Yes this. My feedback to the Wooteam as far as hardware, after assembling 2 different 80HEs at least twice each, would be to make that daughter board cable like 5mm longer. That’d allow for soooo much more mobility and visibility during assembly.

My technique was just pray I haven’t just cut my finger nails so I have enough nail to push either side of the connector in with my two thumb nails, then you kinda just have to get the cable into a position where you can see it it but it also has enough slack to put into the cable holder thing without tugging on it, then from there you kinda just end up losing sight of it and hope it works out as you close it up.

As far as I know, it’s not the end of the world if the cable doesn’t make it into the little holder thing.

I don’t think the jst connector has any noticeable feedback. I’ve seen some that do in mice. But they aren’t strong even if they do. I just press it with my thumb nails until it won’t go any more. Then once you have the case closed you can plug it in and check before screwing it in, or only partially screw it together to check.

It feels more like how you would play normally but you get a little kick in how fast you switch opposite strafing. Snappy tappy requires you changing your behavior, but does result in better performance if you're willing to do that.

I was on the fence too for a while and coming from years of using razer keyboards (including the razer huntsman v3 pro), going with Wooting keyboard wise has been one of my favourite decisions. I got the black zinc ansi prebuilt and although pre pricey, the modding potential to make it however you want in addition to the quality, the sound, the insane software, the amazing warranty along with good customer service, it just makes sense long term wise. The only painful thing is the wait, but it is 100% worth it

Coming from my Rog Azoth which was infinitely more inconsistent and more expensive than stock, 80HE is worth every penny. Also lets you personally customize yours to fit your needs which is tremendous.

After a few weeks, on different areas, the paint has started to peel off from the case. When I took photos of this problem, I have noticed that all the keycaps got washed out on their bottom part.
