I believe gamepad mode is locked to 250hz so response times are likely higher but if you're not noticing it

For Dualsense it's 250Hz/125Hz gyro for wireless and 250/250Hz gyro for wired, Edge is 1000Hz/125Hz and 1000Hz/250Hz respectively, and surprisingly you can overclock both of them to support 8k over wired

But when it comes to Wooting's gamepad then yeah, it's capped at 250Hz, no matter if you use 1k or 8k

The insane amount of bloodsucker spawns

The game just.. loves to spawn them around you when you are adventuring, got 3 spawns in a span of 2 minutes

Bloodsuckers were always rather rare and uncommon lol, an exciting fight

In Stalker 2 they are just obnoxious

So far human enemies are kind of tanky into the body where the armor usually protects them, which kinda makes sense, but they usually drop in 1 shot to the head

Two if they are like really armoured advanced units

Imo combat against stalkers is fine, the mutants is the problem

Haven’t tried it on exoskeleton and helmet wearing peeps yet

And yeah mutants are tough, but I haven’t noticed em as being hard to kill

Unlike Burers who are hell to deal with, Controller seemed.. weak

Tbf I always found them weak lol, they had in original games a weakness to melee, so just run at em and knife them to death

Same works here but almost even better so, Controller seems to be programmed to try and "run" (it's literally only capable of walking) away from you so it becomes utterly defenseless

Though it's a massive bullet sponge, it took a full 8 mag 12gauge from my Spas, a full 21 rounder from a .45 and multiple 5.45 headshots to kill it

That needs to be majorly tweaked by a mod

Some context ahead of my rant: I don't know much about the ins and outs of game engines, programming, 3D modelling, or whatever.

The problem with with UE5 isn't UE5 itself, but the fact that every game no matter how amazing the engine is; still NEEDS optimisation.
I know UE5 offers things like I think it was Nanite, and automatically generated LOD models, but even then major hand tuning is required to make the most of all those features.

Problem is devs use old techniques of optimization, which due to the natur of UE5 simply don't work
And yeah, Nanite does a lot of work, but if devs can't really use it, heck, it's not even documented all that well...

Not sure what "old techniques" don't work, but the truth is that UE5 is going to suffer the problem every past engine suffered from:
The developers will push the engine to its absolute limits first and foremost, and only start optimising last minute. Don't matter if it was Source, Slipspace, Creation 2, or Unity developers like to push those sparklies up so high the 5090 TI Super is already shitting its pants from the design desk

When I played CPunk at launch I remember having a bug where every foliage was rendered on top of everything else. I would be inside a building and I'd see palm trees and bushes all around me even though they were really on the outside.

Both games managed to get me softlocked a few times causing me to have to reload saves

Or crashed a handful of times when interacting with objects

It was annoying but not like... unplayable

Not having seperate character slots in saving. I made a new character and erased several hours of my other character's save because my quicksaves were overwriting the quicksaves of that one.

How is Cyberpunk's modding scene anyways

Anybody doing anything actually impressive

They got dev tools so.. they can always add new weapons, map areas, quests, etc

Modders always impress me but.. it seems that some modding scenes are far inferior than others

Like Bethesda has an insane modding scene, so does STALKER

But some others that have full dev tools a la.. Kingdom Come Deliverance, modding scene is literally non-existent

But.. nobody did

Hell nobody did anything with that game

Mods are many years old and mainly just shitty script tweaks

They got a full crytek toolkit and did nothing with it

I look at Rimworld and ask myself "where's the gameplay"

It just feels purely a "make your own story" sandbox from the get go, there's just no real gameplay there

You kind of have all you need from the beginning with some other RPG features unlocking for you to just cosplay with and create a story

I spent like 3k hours in Arma just making my own scenarios and fucking around in singleplayer

Even when I literally grew up from young age playing sandboxes, Rimworld should be literally my favourite game, yet it's not

I kinda just cannot understand it and it bores me
