the 8k issue seems to have been fixed recently

they released a test update that has been working really well. Bunch of us installed it yesterday and haven't had a freeze issue with it since then

honestly it's kind of the reverse - with wooting you're typically getting much more responsive and regular software updates than big brands. You'll be surprised how many big brands have a lot of small issues that basically never get fixed or addressed with their HE boards and they just say 'screw it' and don't do anything about it

generally these days though more and more games are just saying no macros whatsoever, as anti cheat becomes more strict

i've played around with it before on some boards that support it. It's interesting but can be super scuffed. You basically have to be running a very very stable bottom out switch and even then it's really easy to release accidentally if it's true 0.02 (some brands still cheat and do 0.02 but add some deadzone back so it's like 0.07 or whatever)

Pls Help! A few days ago I clicked a firmware update for my wooting 80HE in wootility and I think it got stuck in the update or it never finished or something. Anyway it has not been working since, my pc does not detect it and wootility will not detect it either. I tried connecting it to my laptop as well and it wont detect it either. I tried resetting it using the youtube video that wooting has, but there is not compatible firmware for the 80HE so none of that works. Jade Pros came in. Popped them on, and I'm pleased, though the difference from the OGs is a bit less pronounced than I'd expected. Not that that's a terrible thing, as I like the OG Jades. As you mentioned they are rock solid and a touch smoother. I guess the sound is the one department I was a bit let down by - in person they sound very similar to the OGs to my ears.

The differences to my knowledge is they made the tolerances tighter than OGs (less wobble) and improved the spring for better rebound and smoother feel

I would not say they are garbage. The spacebar may need some lubing to sound better.

As for long poles, you only need them if you're using long pole switches such as Geon RAW HE or Gateron Jades, and even then it's not 100% necessary.

Good Day, I have my keyboard 80HE Zinc and everytime I use the wootility software it glitches out and my enter and the back space and some other keys dont register. I have to reset keyboard to factory default to get it to work. And using it without the software ... Is there a fix for this or support that can help?

I had to do a module swap because of a faulty one. Trying to remove the switches I broke both prones of the plastic puller. I tried wobbling the keys like mentionned in their tutorial but most of them are very stuck inside of the plate.

Well, if you have the extra $ you could toss a spring pack in on a pre-built and pick up a cheap switch opener. If you end up hating the 60g, you have another small project!

It is unfortunately a problem w/ switches, they're really down to preference in many ways and without knowing someone with some to try you just have to go in blind to some extent.

The prebuilt at least comes with I think 1x 45g for you to try out, but that's honestly not gonna give the best idea either, since it's just one.

I went through the same experience. I have L60s from my prebuilt that I'm currently waiting on 45g springs to swap in.
