Since I don't have the Reference, I just use hd490 and try to match that. Treble might need to be more forward, but mids is pretty close. Bass is good enough but I feel like it's still lacking body compared to the 490.

Actually, maybe the divine by itself is already pretty nice for an IEM, I just remove the hiss and increase the mids. Then add in treble to counteract the -2db preamp.

It by itself should reduce the bass' level to an acceptable amount

bass rolloff on studio monitors is more extreme however, most good ones can only go down to about 50-60Hz before dropping off a cliff.

so sub-bass isnt as pronounced on studio monitors, but still pretty good
