So i just put the HMX crystals in my TenZ 80HE (now in a Kbdfans GT-80 case). Amazing switches with virtually zero stem wobble. Now Wooting I love the performance BUT can I give some feedback? The switch puller you include can't pull the switches out and i literally had to break the pegs of some of the Tikken TenZ switches to get them out. That, or the light diffuser comes loose.

Hey guys, I just got my 80he today and the spacebar keeps randomly activating - in wootility it's showing a constant spazzy actuation at ~1mm. I replaced the switch 3x and it's still doing it. Not theoretically, an unpowered PCBA CAN get wet. But you need to worry about corrosion occuring from minerals in the water. Metal parts will oxidize and rust if exposed to water that isn't distilled.

IPA is completely fine to use on an unpowered PCBA to clean it.

Even if you completely dried it off after getting wet with normal tap water, you'd want to wipe it down with IPA. Even completely drying it off won't remove contaminants, mineral deposits and conductive residues.

dunno what happened recently but today when I boot up my pc, it asked which device to boot from (weird, ik). I went into bios and noticed my kb was not detected (80HE). Once I switched from the tachyon profile to the normal typing one, I could use the keyboard in bios once more (aorus x570 ultra mobo). Didn t think much of it and took it as a minor inconvenience but tonight I boot up val and all hell broke loose once i switched back to the tachyon profile. Game windowing and maximizing out of control and everything was stuttering until I had to end task and try again. I also noticed that Shift, Control, Tab, Caps all did not work on the tachyon profile (the gaming optimized profile). Everything worked fine on the default typing profile, just not on any profile with tachyon mode enabled. I also need to mention I never had wooting background services on ever since the first setup and had no issue. I updated some analog sdk thingy in wootility but it did nothing. Now it could technically all work without tachyon mode enabled, but it's also a feature i've paid for and intend to make use of. Any ideas as to why this is happening?

And at checkout it says that the keyboard comes with a split spacebar extra but when i watched the official unboxings none of them had the split spacebar so im just confused rn

The keycap sets are now compatible with the split of the 60HEv2, that has nothing at all to do with what kind of keyboard you get. So with the 80HE they will just be extras, you can't use them

the software is both downloadable and web based, so even if one day the web software is gone, you have the downloaded software

Generally yeah. If you want you can get a syringe + lube (or a pre-filled lube syringe from some shops) and give it a little touch up

different stab keys will always sound different though, but rattle can usually be fixed with a small syringe lube injection

well, we simply owned one for literally ever by now simply to have a means of checking the tire pressure of our vehicles, doing some paint spraying instead of rolling/brushing the walls or anything else that needs paint on it and i added a drill/nut set to it on top since it's just absurdly useful^^

Lekker tikkens are good. But they were on back order and I already have to much hype to the point where I could pass out

So i went for 2nd best that wasnt to expensive

I’ve removed the upper casing and used electric air blower (compressed air works too). Then you just assemble and its done

So I went back to the Tikkens on my 80HE TenZ. The HMX Crystals were nice and stable, nice short travel BUT oddly enough they were a lot scratchier than the Tikkens. The lube job was varying which is odd considering i have a ton of HMX switches and they always arrive immaculate in that regard from the factory.

I might try lubing them by hand, to be fair, but for now the Tikken are kings. The lighter weight is noticeable and really makes a difference.
