gets pretty annoying when they always buzz and fly over your screen
Major issues with burn in on OLEDs
Been reported many times that on mobile the discord black mode is really not good
What fucking flies, where do you live, the dumpsteryard?
You should clean up instead of preaching about preferences and maybe then it'll be suddenly better
I am using discord hours a day on phone, still no burn in
https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyNote8/comments/7xt75i/screen_burn_in_after_using_discord_for_a_while/
2 votes and 10 comments so far on Reddit
This was so damn common back in 2018
I had a friend who had the same thing, screen became darker
Then you have me who never had a phone with OLED and IPS LCD > OLED
Don't create a problem to then look for solutions for
Wouldn’t burn In be way more likely with light mode
burn in doesn't depend on colour, numbnuts
it depends on the pixels resting at a given colour for extended periods of time

Well I used burn in for maybe ~700 hours on this phone
Probably bit less
But no burn in
And it’s OLED and I use dark mode
Didn't Discord eventually roll out AMOLED-optimized dark mode
my note 8 has some mad burn in lol
It was really bad back in 2018
Eventually they fixed it
Still, dark mode just doesn't hit the same as that nice white
Which I don’t use
Isn't that just built in right now
So.. permanently toggled since like 2020
what's annoying about samsung is they make no disclaimers or warnings in their documentation anywhere about potential burn-in issues to my knowledge
just leaves it to the consumer to find out the hard way
Can you send a photo of the amoled one
I am confused which is which
Because the fully black one IPhones never got
Idk wtf it looks like
Yet only burn in I kinda have is the bottom bar you slide up in any app to switch apps
Googled it, it’s not on iPhones
So for me I am using this for long time, no burn in
why would iphone want amoled
Cause iPhones been using OLED since iPhone 12?
but there is a difference
ironically by using the console to successfully change the discord theme I just got that prompt to get nitro for changing themes
also yes amoled is type of oled, amoled themes are still supposed to prevent burn in on other oled types
AI getting goood
Oh boy...

that's why prompts exist

Im going to reinstall Windows tomorrow....
How do I stop the installer from seeing the other drives in my system?
unplug them
that is not a good solution .-. cause I cant unplug the GPU to remove the m.2 drive under it
cause I wont have any video out then
so disable it in bios
o, how?
the drive under your gpu is not the one you want to install windows to?
shouldnt that be slot 1
currently, Windows is installed on a SATA SSD
y though
cause its the SSD I brought over from my previous computer once we stopped using it as a server machine
popped it into my new PC and installed Windows alongside Linux
wouldn't it make more sense to install it on the faster nvme?
Cause Linux was on the M.2
I could now tbf... cause I dont dual boot anymore
I have a 256GB M.2
Disk 2 is the Linux M.2
and yes I know it's not the best idea to unplug them but that way we can prevent any potential "windows broke something else" cases when it literally wasn't able to
since apparently it breaks stuff for you it doesnt for anyone else
Hell 🪱
updates breaking your dual boot and such
Yeah....during updates it could break dual boot
yeah, but I aint dual booting anymore
yes but the general idea, if there is nothing else in the system neither user nor windows could break something
So I wanna install Windows to Disk 2... over-write the Linux install there cause its a faster M.2 drive
I need to check how to temporary disable the drive slots in UEFI
just go to the tab for devices or something and disable them
🤔
really??
that seems like a thing they should be able to do

