Can anyone tell me if just recently a new bug is according that your number 1 key will literally spam the button a shitload when your keyboard turns on with your PC? I dont think this is water related because I can just unplug it replug it in and it stops. It does even stop without unplugging it but it take like a min or two. I noticed this started happening after updating my 80he from a super old firmware to the latest.

I just ordered the 80HE Zinc Alloy and a coiled cable (#EU407593H). I’m a huge CS2 fan, and this keyboard is my dream.
As a person with a disability living on a very limited income, I’ve saved for months and even borrowed money to finally afford this. It took everything I had. I realized too late that I’ll really need a wrist rest for my physical comfort and health while playing, but I literally have no money left to buy one.

If you're buying a pre-built you only have the option of the Lekker V2 60's. If you buy the TenZ edition, it comes with the Lekker Tikken with a lighter 45cN switch. Both sound similar. The Tikken are a little bit deeper naturally and the FR4 plate that comes with the TenZ edition gives it a (subjectively) nicer sound as well. Both perform well for typing and gaming. Though with the lighter force of the Tikken in the TenZ it takes a little more getting used to compared to the Lekker V2 60s. If you're looking for Thocky switches, the Tikken is going to be about the closest you can get, but its more of a deep clack.

hey guys any tips on how to clean my keyboard and what equipment I should use? I have a lot of cat hair inbetween the keys due to my cat deciding to make my keyboard her bed when im not home would love any advice on how to properly clean it and make it back to brand new

I just wipe mine down with a high pile microfiber cloth that I dampen with distilled water. If you have the zinc case, you want to avoid letting IPA sit on the paint. You can put it on a cloth and make sure it doesn't dry onto it.

But IPA can damage the paint too. Dish soap and water would probably be safer on a painted surface.

I use the rag company microfiber cloths on my car, and keyboard. They're lint free and do a great job picking up dust particles. I don't have a cat so I don't know how well they pick up cat hair though.

This is just an analog monitor thing, the key didn't actually actuate that deep. It pairs the key press from the OS to the most recent datapoint. Basically, when you press fast, the key moves so quickly that the analog monitor can't keep up perfectly with the data. The first sample it grabs past the actuation can look a bit higher than the actual trigger, which makes it look like a deeper actuation than what actually happened. Press slowly, and you'll notice that it's more accurate, because the movement between samples is smaller and everything lines up better. 8k polling probably makes this more noticeable since the data is updating insanely fast

I think out of the box the TenZ is (subjectively) better. I use my "normal" 80HE more now, but I also modded the crap out of it. I use mine for both work and gaming as well.

I basically turned into a White Zinc TenZ with upgraded stabilizers.

FR4 plate is more rigid. Keypresses feel quicker. I can't really say the PC plate feels mushy, but you can definitely tell its softer.

The only downside I'll say, for at least me personally, I did have to slightly increase actuation distance for my typing profile. I was fat fingering keys quite often. Default I want to say is 2mm and I set mine to 2.5mm. And left bracket, right bracket I had to set to 4mm. With my finger placement when I hit the right shift, I was accidentally pressing the keys. I originally though it was an issue with my keyboard, not human error. LOL.

But I had to max out actuation distance on my normal 80HE on those 2 keys even before I modded it.

Well, probably better off trying to check the 60he version and trying to make determinations based on that. Who knows. Will only know if they at some point announce one. Their thing is big quality and big features and all that and it's bit limited, so it will be expensive at least.

I think the TenZ is a better deal. Chances are you’d want to get an FR4 plate eventually anyway. Doubt you’d want a softer plate than the base 80HE. The TenZ switches are also exclusive to the TenZ. You can build your own to be the same specifications, but it’s a pain to do. Whereas all of the other switches you may want to put in it can be purchased separately.

I’m so screwed I just did the new beta update and my keyboard will not reconnect, I’ve tried restoring it with escape+arrow key but keeps saying failed to reconnect device, I then thought to myself maybe restarting my pc would fix this issue, but it didn’t, now I’m stuck trying to enter my pin which I physically CANNOT type out, and to add to that I’ do not think I have a spare keyboard to type with

Restoring with escape and arrow keys? Who told you that? You need to press and hold top right and bottom right keys, while holding them, plug the cable in, then click 'Reset Device' in Wootility > Help > Troubleshoot > 80HE

So it's like this when you expand Wooting Restore? Hmm, those are correct drivers, Wootility should be able to see the device when you try to restore the keyboard.

Try other USB port on the back of your PC. If you have RGB softwares running in the background, disable them, replug the keyboard and try to restore the keyboard one more time.

I’ve closed down LGHub, and I’m not sure what other RGB softwares could be interfering, but I will say I’m unsure what usb to plug it into on the back of my pc, is there a way to know for sure what usb port is the motherboards one (I’m abit stupid when it comes to pcs) and yes, those drivers do show for me and it’s exactly like that. It just says device not connected for now on the restoring part

Furthermore, do you have any idea what could be interfering application wise? Do I need to close them in task manager?

I meant to try plugging the keyboard into a different port. All the ports on the back of your PC are motherboard ports.

Right now keyboard doesn't have any firmware installed, that's why it's in restore mode. You should be able to restore it on both stable Wootility and beta Wootility Unsure what's wrong, since those are correct drivers in Device Manager.

Yeah i understand. To be honest, im replacing my Razer Blackwidow Elite from 6 years ago for a new board. So I'm pretty used to normal mechanical switches.
The new HE switches will be a huge difference from these so the very light switches from the TenZ edition wil probually be too light

I bought one of the white ones from the outlet. I wouldn't say they're broken. Mine had a minor paint scuff that was so unnoticable that I thought they sent me one that wasn't damaged. It wasn't until I shined a really bright led flashlight on it that I could see the paint scuff. In normal light, I can't see it. Alas, I'm not using the case anymore though. Went back to my black zinc case, which will get swapped out when my Grey GT-80 arrives.

I don't know what the hell I did to get rid of ping in my regular 80 HE. I've modded it in so many ways that I don't know which one did it. But even with Tikken in it, there's like no ping. The only thing I've done to my 60 v2 is put in WS Flux DC. It's got ping.
