I’ve built the 9th plot but nobody is set to move in. Should build the 10th plot and then do a few island tours to find more villagers.

Fun game generally speaking but you can tell its not finished by how rough it is. 0.1.3 is an accurate version descriptor by no overstatement what so ever. Even inventory management is bad like really bad right now.

Maybe in a year or so with enough updates and bug fixes it is a good playable game. it also feels a lot like satisfactory without feeling like satisfactory. like you get the hit of "oh just like in satisfactory" while building smth that would never work that way in satisfactory. like the rails (belts in satisfactory) transmit power for example.

The titular star rupturing is a bit of a gimmick imo as all it means is you go inside, it does its thing, planet burns, you get some special stuff during this time and then the map resets with gatherables

Digital first makes sense for a lot of reasons - But it still stings for customers. Imo all physical pre-orders should include a temporary digital license that works for a month, and expires once the disc is inserterd.

Digital first, means you can push the final printing date of discs further, meaning less day 0 patches.
You don't have to encrypt contents, so it doesn't take five hours to install a game.