It should be fine... unless the current Windows install on the now other drive will cause issues?
You jinxed it
wait.... thats a SATA drive, I can straight unplug it
I dont need it in the PC anyway once I have Windows on the M.2
it it bad to leave unused sata power cables loose inside the PC case when I unplug the SSD?
my PSU is not modular...
its fine
dust wont cause issues?
highly unlikely
I assume the PSU doesnt send power through a cable if its not plugged into something, right?
idk
In order for power to flow there needs to be a closed circuit. That is to say a path from the active pin, to the neutral or ground pins.
You could almost think of it as water flowing in pipes (the wires). Except the water cannot leave the pipes without a lot of pressure (voltage)
what if a speck of dust landed inside the cable connector?
could that cause a spark or something?
do you have metal dust flying around
ooh
🤦♀️ right
dust isnt conductive
Ok
New plan
Get my windows install USB ready
Unplug the SATA SSD windows is currently on
Thus making sure that the m.2 SSD is the only 256gb drive I have plugged in
Install Windows onto that m.2 SSD
the only difference between the 60he and two he is size right?
Yes yes
Basically
basically?
You miss out on the dedicated profile switching keys on the 60HE, accessing them via FN layer instead
But that's all
why is the 60he much more popular than the full size then
because people prefer the 60% size
Cause people like small boards!
advantages of a smaller board?
its smaller on your desk
Because people have been waiting for the 2HE to restock since last summer
Used less desk space
Lots more portable
Less keys to manually lube if you want to do that
I mean that's just a side effect of the 60 having more demand so parts got moved to the 60he batches right?
To some extent. Not entirely
is there a difference in quality/feel between picking the ansi us vs iso?
abs vs pbt
People used to swap 60orders to 2 because 2 used to be in stock while 60 weren't. And then we ran out fast as a result.
US American or Europe*
I'm either getting ansi us or iso spanish, but if the ansi us is going to be higher quality then I'm fine just using alt code for "ñ"
batch says EU
ISO os European, ANSI is US layout.
L shaped enter or I shaped. Long shift, short shift.
the one I have right now is ansi then
could i possibly rebind a key to have it work as another that I miss?
All the functions a fullsize can do are already bind to the FN layer
Hold FN and press the corresponding key!
because 100% keyboards are kinda mid
elaborate
TKL is quite popular too but there ain't a wooting 1HE
Genuinely TKL and below are quite popular in the gaming community
well, everywhere that ain't office work or normal people haha
but I just don't feel like sacrificing practicality over "keyboard big no want"
I guess it's just preference
keyboards are usually just preference
I don't really need the numpad, I'd get a tkl version of the wooting but there just isn't one so I'll get the full size
shooter player = usually low sernse mouse = fullsize can have issues with you slamming hand into the keyboard when moving mouse
doesnt apply to all
I've been playing on a laptop no issue with mouse slamming
I don't see why I'd personally have that problem with a full size mechanical keyboard
Because it's wider than your laptop?
what is your mouse sensitivity
not enough to be noticeable, at least not by me
some games mid, some games low
and some people play at 400dpi with same game settings so thats a lot more space needed
..and how big's your mousepad?
that's high
I have an artisan L so about 42cm wide haha
25cm/360
yeah I dont think that is a low sense relatively
yup
I consider 30cm/360 to be medium so yea that's on the higher side
I mean, even if I were to have any issues related to space I think I'd still prefer a keyboard with a higher % than 60
programming is the second thing I do the most on my pc
after of gaming, so yeah
What editor do you use that makes heavy use of FN keys haha
having those keys helps
just general use of the keys, not necessarily an IDEs shotcuts
I mean this is correct, it is. My preferences changed over the years tho, went from full to tkl to 60 and I'd never ever want to use full for anything anymore. Tkl for work maybe, but 60 has been good for that too
You implied programming was the reason for preferring a large keyboard tho
general programming usage
....better wording of my question
what do you use the fn keys for
i speak as a neovim chad
reload page, some shortcuts, info page, etc
also, some keybinds I have bound to FN keys
like discord's
or in-game binds sometimes
It's not a necessity tbh
but I think it'd be uncomfortable using fn everytime I want to use them
that's why there's modtap
still something I'll figure out, I'm not in an urge
and DKS
is that that you can have 2 binds and press one or the another based on depth?
tho might not be super wise for the numrow haha
yup hahah
DKS is that, I think modtap is tap vs hold
yah you can have different functions in the same key, depending if you tap it or hold. Dks allows 4
On different points of the actuation
I mean, you're starting to convince me hahah
might have to get a bit used to it but it doesn't seem impractical at all now
There's a lot to disvover for sure
also note that you don't have to use the FN key
if you're sane you don't use the caps lock key, so that's a free custom layer key in a really convenient position
This is my 65% for reference
yeah
yeah caps is my hotkey for wincompose for any sort of keybinds

