I have weird question, I have socd on on my 'A' and 'D' keys. I play Valorant and I dont know how to use it properly with strafing and shooting. I suppose to strafe left right and stop for a moment for shoot and then strafe for example left again or should I strafe left,right and for my next 'A' press for left shoot at the time i press the 'A' button ? Game dependent on how movement works

SOCD just means as soon as you press a different input (with Wooting if you have 0.1mm actuation point it's literally as soon as you just touch a key) it'll instantly activate that key

Some games have movement velocity, others have that insanely fast deceleration so you barely even feel there's velocity in the movement, Overwatch I think is one of those games that have such insane deceleration that you can just stagger move A-D-A-D and it looks like you are spazzing out and are hard to hit

No clue how it's on Valorant, but SOCD just basically means it instantly activates the key upon as much as soft touch, up to you to figure out how the game's movement system works to benefit from keyboard features

I dont think that has to do with 8k

if anything it should lower the overall system latency by reducing the polling period to 0.125ms (not much of a difference but still there)

sometimes 8k implementations can be funky but they can always be worked on which is what wooting does through firmware updates. also I suggest enabling tachyon and keeping brightness at 70% or lower. Hope it helps!
