using the formula that has been working and the IPs that have been working has a higher chance of success and is WAY easier than actually making good movies/games

Depending on the genre, things can maybe see a bit 'two dimentational' or stereotypical, but those are often the tropes that go with the genre that most of the viewers sign up for. Sure a lot of the romantic comedies follow a certain routine, and fans make fun of it too, but in the end, you eat it up cause its also what u wanna see. the cheesy goodness

there's deff some good korean dramas/tv shows with dark/serious themes that deserves some love

but in the end, to each their own

Eternaut - Spanish series about how aliens apparently invade Earth, and there's snowfall that kills you on contact. It sounds interesting but just turns into your run of the mill "deadly plague, don't go out there" post apocalypse thing, and those aliens are never shown and just teased. Waste of investment.
