Switches are all about feel and sound. Ultimately no one can answer that question but yourself. A different switch won't improve your performance, just feel better to tap on.

I tried my friend from framce' stock sayo switches and they're buns ngl

I got him an 80HE for meeting up IRL because we knew eachother for 10 years and got him a zinc 80HE with Raw HE 50g switches

I felt the Wooting was really really faster than Sayo, I felt my wave the literally moment I pressed it, it activated and went up, and my sayo also was fast but not as noticeable as the Wooting.

So the sound is a bit quieter, and it's less wobbler than the v2 (the v2 is also less than the v1).
The feeling when typing is also better, feels a bit more consistent and solid.

The light is also brigther but slightly darker (which for me remembers more the v1), the v2 for me felt bright but more light which made my eyes hurt a bit haha

But I'd say for you to pick one and try it. Before the V2 I was pretty much happy with the V1. I only notice the differences after I got them.

The entire keyboard? Made68Ultra. Had it for a year and love it, but the software is a bit lackluster on color adjustment, analogue settings, and I missed having f-keys. They have a 75 I think, under the pro name, but it's metal like the 68ultra, i believe. There's a light bar on the back you can adjust separately. Will also do the Nightrider ping-pong thing too lol

Anything that involves holding shift, ctrl and ALT is all on the OS, not the keyboard.

It doesn't know what it's typing. It sends "key44" to the OS, which decides what happens.

So - If you're used to being able to do accents with that layout, and you suddenly can't. Double check it's actually enabled.

hey guys im building a 80he with a friend. everything is well the jst cable is plugged in all the way but the keyboard doesnt light up. windows says it cant reconize it and it doesnt show in wootility. Device manager says USB\DEVICE_DESCRIPTOR_FAILURE.

I don't think there was ever a v2 on the black zinc like there was with the white if that's what you mean.

If you got a prebuilt 80HE I believe those are Lekker60 (60cN springs)

Tikkens right now are 54cN bottom out, so slightly lighter than what you're using.

Check internal JST cable, as it might be loose and causing this issue.

1. Unscrew all the screws on the bottom of the case (you'll need PH1 screwdriver)
2. Remove the top case
3. Lift the module
4. Push both ends of the JST cable into the PCB/USB daughterboard connectors
5. Reassemble the keyboard

Not sure exactly, i have some very wealthy and high spending friends, but they prefer logic and practicality.
Although metal is pretty durable, which i would count practical.
Just don't think many people wanna look at gold like that the whole time typing.
I used to want to make a black/gold themed PC in the past, so i could've seen myself wanting something like this, but honestly it looks more like a set for a normie, with a highly customized luxury keyboard that's more for the aesthetic.

The same manufacturer has more common colored metal keycaps that are more sanely priced.

metalkeycaps arent that practical actually. PBT and ABS keycaps (if the ABS isnt lasered topcoat stuff) hold years but cost fractions of metal ones. at the same time metal ones can get discolorations due to skin oils and such being on them.

I truly plan to make myself a custom 90% silver (from US bullion coins) 80HE case, but I do not intend to use silver keycaps. I intend to use either cerakeys with it or use double shot PBTs with it.

(and I'd be antiquing and engraving the silver, and then top-coating it clear to protect it from further tarnish)

I did wear out a set of high quality ABS caps. Not fully worn out, but worn smooth with shine on some keys, and worn down so that the uncoated layer was more exposed and the letters were illegible. But that was over 14 years of use. I can see some shine on my PBT caps right now, but I doubt they'll wear as fast.

yup, that's an old G703 that I wore through the grippy coating down to the plastic frame

It was bought at G703 launch so.... that's how old it is

I had rubber on a few mice on the sides, and they got destroyed, first it gets grinded down to like smooth, then slowly starts falling off

i had like 5 mice in my entire life. a cheap one with rubber sides glued on (sucked when they fell off), then one of those micro mice when they were trendy, then a g100s followed by a g203 and now an op18k