No shame in getting the worse option (100%) if you prefer it
you can always return it and get the 2he if you can't vibe with it
...
how is a full size objectively worse?
gaming related it surely is objectively slightly worse
except for games that require numpad
Well technically there's a 0.4ms latency penalty
in which case not using a full size means you're absolutely fucked
sure
gap was closed with firmware updates iirc
that and...seriously
that's nothing
no one would ever notice that in actual play

Hence technically and only mentioning it after saying it was snark
if you're usa based ansi will probably be better for you anyway and uh pbt is kind of higher quality, a bit rougher feeling surface too
not us based but I could get used to it definitely
if you aren't in the US, I'd just get an ISO board
idk I've always used iso
it's what you're used to
no need to break up the routine for no reason
quality-wise I'm worried though
how so?
hmmmmm
iso has no pbt keycaps
likewise
national standard where I am is ISO
not on the site atlest
yes, it does
unless you're talking about the french or spanish layouts
spanish
aftermarket caps exist
I have nordic iso doubleshot pbt caps
is that an extra spend?
uh yeah any mx stemmed keycaps will work so you probably have a a lot to choose from, you can order the abs caps and see if they're good for you and if not then get anything else
beware of the rabbit hole though
yes
and they won't cost that much
can easily get caps in more common euro layouts for less than 25€
and you'll save 10€ not getting any caps with your wooting over the ABS caps
also
do legends matter to you that much?
legends?
the characters on the keycaps
the OS does the keyscan interpretation, so it doesn't actually matter what is on them unless you need to constantly reference them
anyway ima head to bed, it's 3am here
nightnight guys
if you can touch type, meaning not need to reference those caps
just rock the ISO PBT caps
¯_(ツ)_/¯
I rocked wooting's ABS ISO UK caps before I put aftermarket caps on it
I type with ISO International layout and can touch type, so that never actually mattered to me
it was the feel of the ABS that bothered me tbh
what exactly is touch typing?
not looking at the keyboard
You can type without needing to lock at the keyboard to see where keys are
from wikipedia
Touch typing (also called blind typing, or touch keyboarding) is a style of typing. Although the phrase refers to typing without using the sense of sight to find the keys—specifically, a touch typist will know their location on the keyboard through muscle memory
muscle memory doesn't change keyboard to keyboard lol
unless it's a dramatic shift in actual layout
like staggered to ortho
that was a trip to relearn
Samsung keyboards beg to differ.
Or Lenovo laptop keyboards swapping fn and Ctrl
My father used to have a Samsung galaxy book and my god the key sizing/spacing was just.. wrong
to be fair, it took some relearning for my macbook
that was mainly because it was ansi and I'm hardwired to ISO
fuckin hitting backslash instead of enter
or backslash not being next to left shift where I expect it to be
and instead ABOVE ENTER
should be to the left of enter smh
and now I can tell I hit my enter key lower on my wooting
in line with the backslash key :\
"touch keyboarding" 💀
sounds like something truly disgusting I'd do with your mother
not something I do every day in a lecture hall or at home
Hmmm?
My local WiFi transfer is meh compared to just actually downloading over the internet.
I'm sure transfer is limited by upload speed?
Also....
Why you installing destiny on the Deck? You'll get banned ;_;
It's local network regardless and my router should do more
Just testing the new local transfer haha
Oh xd
I can stream games perfectly fine
The SSD is pretty fast on this thing
So local upload shouldn't be this meh
It peaked about 288
anyone know what keyboard layout is this?
Yes
Typical laptop layout!
Then again maybe gigabit WiFi upload isn't doable
Laptop keyboards don't tend to comply to layouts too well
what is closest to it?
oh
I'll just see what looks better to me then
ansi or iso
Sometimes they do
My laptop keyboard is mostly 65%
ANSI
then I cop the ansi pbt ones?
with spanish lasered legends
for the 60he
That keyboard is ansi based on the single row enter key
wait, isn't it iso actually?
ANSI is single row enter
yeah but the numbers though
But then again
Laptops take standard layouts and mutilate them pretty often
They do whatever they can try to fit as many keys as possible in the laptop
yes but it requires 2 devices
Download Iperf for free. iperf was developed by NLANR/DAST as a modern alternative for measuring maximum TCP and UDP bandwidth performance. Iperf allows the tuning of various parameters and UDP characteristics.
Ansi 75
Ah true
I did not look carefully enough.
75 being my wooting dream so I guess it’s just stuck in my mind. 😄
Yes.
then isnt the iso more similar to mine?
They kind of have to be on a purely physical basis.
Here's the only question we need to address - What language is this?
like it is ansi, but when I look at the keycaps' keybinds it looks different
right
spanish
its some spanish ansi weirdass abomination
https://next.wooting.io/product/wooting-etched-backlit-abs-keycap-set-black
