Yea, but for example some healer specialize in healing, others in shielding or dispelling debuffs.
As for DPS, most of them have multiple specs that all play differently and can accomplish different things. Some for example have more mobility while others have semi-tank abilities or a crapload of CC.

It's mainly a PvE game and tries to do challenging content. Most of the community doesn't like PvP but they'll have a few servers for it I think. Just not the target audience.

It was the central clans love of ships (never really managed to get a navy going since they'd just block everything) and large armies that got annoying.
I was SUPER lucky in the last turn. A vassal had betrayed me, and my one ally (who held the last province I needed) attacked me. I was two steps from not being able to finish the game right there, and it would have taken a long while to do so if they had managed to move ๐
