Is anyone able to help, my 80he keeps pressing random keys. Googled the issue already and people are saying it could be a problem with the cable. I use the stock one that came in the box, I have swapped between polling rates, brightness settings, tachyon mode, different usb ports and tried with and without the usb-c adapter that came in the box and nothing seems to work. The keys that are affected are so random, sometimes it's /, D, prtscrn, windows, and sometimes the spacebar just gets spammed extremely quickly
I heard it could be a vodltage issue or if there is a magnet nearby but I don't own any magnets. The d in the voltage was a random key that was literally just pressed I felt like I should leave that in.

also be weary that it might not function properly if you're not using the stock cable/a good third party one

enables 8khz polling on your board, so 0.125 ms input speed

but the drawback is that it needs more power

so your board cant have rgb effects whilst using it

plus the board loses rgb brightness, but you can set it higher if you please, just make sure you use the stock cable or a good third party cable to max brightness during tachyon mode

I like the NuPhy Air75 Brown switches. Would Lekker Tikken Medium feel similar?
The non-modular option only has Lekker L60 v2, which seems like a linear red, and I don’t think I like that since I’ve tried it on a Keychron before.

Tikken won't feel similar. Those brown switches are tactile and low-profile with 3.2mm travel distance, Tikkens have full 4mm travel and are linear switches.

The JST cable inside the keyboard might be loose and causing this. Check if both ends of the cable are fully plugged in the connectors.

1. Unscrew all the screws on the bottom of the case (you'll need PH1 screwdriver)
2. Remove the top case
3. Lift the module
4. Push both ends of the JST cable into the PCB/USB daughterboard connectors
5. Reassemble the keyboard

Honestly preformance wise, they are basically the same, but Id say 80he for more precision on things like rhythm gams due to the softer feel of the keys making it really easy to be precise on the user side with your clicks

On the keyboard side though they have all the same features like rappy snappy, rapid trigger, 8k polling rate etc

But if youre mostly for average game and like fps shooter games then 60he v2 would be slightly better due to the new switches

It honestly doesnt matter too much, and if I were you id really just consider the extra cost and layout the msot

I personally would never want a 60% due to my bigger hands

Don’t use alcohol wipes, that’s quite harsh

I just use a duster and water with damp microfiber cloth for cases

keycaps you can just drop into warm (not hot) water usually and that cleans them up quite well. Just have to let them dry properly after

Hard to say. Painting something isn't hard. Painting it well is.

I'd recommend asking someone who sprays autoparts professionally for help or the like. Let them do it for it, sand it down, prime and paint it up.

Has anyone had issues with the Wooting 80HE randomly pressing keys? And it doesn't stop unless I unplug and plug it back in. It's getting really annoying with the games I play at the moment cause it will randomly happen and it starts spamming some of my abilities. I tried the video of Wooting themselfs that showcase some fixes but nothing of that worked for me. Could it be cause I run a custom windows OS maybe? I have been doing so for a while and never had issues untill now tho.

I also tried a new cable, different USB ports etc.

I’ve had the 2 HE and it’s def seen some heavy use, it’s still 100% minus the dirt and some cosmetic defects over the years

Also 100mil clicks on one single switch its takes probably more than 5 years to do, and just swap out the switch when it does somehow break