You'll want to order ISO with the ABS Spanish keycaps then. Or ISO without ANY keycaps and buy some Spanish keycaps elsewhere.
it's a laptops keyboard what do you expect other than a weird ass keyboard
ight ight ty
any keycap recommendations?
well typically they don't go as far as botching the layout that far
some laptops beg to differ
like I've seen some weird laptop layouts here but they've all been iso at least
you're actually completely right
what the actual fuck is this layout
like it is ansi but they keybinds are put anywhere
what would you be your advise, should I just get the abs keycaps and change them later if I feel like?
or just buy with no keycaps and get some elsewhere
Up to you.
Why can the Task Manager show the Drive model name
BUT NOT THE FUCKING WINDOWS INSTALLER?????
.-.
it would make guessing what drive is what non-existent if it showed the fucking drive model
task manager shows it...
Maybe Microsoft knows.
Once I go to install Windows, I can unplug this drive... so that will make the drive I want to install it to, the only drive that is that size
Plasma desktop is laid out too similar to Windows desktop by default
Change it up a bit and make it different so that new users do not think it's going to work the same as Windows
The Linux Cast
I mean....
If you want different, use Gnome desktop :')
But yeah...if its too similar to Windows, people will assume it works the exact same as Windows and get pissed off when it doesnt
you can just use diskpart in a cmd while in the installer
I dont need to partition any drives
ooooohh
also the system would break anyway if you have multiple disks of the same make and model
and most people just flat out dont have more than 2 or 3 drives and if they have 2 or 3 its different sizes often
I have two drives of the same size
but im going to unplug the one Windows is currently installed to before I reinstall it to the new drive
UGH
IM GOING TO HAVE TO DEAL WITH THE JANKY EPIC GAMES WORKAROUND TO MAKE IT REALISE THE GAME IS ALREADY THERE
If you keep this up, I'll have to mute you in #🔌│tech and give you a personal rant thread 😛
oof
this is ironic
An app to remove most of Windows data collection is in the Microsoft Winget repo
how is it ironic
i know youre hell bent on making microsoft evil
but they really arent
Hey guys, I’m building a new Pc and I was worn wondering, should I get a 5800x3d or a 12600 for a 3070?
What are your most played games?
Well they are kinda cpu intensive, Minecraft Valorent over watch and some random triple a games
minecraft isnt the most cpu intensive
Well val and stuff
also not really
both of those cpus will knock out mc and vallorant
triple A youd need to be more specific
I don’t really play triple a idk why I said that
microplush ebul
But it’s just the 58003d is a 100 dollars more
And I was wondering if it was over kill for a 3070
they should be around the same performance wise if you dont really do any OC or run high speed memory
so you just use 3200 or 3600 ram itll be the same
My GTX 1660 can handle those games just fine.... Xd you definitely don't need a 3070 for them
Oh so it would be cheaper and almost the same to go intel?
It’s not about the gpu Lana
You'd be fine with any of those CPUs
Get whatever is cheaper and whatever your motherboard allows
Alright thanks 😘
if you can find the 12600k for 100bucks less maybe
it does eat more power
although thats TDP
Is it harder to cool
Ya
AMD are great for efficiency
ya
if youd run it 100% loaded all the time the amd might be better
but in games itll hover below 50 id guess
Vague statements like this almost always wrong or have massive edge cases
Power effeciency*
That’s not what I mean with vague
doesnt change the vagueness
np
Fr you should just pick for me
i dont get paid enough for that lol
Lmao
What motherboard do you have?
none
I’m building a fresh pc
they want to buy it
🍷🗿
Which is technically more powerful?
but ya the intel might be good if you play older MC
Prob the amd
where everything is single threaded
I do
the intel does clock slightly higher in boost
1.8 sweat
ah the hypixel era
lol
I literally have to play on a school laptop
I have a superlight and a really nice monitor and I only get like 20 fps 💀
pain
chad setup
Real
I mean I’ve already made the list for the 58003d and I’m kinda lazy, I’ll prob get it but I don’t want to feel guilty
About ripping myself off
But there both great
So whatever
either one is fine and will be better in other cases
no
system latency is in ms usually, ram latency is so much lower that's in nanoseconds usually
np, that'll be $250
oo
aptera hype!
1000 mile range for 40k
250 mile range for 25k
perhaps
dunno if canoo has good driver assist tho
personally so far id actually take a bz4x or r1s as the larger vehicle
does the canoo have a mobility kit planned?
sweet, did not see it
woah
my god the wheelspin
8BitDo forgot to translate the LED tab xd
o..thanks
was about to pull out Google Lens
Can we use a 65% Case for the wooting60he?
No.
..Why would you want to?
Even in ideal conditions it would look ugly af
if you have a canon or panasonic you can just buy 2230 to cfexpress b adapter
highly considering buying one of these for my sony
oh wait its only for type b

