I ordered speakers not long ago which would not work well with the monitor on this desk. The desk is too small, as well as the space in my room. I cannot get a deeper desk since my chair is almost hitting the bed behind me even with this desk depth.

The CRT was so deep that it would end up significantly blocking the direct sound fired by the speakers. Also, the CRT + 2 speakers and speaker stands is way more weight than this puny desk can handle

There is almost no space left for that, and I do not own the furniture here except the chair

I'd have to ask the landlord if I can switch out the desk he bought for this room with a new one which would lead to another problem of not having anywhere to store the old desk (He has said before there is nowhere outside of my room to really store things)

So keeping the CRT was just too many problems

I sold it for a peace of mind and to get good speaker performance

Another issue is that the speakers are not magnetically shielded and would definitely interfere with the monitor at such a close distance

I've got a Naga V2 Pro in it's box because the 12-button side panel isn't comfortable and while it's nice with the 2-button side panel, it's much heavier and not as nice for longer sessions.

Got a Scimitar Elite or whatever the latest model is and that has a bit of an awkward shape but is more comfortable for longer XIV sessions (if I'm not just using a controller).

Logitech G600 still remains undefeated in the MMO mouse department... too bad Logitech haven't made a modern version.

I'm sure there's a higher quality mouse that's effectively just the GPX2 but until this dies, I won't bother looking for it.

Also, it's a US company, keep production in the US. Trump is giving out tax breaks for companies to invest in domestic production. Not to mention, everything would be done completely in house and they'd have complete control of production and processing for shipment. Finalboy's response was that it would be too expensive still. Which is only true if you're doing 1 limited production run a year. As production scales up and becomes constant, the margins between the two becomes insignificant...far less than any tariffs.

Not to mention they wear out over time. The main cons of glass pad is if you sweat a lot, you need a long sleeve shirt, hoodie, or arm sleeve. I don’t have that issue so it’s a case by case basis. Also, it wears skates but in the year I’ve had my glass pad, I’ve only gone through 1 set of dot skates.

I don’t think it’s really a universal right or wrong as to which one is better. Some people prefer glass, some people prefer cloth. But definitely don’t dismiss either if you’re not aware of their pros and cons.

If I wasn’t a clean freak (mainly started from my previous career in EMS) and didn’t have a dog that sheds 24/7/365, id probably look at an artisan pad. But since glass is easy to clean in seconds and doesn’t attract dog fur, my personal choice was apparent.
