The only thing I'd tell you to be careful of is not putting too much pressure on the PCB while assembling/putting everything together. I almost ruined one of my earlier builds like this.

Nothing is time limited as such - the frost case (and raw zinc) are only available as loose cases for the module self assembly.

We may decide to retire some colours and do new ones down the road, but we're talking next year at the earliest for sure.

Wrist rests don't give any real ergonomic benefit and are actually more likely to cause you issues

Lubing is completely up to you, you can spend 4 hours lubing all your switches etc for a slightly better sound 🙂

Unless you have really small hands then it probably doesn't benefit... wrist rest puts your wrist higher resulting in you curling your fingers even more to reach the bottom row

if you care about ergonomics you need one of those and for the rest of us you use a wristrest if you want and you don't if you don't

I'm planning to buy the Wooting 80HE keyboard and was wondering if anyone here knows a site where I can find good keycaps for it (with the right layout). I found the Coffee Cat keycaps, which I love a lot visually, but they aren't the right layout. The enter key is much smaller for example and some other keys dont have the righ things on them, and I think it's an ANSI layout. I'm from Germany and need a German ISO layout. Does anyone know if the Coffee Cat keycaps are available in a German layout (i legit dont find anything on google)or where I might find similar vibe(like cats and brown/green/black) ones that fit?

I saw a video on the League of Legends subreddit yesterday where a player with a new PC experienced stuttering and lagging in the game. The issue was caused by using an 8kHz mouse which created problems with League.

I am wondering if the same issue could happen with the 80HE. Could it cause stuttering in League of Legends or other games with old, unoptimized code? Is it because of the CPU not being able to handle 8kHz wireless or does it have to do with Lol code, or maybe both? Since when I uncap my FPS, the game lags and stutters at 1000 FPS instead of being smooth, so I need to cap it at 240 FPS. My Pc is good so it might just have sth to do with lol code?

Alternatively, since the mouse is 8kHz and wireless, it might create more problems, whereas the Wooting keyboard is cable-connected and might not cause any issues?

Btw Is the polling rate for the 80HE adjustable in the settings?

It should not be a problem. And if it is, you can lower the rate.

its batch specific. first batch is falled eu kampioen or na champion. second batch is eu brug or na bridge.
you will be assigned to the NA batches if you're in the US. most places outside of the US fall under eu batches

im kinda torn between getting an 80he or 60he+ i was thinking of getting my first fully custom keyboard with the milktooth dash switches so i was going to order the module of the 80he but i really have 0 experience modding keyboards and i'm kinda scared to break smth. and buying a brand new case and keycaps really eat into my budget with the 80s module, and while the 60he would be cheaper in that matter after using a standard 60% keyboard for a while now id really prefer to have the arrow keys. so my main dilemma is do i buy a standard 80he prebuilt or get a 60he module and fully mod it?

There will be a guide for assembling the 80he module just like how there is with the 60he module, if that helps. Whether or not you’re fine without a f row and arrows thats up to you.

Building module is actually super easy because wootings modules are semi built already

It’d be a bit trickier if it was assembled from scratch, but the 60he module comes basically ready to put into a case already with just some screws

my previous keyboard was a razer blackwidow v4, but it started giving double inputs so I returned it yesterday. Lowkey a blessing in disguise cuz now i can get the 80he and actually get a comp advantage

and a far better keyboard based on what i researched of the 60he

from my understanding its the same as the 60he except with arrow keys and f row. 8k polling, and it sounds/feels a bit better and it has lekker v2s. Is that right?

The first production batch of V1.5 might incorrectly state v2 on the packaging. Basically there was a miscommunication with the people doing the stickers, and we didn't catch it till they were already on their way to the warehouse.

Calder recorded the sample on the website. He did manually lube the stabilizers back then, as we didn't have pre-lubed stabs on the early EVT samples.

Hopefully next week Mark will be able to get some PVT samples from our warehouse towards me to make some sound tests on.

Different switches can produce different kinds of sounds. Some people like silent switches, some people like clicky, some like clacky or thocky sound profiles in their switches. If you're going to be using it for many years, people want to make sure they get a switch that they enjoy listening to. Case material and interior foam/silicone padding also contributes.

Well it's not about the sound while gaming, but the sound for all other activities... I have much more fun using a nice sounding keyboard with lubed switches and a bit of Gascet Performance even though functionally it does the same as a normal one

and to be honest, for the games I play, I won't even notice the HE switches from the wooting. I ordered the 80HE because the whole package sounds really good
