The 80HE is much better for GD because of the 8kHz polling rate. The input lag is basically non-existent, which makes frame-perfect clicks way more consistent. Also, setting the actuation point to 0.1mm with Rapid Trigger makes spam parts much easier than on a Sayodevice. It just feels more solid and precise

Better switches with less stem wobble(my 80HE had V2)? Check! Lighter actuation? Check. Longer spring length? Check. Nice dye sub keycaps with Japanese legends? Check. Subtle but nice color scheme? Check. Preferred plate material? Check. Better sound? Check!

if you have actual raw zinc it would discolor very quick

the reason our v1 cases had issues with the coating was that well... getting stuff stuck to zinc is hard

Hello, friend bought his 2nd wooting 80 module, case and switches (returned first keyboard due to issue) and it has the same issue again. Randomly starts pressing keys for a while (like jittering). It is worse in 8k than 1k mode, but it still persists in 1k.
Already tried different usb cables/ports, different PC, resetted firmware.
Any ideas?

For the TenZ owners. Is this normal? The left keys near the spacebar (ctrl, Windows and alt) are the same highed as the soacebar but the right keys next to the spacebar (alt, ctrl, fn) are lower then the spacebar

Removed the foam between the switch plate and PCB and back to the stock silicon pad with the aftermarket fr4. But I need a new case. This case was not built to be open that often. I see cracks here and there. And I take it off by the book

So don’t miss understand me but as a long timer at the wooting team I would expect somehow to get some of the parts of tenz version for my 80. The fr4 plate… the case. I mean for those who have the whole keeb family … these versions bring some add ons that some of us would like but the answer from wooting team is “yeah but we won’t sell parts”.

Kind of sucks buying keebs on day zero …

We have to get third party parts that are not as well thought through as the ones from wooting …

Just wanted to leave these feelings here. I’m not buying tenz version because I already have a 80HE but common…

usually you need to look for that "kind of small window" the switches have, that is to disperse the LED light ... and that needs to be align to where the led is positioned. If its north, you installing accordingly... if its south, you install it the other way 🙂 the LED guide pole

Here in Denmark most couriers will try to deliver in person, and if you're not home drop it off "nearby" at a kiosk or supermarket who they partner with. Though most will let you pick such a spot ahead of time, if you know you're not home.

i have the first 60HE, when the Tenz one was announced i was immediately interested because i'd like to have a modded keyboard. I know i can mod it myself, but i have never done that, nor really the desire to ever do so. So i received the Tenz one and it types and sounds amazing. I love RGB and sadly thats not really that big on this keyboard so i'd change the keycaps for sure. But at that point you don't see its a "tenz keyboard" anymore, which is fine. I like Tenz, I watched his pro matches and all that and play valorant, but i also don't really care for it to be Tenz or whomever else. So once I change the keycaps, and you cant see its Tenz anymore, wouldnt the 80HE be basically the same? I know there's foam in the spacebar and lighter switches, but if you dont look at it being a tenz keyboard, would the Tenz one still be the "better choice" compared to the 80HE? (i probably wouldnt even need to return as my friend would prob buy the Tenz one of me and id then order a regular 80HE). When I compare the specs from 80HE and the Tenz one on the website, im not really sure anymore why im spending more money for basically the same keyboard (i dont know much about technical stuff)? What are the pro's to the Tenz one beside it being Tenz? also, the soundtests on the website make me think that the regular 80HE sounds even better than the Tenz one? Can someone who has or will get the Tenz one who also owns the 80HE one maybe give me more info on this?

The normal 80HE doesn't have the FR4 plate or tikken switches. If you would want to get the same feel in a normal 80HE you would have to spend more money compared to what you paid for the TenZ edition.

Also try putting the RGB on 100%, you definitely get a nice RGB effect through the keycaps 🙂

I currently own the original Wooting 60HE and recently received the TenZ 80HE. I was very interested in the TenZ edition because I like the idea of a “pre-modded” keyboard, as I have no experience with modding and no real desire to do it myself.

The TenZ 80HE types and sounds excellent, and I’m very happy with how it feels. However, I do have some doubts now that I’ve spent more time thinking about it.

I really like RGB, and visually the TenZ edition is quite subtle in that regard. I am almost certain that I will change the keycaps. Once I do that, the keyboard will no longer visually appear as a TenZ edition, which is completely fine for me. I like TenZ and watched his professional Valorant matches, but the branding itself is not important to me.

This made me wonder the following:

If the TenZ branding and keycaps are no longer visible, wouldn’t the TenZ 80HE be functionally almost the same as the regular 80HE?
When I compare the specifications on the website, I find it difficult to understand why the TenZ edition costs more, aside from the collaboration itself.

From what I understand, the main differences are:

Additional internal foam / tuning (including spacebar)

Lighter switches

Are there any other technical or performance differences compared to the regular 80HE?

I am trying to determine whether the TenZ 80HE is still the better choice for me purely based on typing feel, sound, and functionality — not branding. Based on the sound tests on the website, the regular 80HE even seems to sound slightly better to my ears, though I understand this is subjective.