finally watching this...I WANT ONE THIS IS SO FUCKING COOL
and easy to repair... fuck yeah!
O.o holy shit, it can go fast
The IBM PC Music Feature is one of the rarest, most collectible sound cards for DOS PCs. Sure, you can get a Yamaha FB-01 FM synthesizer that does practically the same thing, but the IMFC! It's a legend! Is it worth nearly $3,000 for one complete in box? Let's unbox and set this one up to find out.

Documents leaked from Gigabyte reveal that AMD's AM5 platform supports Rembrandt and Phoenix processors in addition to the Raphael Ryzen 7000X released last year. This suggests that Team Red is preparing to update the Ryzen G-series with 6000G and 7000G models featuring the more powerful RDNA 2 and RDNA 3 iGPUs.
That would be very cool
now my mic no work .-.
;-; how fix
<@&375234916776017933> this for Wooting Staff does the hall effect only work with magnetism or can low volt -/+ voltage make the hall effect register key presses i wanted to be like a made science experiment as I love tinkering and all things low latency
no need to ping an entire roll for a question and probably better fit in #🤖│community_dev
to be fair even the igpu in the reg 7000 cpus is pretty powerful
It's really not
It just has a bunch of features
for an integrated one
Fix...what. You posted a screenshot of some game with zero context
Anyone here has experience with stm32cubeide?
Lollll
Found Edge user on Linux 🤢
Found linux user

🤢

Does that thicc ass border around the WebView happen on Edge in Windows too??
Yes
You hate on edge to much
Don’t think he was the one hating on edge
I mean it is peak Linux experience, Linux is great because people can use what they want but they better not use the wrong things or people hate that it gets used
No, Linux 😛
Anything that isn't just terminal is not real linux
so it says edit with b and im on pc whenever i try to build it shows that then bugs my bulid so i cannt place anything
Yeah that didn't get me anywhere closer to understand what this is. Also if it's a specific game try #1019723042244534282 or #🎮│game . Use more words, get better help. 🙂

