Although it's true Reddit is hard to please, I really do think 343 has been mishandling the series for a long time, and it's getting frustrating.
For one resolving the plot of the last game in a comic so the next game can start off with a new plot that gets resolved in a comic has been a frustrating and constant trend.
Halo 4 setup a villain, he was dealt with off screen, Halo 5's teaser trailers setup a villain which was resolved in the comics, only for the actual game to have a completely different villain that although was extremely controversial was also killed off screen. I can't help but dread that Halo 7 is going to be the same. With all the plot points and threads Infinite setup being resolved before the game even starts

I... dont really mind what they did with infinite because h5's plot was a mess

at least infinite allows for a fairly fresh start for the franchise

i personally liked infinite

only halo game i have an issue with is 5

its just the story i dislike

story was fine and imo the gameplay and MP are crazy fun

just wish they had launched the game properly

they rushed a multiplayer launch with a lack of content

I do understand why they skipped over Halo 5's story because it was such a mess

But Halo Infinite has numerous holes they promised to fill in like "What is Atriox doing?" and "Where did the Infinity go?". Plus apparently 60% of the content was cut last second.

I fear however that with a pattern of constantly choosing not to finish stories that all these plot threads in Infinite are just going to be resolved in a comic again. That the "Endless", the "Banished" and Atriox are just going to be dumped out as babies with the bathwater. It doesn't help that the next game is proably not due for another 6 years with how long AAAAA studios take these days.

As I see it one of two things need to change for it to be a good progression flow.

1. Add an actual vegetation regrowth and greenhouse system, so the fiber power generators are no a limited resource.

2. Add an early coal power generator that runs on pure coal on top of the coal nodes or something similar.

Some small coal burners, inefficient so you wouldn't use them in the long run, but which will let you coast until you have a coal plant

i'd love some sort of self fueling biomass burners, without them you're bound to go on errand runs to grab fuel every so often

also if it runs out its a hassle kickstarting the factory back up lol

It’s a very linear experience, majority of bosses are along the main path as part of the story telling.
Story isnt something im taking too seriously since its just a retelling of journey to the west, but its presented masterfully with really good cinematics.
Combat is VERY good, bosses havent felt unfair to me so far and dying isnt a huge detriment to your progression.
