that's basically why analog control didn't take off, games don't like you mixing inputs and we don't have an API that would do mouse and keyboard input in one and done deal
or in other words developers don't know how to do input handling because they only assume M/KB and controller exist as the only two input methods in existence

tried analog like once or twice on the W1 where the flaretechs just kinda sucked for that, then tried it again a few times with full-travel lekkers years later but never really found it that useful or fun, and the issues that come with it often just make it not worthwhile

what most likely will happen is the FPS will go down as they might improve graphics like the lighting. You could always turn that down in the performance maybe the same. Only thing that probably will change is the engine. I don’t think game wise performance will take too much of a hit switching engines. Unless unreal engine and five is really bad and will actually destroy the game.
