north/south clips don't actually move away when you grab the switch from the top, yes

you're better off helping them out from behind/bottom

finding just wiggeling them with the switch puller and pushing from behind is most effective

some of the latches gets damaged but not broken - cant get them out any other way

I heard that you can rotate the switches on a wooting to make it have south facing rgb. How does that work?

You've misunderstood something.

What you can (but don't need to) is flip the north facing switches south facing. This means almost no LED light (cause you're blocking the LED with the switch now).

This helps you install some KEYCAPS that don't work with north facing - but it's been a year or two since we fixed that with all of our switches.

you can't really push them in too hard, they're either in properly or not

I mean no matter how hard you push down switch, it's not going to be any tighter. Unless the whole itself is super tight for the switch size. It's the small plastic notches there that hook at the bottom edge of the plate to kind of prevent it from pushing up from the plate.

it's a usb power issue of some sort. Turn polling down to 1k in wootility if you have this issue right now

well the point of HE is that you can change the actuation points no matter what switches youre using (as long as they are HE and wooting compatible)

lets say you want 0.5mm actuation, you can do that on raws, jades, lekkers

etc

the only difference would be the bottom out distance

for example, geon raws have 3.4mm of travel and the lekkers have 4mm

in wootings software (as of now) you would use the actuation slider as 0-100% for geon raws and mm distance for lekkers

people didnt have issues and some did, unfortunately i was one of those who had issues with it

the wires wouldnt go into the clipping area on the stabilizer housing

(which isnt even the issue i listed above)

so i had go return TX APs and buy SW Knight V2s

TX AP and Knight V2s are both solid options in terms of stab replacements

imo the clear plastic on Knights helped me because i could see how much lube i was putting on and made everything more consistent

have you done the keyboard inspector test in safe mode? usually, unless you have the highest end of pcs, the noise from the OS (background apps scheduling cpu away) is simply too much for an 8k peak to show up easily

Hi mat, is what sno|jed said accurate about keyboard inspector not supporting 80HE? I get readouts just fine from it except specifically at 8 khz toggled with tachyon off where it registers the keyboard at ~190 Hz. Can you confirm if this is true or not?

keyboard inspector does not "support" any specific keyboard

there is no need for that distinction in the software

usually getting accurate readouts past ~4khz is difficult solely due to noise in your OS

I have gotten 8k readings but only peak. I noticed you removed the peak verbiage in the latest version though. With wooting 80HE i see around 6500 Hz. My pc for reference is a 14900k and ddr 5 7200 mhz ram, minimal background apps

At any rate keep in mind that you have to enable 8khz in two places for both polling AND scanning.
Scanning is Tachyon, Polling is the 8khz toggle in settings.

i checked your latest review peak on magger keyboard and the result you got is too noisy and means literally nothing, in that case the peak at text is extremely misleading and that's why it was removed, it was only confusing users in this situation. (in case of a clean read it's also pointless as you can just, read the obvious peak)

You're sure the keycap is pushed down fully when installing it? It shouldn't be able to just pop off.

Yeah, I've had to do it multiple times. The stablizer is also really weird for this key, for other keys you can pull it up, and it stays up, but for this key it shots back down agressively.
