11th gen was pretty disappointing. it just really wasnt worth it over the 10th gen. they both preformed similarly and the price to performance on the 11th gen just wasnt it.
I think that was the case with the 14th gen from the 13th gen. Minimal gains, if I recall correctly.
14th gen sucked, 13th was a good improvement over 12th. minus the whole 13900k killing itself part

there are a good few things I would say wooting failed to deliver on with the release of the 80he yes, but I dont see how the fulfillment center messing up is on wooting.
it is easy to compare this situation to other products and at the end of the day wooting could have done better. This issue is probably much more complex than it seems
they apologized and are offering to make it right + replace what was damaged -- so what else do you want? execution? public spanking?

It's not about bootlicking. Wooting has apologized this happened, has presumably corrected the issue going forward, and is offering free replacements for damaged product. What else would you like them to do?

For the fact that my shipment was already delayed because UPS had a mechanical failure of the truck transporting it and the last time I had something poly bagged it was destroyed I'll have my fingers crossed but not feeling hopeful. No fault to wooting, just unfortunate timeline.

people have the right to be angry that their keyboard didn't get shipped correctly. I think what a lot of folks are pointing out though is that wooting has already done/in the process of doing a lot of the suggested things to avoid this happening in the future and they're taking full responsibility with full replacements for any broken items
I wont shed a tear over some broken switches, but it would be nice to know they found out what went wrong and made a change to prevent it in the future
To be fair this is the "community" they want, the company themselves already acknowledged mistakes, and most likely will replace your order if it is broken. I'm just disappointed in them that's all.
Yeah I believe this was just a first batch problem. Going forward it should be fixed. And Wooting will replace those switches for you.

I own a business and I'm well aware of customer service. You can lick their balls like the rest of the people in here. This is straight up a horrible launch and a bad way to approach the fuck up. A lot kore than an our apologies e mail is the first step.

That said they're also doing their best to resolve it and it's something that was very unfortunate in that they even had the boxes bought and there for the warehouse to use, but something was messed up in the chain with the packing rules and this resulted

Saying its not wooting fault is the issue, i agree that this is a fulfillment issue, but at the end of the day we gave money to wooting and expect a good quality product, so the failure to deliver it in 1 piece fall under the one who take the money, which is wooting. That is how business is man, u cant just shift blame when it is convenient. I don't want anything from them, i just want to voice my complaints as a customer that is all.

Feedback is fair. Hindsight is also worthly chance to learn. But what will the additional "this is not enough" entail, or what more will those heartfelt venting opportunities contribute? What is the appropriate course of action for you? They take responsibility. They are saying you will have all that you are owed. It sucks, but you cannot magically make anything happen. Only take the lessons learned and try to ensure it won't happen again. There's not a whole lot more they can do here.

you're right, wooting could've put more effort into making sure the fulfillment center was using boxes instead of bags. the problem is that they werent aware of the issue until the keyboard started shipping, now its too late. they're doing everything possible to try and fix the issue. I understand having criticism, but I personally feel that your criticism is a bit misplaced. I understand emotions can be high when you spend a lot of money and have said money in limbo, but there are better ways to let out your frustrations. saying "wowzers wooting did bad!!!!" isnt going to help anyone here.

The fulfiment center shipped over 4000 orders in poly bags instead of boxes - against our express wishes. Shit happened, and we're doing all we can to set things right for those affected.
If you have received an order in a poly bag (or otherwise) that has broken items, reach out to us for assistance, and we'll help get replacements shipped to you as needed. Yes this will take some time due to how busy our ticket load is, but we can't fix that shortterm.

I actually broke more switches my first time around on the 60HE. I think I broke 6 switches by the time I had modded everything. I also opened them like 4 different times though lol.

The fulfillment service we use is quite large, their main warehouse for our products is in Nevada but they also have warehouses in Texas, Pennsylvania, and Florida

Its really depends, when i get freight out of LA it cost more but my parts are good condition. At the end of the day it really depends on the company.
I know mis communications and accidents happen. My only qualm with this whole ordeal is the time Lost if the product is damaged. I already made an exception due to the white zinc scratching because I didn't want to wait an additional month or two. Now if my keyboard arrives damaged today I have no clue how long a replacement will take. No window was given. That's why I'm upset.

its usually the zinc ones that get fked the most tho, the weight of it burst open the switch box easily
If it weren't for the travel case, my keyboard would have been damaged. If you didn't get a keyboard with a case, I'd not count on your keyboard arriving in working shape.

i don't think we've seen any reports of zinc keyboards getting totalled due to them coming inside of that travel case. The switches on other hand are toast in half the cases

The free switches come in a plastic container, inside a small box. The problem, is that they are rolling around in a poly bag with basically a 7 lb rectangular weight smashing into them. So some people have had their switch jar opened / loose switches in the bag. But not everyone. Mine was fine.

No, the email specifically states that if your switch pack busted over and switches went everywhere, you do not need to count or test them - we will replace the switch pack

Got my zinc white a few minutes ago, along with seeing the polybag email. I need to try the keyboard but cosmetically it looks undamaged, despite the box being beaten up pretty bad. The switch pack box was pretty much destroyed so will be opening a support ticket when possible. Not blaming Wooting, but really curious who at the warehouse thought it is a good idea to not use boxes when shipping electronics. To be fair, Amazon uses bags quite a bit with electronics and collectibles, which also boggles my mind.

I was just uncomfortable but didn’t care when white zinc had minor problems, but now I have a issue on the shipping and now I have to wait at least 2 weeks to get reply on the ticket and reshipping my item. I'm sorry to read about your experience. Our customer service times are unacceptably slow, it's something we've been struggling with for a long time now. We've doubled the size of the team multiple times, added all kinds of automations and systems improvements, but man the tickets don't slow down 😅

I often ship things from Korea through FedEx, because EMS.. which is from KoreaPost to USPS takes longer and more expensive for some reason

I havent had major issues with USPS - just dealing with insurance claims through them sucks. I strictly use PirateShip now and their claims process is much better
