I have the WL mouse. Software is definitely not aesthetic and pleasing at all, but gets the job done. As for battery life, I had no issues keeping it at 2k polling rate (lasts me for an entire day of Cs). One issue with my unit is that when low battery (around 10%), the sensor starts having a mind of it's own. Another issue is that you can still feel the grooves at the side with the grip tape on, which may or may not be off putting for you.