Is Dynamic DNS a thing that you can configure in every router or am I just getting lucky with the two routers I've used so far?
Specifically talking about the ability for the router to login to a DDNS provider when you give it your username and password and automatically send the IP to the DDNS anytime it changes
Both routers let me login to the DDNS provider I use
Yes it is typically something you add to the router with your DDNS provider info
Do all routers support most major DDNS providers?
Cause there is only 3 options on this router
But there was about 6 on the last one I used
Seems to differ what ones are supported
can probably just use opnwrt if you have stuff missing, dont think ddns is hardware limited
Yeh definitely not
I hope raspberry pi prices go back to normal soon ...
I want one for a server
This router takes so so long to reboot
use openwrt and see if that is faster, lots of routers just have shit firmware for that
I am using a r4s myself, works pretty well with openwrt
Still the R6S did not exist when I got mine and the benefit of going 2.5G is marginal for my use.
Interestingly there is a provider that offers 10gbit to consumers here, but it works with resellers and non of it's resellers offer it.
terrible specs though
If you want good router performance and low upfront cost, getting some cheap old pc / thin client and sticking in a network adapter via pci-e / usb is the way to go.
Kind of what I use at work, spare pc with extra network port, as I lost the password to the old one and it works great. using a pentium G4400 is really quite fast compared to the average arm system
it's a geodude
does anyone know what the actuation point of the logitech g915 is?
Samsung...
Why is 88gb of space used for the OS?
HOW IS ONEUI SO LARGE???
Mine js 30gb...xf
Not even Windows does that
88GB is prolly just reserved space for...
Spyware
😏19GB
or its just temp files or system update or something that gets cleaned by reboot or reserved for a download
That is quite possible for cache, though for system updates as far as Samsung goes sounds weird. Samsung continues to refuse the A/B update system which on paper sounds like it use more space but clearly that aint the case at least compared how Samsung handles updates.
Meanwhile
One of my uncle's has a phone with only 16gb of storage
😵💫
Samsung phone?
Huawei
Irc the extreme size is actually all just bloatware apps
You can delete a lot of em
I don't have any apps I don't use installed
also stuff for caching search indexes and all is related to storage size, larger storage means you need more system space to index everything etc.
Highly doubt android would need about 100GB
On windows my one terabyte drive would take like 55 or so GB
no just listing up multiple things that can add up
since its some random screenshot of random youtuber we dont have any real info to go off
Okay fair point
Fedora uses 5gb space

Ubuntu Touch has really nice system navigation
I really like it
But their quick toggles are shit
To be fair the desktop os is squished to mobile
Not on Ubuntu Touch
.... it even has synced lyrics for this song
Damn ok!! GG ViMusic
That looks like it belongs on the nest hub
Ooo ....
Yes!
Or the upcoming Pixel Tablet that can turn into a Hub when docked
I hope they include the dock with it....
It's the only unique selling point
See that little i in a circle beside apps? That's because there hasn't been permission given to show app file size and it goes go system instead.
Oooohhhhhhhh
That's interesting behavior
Why would the system settings not already have that permission?
Dunno it's to confuse people I guess
Very strange
Miss that game..
possible cause

that's actually not bad for a 7950x
The zen4 x cpus are designed to run at 95c all the time
Pa120 is better
brother is that for swimming POOLS
That is normal, nothing to worry about

