The lack of "clickyness" is probably due to it being gasket mounted instead of tray mounted. When you strike a key, it's being softened a bit by the silicone gasket holding the PCB in the case, rather than transmitting directly to the case as in the 60.

It was an issue the moment I opened up the keyboard, it was very loose. Took barely any force to unplug the connector from the PCBA

Just use some tape to hold the connector in place, but not sure what option would be better.

Hey guys, I'm new here and in the market for the Wooting 80HE.
I am currently using the Corsair K100 RGB with the Corsair OPX switches and I dont know which switches (L60 V2 / L45 V2) I should take 😦

The Corsair OPX have an activation force of 45g and do feel kinda "heavy".
The L60 V2 have 40 and L45 V2 have 30...

Which one to take? 🫣 😬

It sounds like you'd want the L45s. There is no "activation force" on HE switches since you can choose whatever actuation point you want, but the midway point (typical location for activation) for the L45s should require less force thatn the ones you were using, from the sounds of it.

Alternatively, you could also look into some of the other switch offerings like Jade Pro/Geon Raw HE, both of which have similar weights to L45 but different feel/sound characteristics.

There are a few videos on wooting’s YT to show the assembly steps, if you wanna lube your switches you’ll need to buy the lube/brushes separately but Wooting also has a kit you can buy as well.

Figured it out! The channel leading from the actual LEDs on the PCB to the diffuser on the cover got slightly angled when I installed the cover, so the led was occluded. Popped the thing back open and saw it instantly.

It means the bootloader failed to kick in on poweron. You might be able to fix it with a factory reset.

Its all preference, L45 are 4mm travel open bottom, they have deeper sound.

Jade pros are 3.5mm travel closed bottom switches with clacky sound profile, also compared to Lekker switches they have reduced stem wobble. so they are more stable and sound is cleaner too because of that.

You can try getting them both 10pc each maybe and see which you like more 🤷‍♂️

It's mostly the uncertainty from couriers causing it.
It's one thing to have an estimate on the hub - But having couriers refuse to scan in packages and just show "Package? What package?" until the day before deliver is frustrating.

And yeah - The White Zinc case has a similar problem. We don't know with certainty when we can get the new cases made and shipped yet. So also no estimate.

I sent myself a christmas package with DHL on early december from Spain to NL... it usually arrives within 5 days to NL and then 1-2 days for delivery....

Well, DHL decided they didnt like the package and after 3 weeks of delays and "failed deliveries", they marked the package as delivered, but it never left the warehouse... Then 2 weeks after they returned back to sender...

î wanted to give my gaming wasd some grip and went with rubber keycaps from ducky - it literly showed how cheap keycapsets (and they where not that cheap honestly) can impakt the typing
spacebar not only wobbles but sits not snug on the stabs i needet to put a etry tissue in the mold to keep the spacebar STABLE and on top of that the spacebar sounds horrible

that shows nicely how important high quality keycaps realy can be

With an asterisk. Windows 11 is pretty good.. but I'm using third party software to move my task bar to the right side of my left monitor, so it's not along the bottom. You can no longer do that through windows 11 itself.
