Hi, I have a small problem with my 80 HE. My left arrow key isn’t working—no response at all. But when I press the key above RShift, it activates the RGB for both keys at the same time. that can be placebo as well hahaha. I have both boards and they are both fantastic. Yes. the 80he sounds better stock but if you ask me if you gain performance advantage from swapping, hell no. I am very satisfied with both of them and use both still. I think the true advantage/difference is the layout as I was sorely missing the f keys and the directional keys as i was using a macropad for them.

Hi, I've got my wooting like 2 or 3 weeks ago and I've come across this problem as well, I changed USB ports on motherboard, used stock cable with and without the USB-A adapter provided, different cable and I come across an issue not only disconnecting and not reconnecting but also of stuck keys. The keys that get stuck are usually random, but in my gaming profiles more noticeable. I was thinking about my ability to fat-finger such keys, but once I wasn't even pressing the key E and it kept going until pressed again. I have turned off Tachyon mode, set my keyboard to 1kHz rate but the problem seem to be still present, but not as much. (maybe caused by some interference with my gaming mice that are set to 2khz or even 4/8khz polling rate?)

Any tips for this? Could the cause of these issues be the same and thus being loose JST cable? Or should I try anything else like restoring the keyboard or factory resetting the keyboard? Thanks in advance, i'm using wootility 5.0 and the firmware on my keyboard is v2.10.1-beta.5

Hi, sorry digging up older stuff (although it was just 6 days ago, found this through search since I was thinking about using OpenRGB again) -- just wanted to add, that per my own testing, Mystic Light from MSI Center apparently can cause issues, too.

Having said this, I think it would be time to turn this topic around by 180 degrees. I feel Wooting should check what exactly is causing all of those RGB control programs to generate issues with the 80HE. Something I feel shouldn't be happening. (You know the adage: "if you have problems with everyone, maybe you are the problem" ;-))

yo I have a possibly stupid question. Currently I have a quite heavy keyboard that's case is made of metal, and I ordered the 80he with the plastic case. I like how my current keyboarrd is kinda massive, only moves when i want it to move, and now im worried about the plastic case of my 80HE. Can you accidentaly move it, does it have rubber feet, or is it way lighter?

oh well, I checked and my current keyboard is 1100g , the PCR ABS 80HE is 790g , and the zinc alloy is 2160g, so nothing to worry about i guess

Silicone feet. And being able to push it comes down to what surface it's on, and how hard you push. I can absolutely push the PCR case around on a deskpad, if I try to.

Much more difficult with the Zinc case - but still possible.

Latest white zinc update is towards the end, no current time table. With lunar new year happening, production is going to halt for a few weeks before restarting. If I were to wager a guess, I’d aim for late spring early summer time, but that timeframe is just speculation since we don’t have much else to go off of

Actually looking at Jade Pros I now see where the Lekker V2 off center tabs come from, but Lekker V2 forgot to put in a light diffuser like the Jade Pro, so the Jade Pro ends up being much easier to take out of the socket than the Lekker…

The weight delta between low profile and normal caps is so incredibly minor I’m not willing to entertain that providing a performance difference

And as mentioned, heavier caps reduce the force needed to depress a key

So technically if you wanted easier to depress keys you’d want lighter springs and heavier caps
