Tried both in different configs, same PC:

• Sayodevice: Stock outemu pinks
• Sayodevice: Geon Raw HE 50g
• 80HE: Geon Raw HE 50g

imo, the sayo with the old Outemu switches is just really bad in terms of stability. swapping them with Geon Raw HE 50g switches helped out a ton. 80HE was around the same in terms of stability. I was playing Auditory Breaker at the time.

It's like on the caps lock key. It lets you set a separate colour to show the key is being held down so to speak. It's been toggled on.

For FN keys, this is used in conjunction with a keybind that locks the base layer to that layer, so you don't hold down an FN key to use it.

For some reason, when I hold down left alt on my wooting80he; I cant use any other button on the keyboard. I have to let go of alt to register another button press.

well it has to do with how traditional switches are designed. they have a pole which is what the spring goes around inside the switch. if you make it longer it bottoms out sooner

Hi guys I’m new here. I’ve been really confused on what keycaps to get.

I don’t know the difference between the dye sub cherry and the double shot backlit pbt, i think the cherrys are shorter and better for typing.
I’m looking for something shorter than the only other keyboard I had which was the apex pro too which I found to be tall and very uncomfortable to use in general.

I just gave it up honestly and I don’t want to run into the same issue on this account one. I want it to be comfortable when using and typing. Any help is appreciated thank you.

Cherry is a profile where as dye sub is a manufacturing process (double shot typically being the other one used).

Cherry profile is indeed lower than the stock OEM profile.

Those with the 80HE gasket mounted or the 60HE friction mounted, that is less impactful (literally)

It's less abought how bright the LEDs are, and more about how opaque those switches are (which is a lot)

so raws is a good solution since its like 80% of the rgb, and cheaper and u dont need to lube

While KOM switches are very stable, they are completely dry except three small dots at the bottom. They aren't the best sounding switches out there.

Consider getting other switches like Owlab Ti's, they cost like $50 if you order them from DeltaKey, they sound/feel great.

Switches don't perform better or worse than others - they just FEEL and SOUND differently.
If RGB is important, then I'd grab a switch that works with that, and ignore the potential difference.

Not really possible to know beforehand unless someone else has used it and confirmed it to work well.

Trying isn’t going to damage the board, so if the cable ends up causing issues, you can always return it.

there was an issue with old firmware where some rgb stuff would stay on in tachyon mode which would not allow it to run at full 8k but that got fixed awhile back

I got paint peeling off on my zinc alloy. I got it in februari. There’s no dents, scratching it just flaked off.

Thought it was grime and first so I rubbed it with my finger and more just flakes right off

Is this a issue that would be under warranty? I saw stuff about earlier 80hes having paint adherence problems

Keyboard just started connecting and disconnecting and now it wont work at all
Factory reset through the wootility app never completes and always shows different errors as well, and during the last time i tried to reset the E and R keys randomly lit up. Any tips?