Don’t act shocked mansen you should know that
I mean... No. But I am blessed with custom water cooling to be fair.
That 5600X ain't getting toasty if I have something to say
Zen 4 is made to run to the 95c wall all the time instead of hitting the power limit first
cough backups on my root cough
Custom Waterloop for zen4 probably still goes up to like 70C I would imagine, maybe a bit lower
Non x has a much lower base tdp setting so yes
so having high temps 80s c is fine?
its only apex too all the other games stays around 50
like i said red dead fortnite etc i dont get high temps playing those games
only apex does it
Yes because especially is probably more cpu bound
Those cpus are designed to run 95c all day
last time i played hitman it was on the ps2
if youre sure, i just dont feel comfortable playing a game at 85c lol
my pc gets hot hot
Yes and said so multiple times
Silicon is not water, it doesn’t evaporate at 100c so it just seems worse that it is if you only look at the temperature number without context
Temperature isn’t what kills cpus but Voltage, yet I could bet most people have no idea what voltage their cpu runs at because that’s not a value people can relate to
Yeah and ofc the guy could not directly talk about amd, he basically said in his own rig he would run it at max all the time because the stuff is resilient enough and just wasted performance otherwise
The less temperature deviates from ambient the better for longevity, so it's not a moot concern. Temp alone at 85 won't be something you should worry abt., but the expansion-contraction cycling and the larger variance of it.
Looking at total lifetime yes, looking at the time till next Upgrade? With modern chips not really an issue anymore if they run hot for long
so just live in a 80degree room at all times
A question: why is there a limit of only 20 Dynamic KeyStroke/Mod Taps/Toggle keys? Are there plans to increase that limit in the future?
Physical limitation.
is this related to the toggle keys
for the physical limitation or or all Modes
?
limited memory on the board so its limited how much stuff can be saved
I thought there were 8 megs?
This would be a fun pcb to make just not too simple
I used to think this was a lot
I know the older boards have a lower limit, idk the numbers exactly because of that
Wait, the new ones have 16 megs, right?
Voltage causes heat, heat causes defusion, defusion causes degradation
oh yeah, be careful with overvolting your cpu.
a strong "it depends on the architecture"
sure but 1.5v can just insta kill a cpu
heating up to high enough temperatures to kill a cpu from it takes a while
if it can even kill it and wouldnt throttle and slow down in time
its a variety of factors really. there is no one singular killer for silicon microchips.
also yeah it was just a simplification to show 8x°C doesnt kill zen4 and voltage usually does more yet nobody even knows what its at
Yeah lilene's had this happen a few times I believe haha
If big little is not that great, why'd AMD be pursuing the design
Or is it that just Intel's big little was not great
because its not for desktop
Might be wrong assumption, but isn't everything diverging into this whole modular design
GPUs entering the chiplet era, and this seems kind of similar to that
Power savings seem to be an important factor to go through with this
hence its not for desktop
hmmmmm

TIL there are many many people who still think Android does not have screen recording
Oh goodie.
oh ffs
Only a few GB here and there
Let's hope the firmware work on those at least
Is that slanted
The one we have at work does not have them, and I have seen the inside of it quite often.
To be fair we don't have the most extensive first aid kid and most of it is somewhat old.
Basically think the one in your average home, not much more.
As for what I do I work in a company making websites, but just small things around the office I have had minor cuts that could use a band-aid often enough.
Well that would be the case in a larger company with people actually having the time to deal with that shit or hiring someone to do so.
Of course eye washing stations are just for places that have extra risk there.
It's not as coubled together, maybe a little bigger than the average home but really not much better.
If someone were to do that I most certainly would order it as I did the last time someone managed that, however my backlog is too damn long to go through it myself.
Still if push comes to shove and we are in a situation that we lack a necessary means to help someone running across to the other companies around would be an option.
In general though, most of the stuff you realistically need will be fine even if it's a bit out of date and noone is trained to use the stuff anyway.
I don't think we ever needed anything other than band-aids or minor painkillers (some people tend to use them quit often).
Still most minor pain killers are really just optional
uncomfortable not to have them, maybe but that's about it.
The heavier stuff is not otc anyway so you should not have it in stock.
I honestly never use painkillers myself, I have had a few times where I tred, such as when a wisdom tooth was coming through, but I never felt it had enough of an effect, so I just deal with the pain.
Headaches I have them sometimes but laying down for a bit covering my eyes seems like usually the best remedy, I just never really feel like I need them.
We generally have ibuprofen, paracetamol and some aspirin in the first aid kid
bro metamizol (dipyrone) is goated but it's banned in the US because of lobbying
also some other countries
it's also non-toxic so you can't die from accidentally taking too much
they did some driver updates but didnt see a review since then, good to see
I tested it on my main system with 3 1440p 144-165hz monitors connected and power consumption of my 7900xt hovers at around 80w on idle
multi monitor power consumption is not a one size fits all kind of thing
the number resolution and refresh rate do matter
Yep
It is however improved from launch
dropping down to 2x 1440p60hz it drops to 22w going down to 1x60hz and 1x120 hz it still stays at around 80w and single monitor 165hz also drops down to roughly 22w
granted I am using linux so that may skew things but I am using the latest mesa git version
yeah dual high refresh screens also makes my idle higher than what it is in that list
What happens here is that the memory clock doesn't drop anymore, basically the same it has been on amd since at least my hd7950
wasnt that supposed to be one of the first fixes?
or did that not happen for linux drivers
I don't know it idles at 1249mhz at least
