anodizers are setup to do alu usually and not zinc (which needs entirely different conditions) so you'd be hard pressed to get it done in most places

it's why most of us thinking of changing the color ourselves are looking at cerakote instead

More specifically you will have to install switches on the PCB, install the PCB into the case, connect the daughterboard cable, screw the case and PCB together. And then install keycaps.

If you go with the PCR plastic for now, you can always buy a zinc case at a later date if you're unsure if you want it or not.

Of course getting it with your original order is cheaper.

Any white peripherals will turn to yellow in time, I believe... Like mouse.. But then again you won't touch the side of the keyboard much (if we're talking about the base), but the keycaps, I think it will change color, especially the WASD

I feel bad for some people who choose keyboards with raw zinc alloy cases because these cases require more maintenance, and keyboards tend to be neglected. It's like with wedding rings: if you take them with a high-gloss finish, you need to polish them regularly. If you go for a matte finish, you still need to polish them, and either way, they often end up looking opposite of what you wanted. And then there's oxidation...
