I enjoy having ambient light, but the recent RGB craze can be quite overwhelming. I prefer effective and subtle lighting over the flashy "Christmas" or "prostitute" style lights.

For example, Logitech's Mechanical MX Keys has perfect lighting. It features a close motion sensor that activates the light when you approach the keyboard and turns it off after a while. However, I do miss the ability to switch from a cool to a warm color (white to yellow).

My mouse offers a lot of RGB options, but what I really appreciate is the light under the charging station. It indicates which profile is currently in use, which is very helpful.

The HE80 with its light bar also provides useful status information, enhancing the overall experience.

Yo I preordered my 80HE just wondering if the key layout is gonna be able to be put in different cases? In my experience most TKL keyboards have the arrow keys further out so just wondering if it'll be possible to put the 80HE module in the majority of other cases

Don't be overly worried about it, aslong as the keyboard is popular (and it will pretty much no matter what just because of how popular the 60HE is right now) there will be custom cases made by third parties that will fit

I wonder if it is possible with the Wooting software and Rappy Snappy to change SOCD so that if you press 1 and then 6, 6 always takes priority, and if you press 1 and then 4, 1 takes priority. However, I guess since the Wooting team is not as focused on fighting games, this might not be the case.

im new too, but as far as im aware, cherry may or may not have interverence with row 2 with the switches. if they do, flip the HE switches 180° (under the assumption you get a wooting 60HE+ or 80HE

the biggest concern is whether or not your layout is ANSI, ISO or JIS or some variant, check to make sure the keycap set supports the layout in question (60% 75% TKL 100% etc)

in CS2 there's kind of a similar thing with counter strafing as mentioned on the website

when you move in CS2 it makes your bullet spread like insanely large

so you basically never want to be moving while shooting, apart from some guns like Mac-10 where it isn't as big of an issue

but when you let go of movement keys to stop, you're still moving for like half a second

so you tap the opposite direction key to stop faster, which is what counter strafing is

but when you press both direction keys at the same time, it's the same as pressing none, so the same thing can happen unless you let go first

it'll probably be really difficult to find compatible cases for the 80HE at launch.

And it'll be subjective. I would recommend checking out the wooting youtube channel. they've been releasing regular vlogs on the 80HE's push to production.

I think the Zinc Case will be great. I plan on getting it in the future as well 😄

i noticed a lot of wooting60 he custom their case to "Tofu", between tofu and zinc alloy of 80he, are the zinc alloy good quality for a keyboard case? i heard a lot of good things about tofu case.

If you're getting a 80he, tofu won't fit

because it's a 60% case and the 80he is 80%, with a non-standard layout, even though a standard TKL layout doesn't even exist

The Tofu is just an aluminum case. its decent. theres better aluminum cases out there. and theres different types of aluminum cases.

I'm curious about the zinc but i'll wait until after launch to buy it :D. maybe i'll get a 80he Module and then make a whole new 80HE 😄

pretty sure all the switches available for the 60He are magnetic because they use the Hall Effect (hence "He")

the Jades sound the nicest I've heard

L45s are the lightest but you can get springs to make them lighter (I think it's the spring pack on Wooting's website)

Eh Listen to some Sound Tests on Youtube but keep in mind there are many modifications u can do to make your keyboard sound differently

While some say the wooting is hard to sound upgrade, I think the sound is alright not to noisy and that's what matters for me
